    Hi brandon_g,
My apologies for the reply later and happy holidays! When Flash crashes in Firefox, there are some troubleshooting steps that may be recommended to avoid that it doesn't happen.

However, in order to disable flash please click the Firefox Menu (three horizontal bar button):

    1. In the menu, click on Add ons
    2. Click on plugins on the page that opens
    3. Next to Shockwave Flash player, you can click on 'Always enable' and change to 'ask to activate '.

  • m9400t BIOS does not update

HP posted 5.32 BIOS update today, but I get an error when you try to install it on my m9400t.  I get two boxes of error as follows:

    "install.exe" AFUWIN BENS.32/b/p/c/q

Cannot perform the specified command line

I restarted in safe mode, rebooted Windows with everything and even clicked on run as s Adminitrator, even if I was in the administrator account.

I also downloaded the file three times and even tried to run out of the office with him remains off including sidebar.

Ideas appreciated as support HP seems puzzled.

    Thank you;

    Al

Good news, the new link for a Meg 1.67 file worked fine on Vista 64 bit with cable Tuner equipped system.   I don't have to reboot twice for all four cores to be noticed, as the initial start has only shown a CPU two core.

I wish everyone a happy holiday and without surprises of HP more!

  • Satellite X 200-219 overheating all on the line and stops

OK, I've lived originally in the United Kingdom, where I bought a Toshiba X 200-219.
Since then, I moved to the States, and have the laptop plugged into a surge protected extension, attached to the converter plug.

After the warranty is expired on the laptop, I upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and over two Seagate 320 GB 7200 RPM hard drives.

Now since I moved to the States, the laptop has been overheating, more and more frequently even * before * I updated components; This happens usually all in game. I have been regularly blowing dust that may have settled inside the vents with compressed air

But this time it's different. I played Red Alert 3, and he did it 3 times. When the laptop during the heat, I have to remove the power cord, then reinsert it before starting. Except the last time I tried this, the laptop has not begun. There is absolutely no sign of life of the thing, even after cooling for the last 2 hours. There was still all lights recognizing that the power cord is plugged. Oh and I have replaced the fuse so it is impossible that (the battery is in the back in this case)

In the United Kingdom, the laptop ran at a normal temperature. Here, it was running hot to the touch and the fan was screaming but it was manageable.
He ran even hotter on the odd game I played, but not while films en/decoding.

Please don't become one of * those * threads where everything runs out and I do not get a response. Any ideas please?

    Happy holidays people

    Aseel

    Hello

Overheating is a serious problem, because high temperatures can damage the internal parts.
The internal temperature will rise to a higher level, because all devices such as the CPU and GPU are running with high performance all in game.
In this case, the module cooling fans must turn more quickly to make sure that the hot air blow

In many cases, the cooling modules may not work properly because dust and debris clogs the vents or there is not enough thermal paste between the CPU and GPU or cooling module.

In addition he s not recommended to use NON-Toshiba graphic drivers because these not Toshiba graphics drivers are not designed for the use of the laptop and can lead to overheating problems.
You must also make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop. It is important for good air circulation costs.

But of course a faulty cooling module could be also responsible for these overheating problems, and in this case ONLY the ASP would be able to help.

    Welcome them

  • Try to add a new hard disk to m7657c

So, after about 6 years, we you're still enjoying our Media Center Office and have made a few updates here and there (OS, graphics card, etc.). Now, we're tired of running out of disk space and want to add a new hard drive. Now, according to the specifications of the product (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00794034), we should have two internal drive bays 3.5 ". Which one should be available. Where is located the?

I have removed the side and before the panels, can see where the existing HARD drive is mounted on the side of the Bay of media player owner, but I can't find any other anchor point to place a secondary HARD disk. There is a lot of power open and SATA connections, but I am at a loss to find a Bay.

Before the wreck I have my system trying to kluge something together, I want to know where the available Bay is supposed to exist.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    joverstreet001,

Happy holidays to you.  Your detailed question and knowledge have a simple answer.  Thank you very much!!!. Some chassis models have 4 screw holes in the bottom of the unit. You need to ask to see.

  • Qosmio G40 crashes and some programs do not respond

Hello and happy holidays to all.

Please could I get help with my G40?
The pc hangs and will not work.
Ccreens lock and I get constant messages that the programs do not respond.

I ran all the controls, I could find, chkdsk to invite cmd, defragmentation etc. There is no reported problem.

I used the professional system of mechanic to check the registry and everything else, once again nothing of what should not be expected were reported.

I ran all the software tests virus and malcious.

I think I want to restore the pc to factory settings but can't find any option to do so.

    All ideas
    Stafford

    Hello!

If you want to restore the laptop to factory settings and that you have Vista, you must start from the recovery discs or press F8 at startup and then select Repair my computer and follow the instructions in the menu.
If you have Windows XP, you have the recovery disks.

Prior to this, back up your data first. The HARD drive will erase completely.

I also think it s the best way to reinstall Windows, but you should also check if you have the most recent BIOS:

  • Presario CQ61-110SL: upgrade for laptop Presario CQ61-110SL from XP to Windows 7 with new SSD EVO 840

In fact on Presario CQ61-110SLI I have XP installed the Vista of origin instead.

Now I want to upgrade to Windows 7 and contestually get a new SSD Samsung 840 rather original EVO... What is the correct procedure?

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

There is no procedure to upgrade from XP to Win 7, it would be clean installation.

    1. place the SSD drive in the machine instead of the HARD disk

    2. start the installation of Win 7 disc to install Win 7 (best x 64 edition)

3 install the drivers of the machine, you can download from >here<

Windows 7 is optimized to work with SSD, there will be no problem.

If you have important data on your old HDD, you can either save it before (on external support, USB key, Cloud solution, etc.)  or after it (via a USB cable plugged into the laptop as external drive). This is also an option to transfer data.

Please, let me know if you have any other questions. Happy holidays!

  • Printing cancelled

Printing from a Dell laptop with Windows 8 use wireless, jobs on a HP 6510 cancel about three-quarters of the way through. It doesn't seem to matter which is the source. None of the trials show that anything false and print test OK, including those of HP printing pages and the Scan Doctor (who could not find no problem), but other jobs always cancel before they are finished.

    Hey @SFALCONE14 ,

Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.

I see that you have problems with your printer, cancelling the documents you want to print once filled about 3 quarters of the printing process. You use a Photosmart HP 6510 e-all-in-one printer Windows 8 on a DELL computer. I see that you gave the impression HP and doctor Scan one go and it has not been able to resolve the issue. Good on you to find and use the resource, sorry that he could not fix it for you.

I think the thing we need to do here is to tear the software of the printer from the computer and reinstall in the hope that the problem is resolved after a software reset.

So to do this you will first need to uninstall the software completely from your computer. You may know how to do this, but make sure that you remove its software as a whole not only to remove the printer from the printer directory. In case you want to some easy to follow instructions, I will attach a link below for how to uninstall.

    Uninstalling the printer software

After you're done uninstalling you'll need to do a complete reinstall of the software and I recommend that to hp.com so that you can be sure to have the most updated version. For some easy to follow instructions on how to go about this use the link I have provided below! (just select the hyperlink in Windows 8 on the page for the steps)

Set up your printer for a wireless network for the device HP Photosmart print 6510 e-all-in-One Printer Series

I would like to know how the whole process goes for you and have a great day! Happy holidays!
