OTG for Omni 10

Hello, OTG micro USB B cable is compatible with the Omni 10? the Tablet has A micro-USB port. Thank you

Hi orlandoizac, welcome to the Forums of HP. I understand that you have an OTG Micro B cable and want to use it with your 10 Omni. According to Specifications of the HP Omni 10 5600us Tablet product has a Micro USB 2.0 type b connector (support Host Mode only) that can support the Micro A and B microphone (if you have another model of Omni 10, it may vary). If you can plug it in do it carefully, I can't guarantee that proper operation with your tablet.

  • HP Omni 220 PC: Compatible for Omni 220 PC graphics card

I have an Omni 220 with an Intel i7 2.8o GHz I have 8 GB of Ram and card mother Pegatron IPISB-NK w / 2 taken minimap PCI Express and a PCI Express MXM socket that takes care of a PCI Express x 16 graphics card. The BIOS version & date is: AMI7.07 / 11/18/2011.

I currently have a GeForce GT540M graphics card and it is not able to run newer games. Anyone know of a cardboard for ~ $150, which made my existing configuration and allow me to play newer games?

Space seems to be limited to this all-in-one PC.

Yes. Space is limited. Your PC is not really intended to be upgraded.

The type of video card requires that your PC is pretty specialized.

It has a PCI Express MXM slot that supports a PCI Express x 16 graphics card (generation 2 speed), not a standard PCI Express x 16 card.

They are seriously not easy to find. There used to be a website that sold, but he went bankrupt.

  • Omni 27-1100d: reset password BIOS for Omni 27-1100d

    Hello

I try to use VirtualBox to run Ubuntu 14.04 x 64 but I got this message

"Acceleration hardware VT-x/AMD-V is not available on your system. Your 64-bit host fails to detect a CPU 64 bit and will not be able to start. »

When I try to enter the BIOS Setup, it always ask for password. How do reset you password BIOS for HP Omni 27-1100d?

From what I understand from the internet, I can force the BIOS to reset by altering the checksum or removing the CMOS battery. Is there another way? I want to just erase the BIOS password not the configuration of the BIOS.

    Thank you.

    PS:

    I use HP Omni 27 - 1100d, dual boot Windows 7 (OEM) and Ubuntu x 64 14.04.

You can clear the BIOS password using the procedure described in the motherboard specifications document. There is no need to remove the CMOS battery, that would probably remove the current BIOS settings.

  • Find the update of Bios for Omni 27-1007 ev

    Hello

I'm about to upgrade my Omni to Win 8 Greek model and it is suggested that updating the BIOS first.

Problem is when I search English support pages for model HP 'ev' it returns a model not found error. When I select Ellada (Greece) as the site of research and the translation of the page, no software-driver-support links works. If I don't translate the page and then there is strangely no connection with the software and drivers, only announcements of new hardware, etc. I can read Greek, so it's not like I can't find the translated text.

Can someone tell me the latest BIOS for this model or provide a direct link to the info/downlaod BIOS page.

    Thank you, Rob

    Here is the HP Business "drivers and software download" page for your Omni 27-1007 ev Desktop Computer HP. The version of the BIOS available for download is 7.11 rev. A, dated October 3, 2012 date. This update of the BIOS fixes;

  • SQL dev to connect via odbc to non-oracle db

Question asked to me regarding the use of sql dev to connect to a Turbo Image databsae running on a HP-3000 through odbc.  They have odbc drivers, but the front-end client is no longer supported and are looking for an alternative.  I've never used Dev of SQL to connect to a non-oracle database, but it seems as it should, maybe with the OTG for odbc.

    Ideas?

We are a java application. Yes JDBC.

And we offer only 3rd connectivity to help migration of Oracle. Currently we do not support Turbo-Image of database migration to Oracle.

There are however several ODBC database generic tools out there.

  • HP Omni 200 PC: Computer configured for HD TV as a second monitor

I am trying to use my HD TV as a second monitor set up my TV.  My goal is to watch movies from my PC to the TV.  The Omni 200 does not have VGA or HDMI connections.  So I tried to use a 3 USB to HDMI adapter with a long (25') HDMI Cable that I connected to one of the HDMI ports on the TV for my video output.  When I tried to detect the TV as a second monitor, I got a blue screen stating my PC was a dump of data and downtime.  Maybe it's that HDMI cards drivers were not really designed to win 10.  actually, the box said it was for Win 7, 8 and Vista, but the provider told me it would work to win 10.  They insured, in fact I got the driver for Win 10 that I installed, but with my PC crashed anyway.

I'm now considering a 3 USB to VGA instead - and using a long VGA cable to connect to my PC - it has a female connector VGA built in my opinion this solution would work.  And I would use a divider audio stereo 3.5 mm cable to connect a left and right RCA audio cable to the TV.

Someone has an opinion on the question of whether I'd be successful before I buy these cables?  Thank you. Dan

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

According to the Specifications of the motherboard , there are 2 - USB 2.0 and 1.0 on your computer 5 - USB ports.  Here is a video card that can allow you to connect to your TV.  I suggest you contact the manufacturer's Technical Support to make sure it works before buy you.  This will save send back if this does not work.  I do it myself before you buy all new components.  Therefore, it is difficult to know what works today.  Technology changes so quickly.

  • external monitor for HP Omni 10

What can I use as an external monitor to the HP Omni 10? I have a HP W7072a, going to work?

Wow, that was fast! (and useful... I'm surprised that Google has been distraught on "HP W2072a.")

This screen has a "native resolution" of 1600 x 900 pixels, which is the correct report (16 x 9) to display videos and movies. However, it can display only a part of the Office of the Omni at anytime and it will take more scrolling to view the contents of the window & a few pop-ups information may not be displayed correctly. To get an idea of what it will look like, use the control panel displays temporarily set at 1600 x 900 Omni display and see if you find acceptable for your usual activities. This is an important consideration, because an image unique to an external display, it will fix a mouse & possibly a keyboard to your Omni to control what is happening on the screen. If you can 'live with' 1600 x 900 pixels on the screen of the Omni during the projection of a "duplicate" of this to your W2072a from HP, you can avoid the complication of keyboard and mouse. Assuming you are willing to change the display resolution of the Omni if necessary, you will need a 'micro-HDMI Cable VGA adapter' for your Omni to connect to this display. I did not see one of those on the HP shopping site, but here is a link to several:

    Amazon.com: adapter HDMI / vga

(They mainly differ in the length of the cable, and if they are the only two video and audio or video, you will need to decide which type will work best for your situation. Check the comments to find the models rated & no problem...)

I hope this is enough information to help you on your way... You can usually find some Member of the forum available to answer additional questions, and we will certainly appreciate having to report it at the time where the connection works to your satisfaction. You can then mark this "resolved" discussion while the other forum visitors can easily find and enjoy your experience.

    Good luck!

  • replace the graphics card for HP omni 27

I bought the HP omni 27 AIO a few months before and wonder if I could replace my mxm3.0 with the more powerful discrete graphics, one because of the game card. For everything else, this PC is good enough.

Here are the specs of my HP omni 27 PC AIO: 27 "screen, CPU intel i5 3570 3.4 GHZ (Ivy Bridge), nvidia geforce GT 630 MXM3.0a 2 GB DDR3 graphics card discrete, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM,! TB 7200 HDD, lavaca pegatron motherboard.

What are discrete graphics cards you would sugest to me and where is possible to buy?  I recently found a descrete MXM type b graphics card to the e - bay store, but I'm not sure if it fits into my PC regarding the specifications of dimensions and the heat/watts. It's the card nvidia geforce gtx 670 m type mxm3.0 b that has max 75 wats in comparison to nvidia geforce gt 630 m who has 37wats max. This card would be compatible with my system, and if so, my system would be able to handle more heat from him? If this isn't the case, could you recommend me other compatible cards for my above (HP Omni 27) system. I appreciate your help.

According to the specifications, the system has an MXM Type A slot and the card must be less than 35W (I suspect that even a 35W would work as less that is not very common).  It also lists the GT630M as an option on actions for the system.  Other maps of Type A that meet the requirements of power should work as well.

The Type of HP GT630 a card is listed here.  It seems to no longer be available at HP.  It seems that it is available on Amazon.  It is a direct seller's Amazon page.  Based on part number, it can be found on eBay as well.  One thing I noticed in my search for this particular card, is that nobody seems to have an image.  I recommend you contact the vendor to verify that this is a card of Type MXM need 35W of power.
