Outgoing emails blocked by MSN

When I try to send emails from my hotmail account, I receive an error message saying:
This account is currently blocked from sending messages. If you don't think that you have violated the Windows Live terms of use, please contact customer support.

Hi Novafan,

The best thing to do is to contact http://www.windowslivehelp.com. They directly supports hotmail and also will be able to determine the cause for the block and have the ability to unlock your account if necessary.

Hope this helps,

attachments to e-mail messages blocked by MSN

I addressed this issue in the Microsoft Account, Hotmail, Skydrive support forum.

The moderator of the Forum directed me to the Team Support of Windows 8.

If the team support of windows 8 is the proper place to address what my message is not transmitted

of the support team & I just sent a copy of the way my message has been redirected.

The problem - I'm sorry if I'm too verbose, but I am very frustrated.

I have a Vista HP Pavilion maybe 5 years and I have been using MSN or Hotmail for email.

I just bought a new HP Pavilion Windows 8

and in desktop mode, I try to use my MSN and Hotmail accounts

(as I am in my Vista system).  In my system Windows 8 accessories

are blocked - in my Vista system, that they are not blocked.  The message in the

tie line indicates: "This accessory has not been scanned for viruses.

"MSN blocked the following files - .docx.

Fixation with other file extensions are also blocked, for example .xlsx.

When I go back to my Vista system these same

attachments to be sent and received without problem.

Let me explain in more detail

    To add insult to injury

When I send a Word document as an attachment in my Vista system

' sent mail ' lands with a copy of the message with the attachment.

    He is not blocked...

When I go to the Windows 8 * system to look at this same "sent".

the attachment is blocked... Still right next to this system

the Vista system provides this Hotmail attachment without blocking him.

I use MacAfee and defender or Security essentials on both systems.

Why not attachments generated by me in my system and sent by me (MSN word documents)

which are copied or kept in the 'sent message' folder - in my computer

be then removed by MSN when they are displayed in the computer of Windows 8.

If there is no threat at all these messages - they have already been sent by my system

Why in the world would be dangerous in the system windows 8 and still

not to be a problem in the Vista system?  I'm talking about a 'Sent Mail folder '.

    Microsoft believes the connection

between an outgoing message sent by the user (me) has become "dangerous".

When he returned in the "sent messages" folder of the user (me)?

    I don't know much - but I don't know that the attachment / e-mail leaves my computer

"and moves through the MSN returning as a cloud ' sent the e-mail message" to the

folder in my system. No error or default values are identified.

A litlle - messages that are sitting in my "Inbox" successfully received months ago - more information are still there, with attachments when I

power up my Vista system (I normnally turn the power off when the use not my systems).

When I turn on my new Windows 8 * system, these same attachments are currently blocked (.docx

    is just an example).

I will be happy to provide you with more information - but you will have to guide me through

How to get the information you need because I'm not fluent that when I go beyond using the email...

Something similar happens with the print files - when I go Medco.com site and try to download (Adobe)

print file - in the sytem to Windows 8 - I get the following message.

"to help protect your security, your web browser blocked this site from downloading to your computer.

All this information is already displayed in my computer in a web message - I can copy this info.

Put it in a word file or an e-mail message - then print it.  The result is formatted differently, but it is

in my computer.  In other words the file may be displayed in my system - but it can be received as a

print file - I don't understand. not in my Vista system, this isn't a problem.

IF MSN CHOOSES TO BLOCK A MESSAGE - WHY NOT INCLUDE A POINTER IN THE "BLOCKED" NOTICE

FOR A SPECIFIC SET OF INSTRUCTIONS THAT WOULD ALLOW TO ME YOU THE USER TO TAKE THE RISK AND

MORE THAN DRIVE BLOCKING.  WORD DOCUMENTS OF MSN, GENERATED BY ME, IN MY SYSTEM, WOULD BE A GOOD START.

I'M NOT VERY AND I AM VERY FRUSTRATED WITH MY NEW SYSTEM OF WINDOWS 8.

The new computer is much faster, but it's discouraging when my old MSN/Hotmail/Internet Exployer

have no problem with these hiking spots - and my new Windows 8 system blocks.

For me, this is a step backwards - and push me to maybe try g-mail to see if it will better satisfy my needs...

    Edict 17/02/2013 by Dick Jasinski

in response to the suggestions offered by the response to the Forum 2/16

    I did steps 1 and 2

    Step 1 had no effect

Step 2 did surface any issues... Let me explain again

IN THE LINE of attachment of the e-mail message, the following message is there where the attachment would appear: "these attachments have not been scanned for viruses.  MSN blocked the following dangerous files: the file name then followed .xlsx or .docx (deleted)

    for example TMIY-Financial Analysis.xlsx (deleted).

For me the message above is an Enigma - he says the attachment has not been scanned - it says also MSN blocked the dangerous file. Then it indicates that the file has been deleted.

I have read the .pdf format. JPG, gif, .png, .email or .txt files

These words tell me that there is a seller MSN action action not a 3rd party.  This same

problem was found in the MSN software that followed the VISTA - just look at the history.  How

is it fixed?  has fixed it?.

If MSN does not scan and does not block these files, then please give me the steps necessary to

    overide these actions.

I have the same problem with my machine Windows 8 for the past two weeks.  Previously, it came thru smoothly on the machine Windows 8!

After that spend almost 2 hours last Friday 31 May 2013 with fingers pointing MSN to Windows 8 and another 30 to 45 minutes with tech Windows 8 (which identified the problem as a MSN problem) I was sent to MSN for another half hour to repeat the steps and efforts the first rep.  I then submitted to 'level 2' where I waited another 45 minutes before deciding that no one would never get!  I still haven't any resolution, but it seems logical that they suggested that reinstall us the program MSN because in my simple mind, it seems that the problem occurred firstly have a updated probably damaged files but no level one seems able to help with this reasoning.

PS. McAfee does not believe its their problem and solution 2 in the answer 2/16 MSN was not effective either.

  • How can I NOT have my outgoing emails piling up on gmail?

I use Thunderbird with gmail via POP3, IMAP. I just want to recover emails, download them to my PC and remove them from gmail. This part works fine. But with the TB and my previous Outlook 2000, my outgoing emails end up staying on the gmail server. I see no control in TB, or the gmail site say 'remove outgoing e-mail messages after sending' as is done at the front desk.
Is it just the nature of the e-mail systems?
Thus, every couple months I manually log on gmail and delete all the. I don't like my emails are available for a hacker.
Are there settings to achieve this?
    Thank you.

Is there is any option in Gmail settings, then I'm afraid that Gmail did this by default when using their SMTP server (i.e. Server SMTP of Gmail stores a copy of your mail in your sent folder of Gmail).
So there is probably nothing else, you can do other than to use another SMTP server, for example provided by your ISP.

  • Thunderbird is doubly my outgoing email (sent), why?

My sent folder shows double outgoing email in Thunderbird with every message I send, why? How to stop email duplicate?

What is a live/Hotmail/outlook account? If so, uncheck "place a copy in" under the tools/account settings /AccountName/Copies & records, because a copy is already placed in the folder "sent" on the server. This "sent" folder is visible in TB, if the account is IMAP.

  • Incoming e-mail is recovering very well. Outgoing email will not send.

    Original title: Outgoing e-mail server

Incoming e-mail is recovering very well.  Outgoing email will not send.  It seems that no one supports more Windows Live Mail.

Sending works well? Doesn't look like it to me. On the Advanced tab, change the port from 25 to 587 number and also check to use SSL. On the servers tab, you should probably check my server requires authentication and, optionally, using authentication in plaintext in the connection. You will hace to play with and test by sending a message to yourself.

  • Time indicated on incoming and outgoing emails not correct with real time sent or received

Time that appears on all my incoming emails indicating when they were sent and the time on my outgoing e-mail is incorrect and does not take account of real time.

    How can I fix it?

The time displayed is applied by the email server - be it MSN, Yahoo!, GMail, or somewhere else.  If it is showing the wrong time zone for you, then you should check the settings of your account on the server and if he knows what time zone you are in. - B-
