  I have problems with the creation of outgoing emails in outlook express that contain photo attachments. I type them in as attachments only when creating the email, but as soon as I hit SEND it adds to the body of the email and ends up holding still to send and receive the other end.

  If you attach a picture, then OE poster at the end of the message.  Its not put the image in the message twice.  Chances are the image is very large and you need to reduce its size.  You can do with programs like irfanview (www.irfanview.com).  Also use a jpg and bmp image as a bmp is 100 X greater in terms of file size.

  I enclose the jpg file in outlook express by clicking on 'attachment' and clicking on the attachment of my computer.  When I send to myself in Outlook Express, I can see the jpg and it shows in sent items.  When I go to the server of online email provider, I can send the jpg and the recipient can see them.  But when I send a jpg attached to email to third parties via Outlook Express, they can't see them.

  Tools | Options | Send | Mail sending Format. HTML settings. Make sure you only send pictures with messages is enabled. In this case and if you can send it to yourself and it appears in the sent items, then the problem is not on your side.

  Have you tried this with a few beneficiaries? Something must be stripping the attachment out of their mail. See the encoding of the message source? I suggest that you check that you analyze no e-mail, but other that that, nothing seems to be wrong with what you're doing.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   I use Outlook Express.  Spare crossed for everyone except a specific contact.   My colleague, however, can get the attachment if sent by email to us two.  What could be the problem?

  It's weird.  Especially if you still have other parts.  Make sure that under Tools | Options | Security (in OE) that you have not configured to block attachments and also make sure that you don't have some sort of interference antivirus or anti-spam (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) - which would block the attachment.

  Otherwise, click file | Identities and together a new identity and then add your email account it and then see if this identity, you get messages with attachments.  If it works fine, then go to file | Import | Messages and import them from the old identity.

  Whenever I get messages with windows mail or outlook express, all attachments of JPG will not come through.  I can change the security setting to allow dangerous files and they will come through.  I don't know what happened to two computers at the same time.  I had not changed all the parameter before it began.

  I think you have misunderstood Sylvain response earlier. I think Sylvain said that Toshiba provides no technical support for the AVG anti-virus product. I think AVG is working perfectly fine on Toshiba notebooks as well as many other antivirus programs.

  I'm sorry but I don't understand the comment on NOD32! I couldn't see any reference to this post by Sylvain at all.

  Some messages do not conform to the standards of the Internet in the sense that they cannot be returned intact by their transmission.  The way around this is to use Message | Until the attachment, then they will be properly transmitted, since they will be attached.

If so, disable the automatic selection in Internet Explorer and choose rather Western European (ISO).   Outlook Express does not care how big a message is. It is up to your ISP. One thing to check it would be however.

  Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced. Uncheck the box: "Break apart messages...". ».
