Troubleshooting Outlook Express error message - error number: 0x800C0133
I NEED HELP to SOLVE A PROBLEM WITH OUTLOOK EXPRESS - cannot GET RID OF THE ERROR MESSAGE AFTER TRYING all THE SOLUTIONS LIST AND EVEN EMPTY THE Inbox EMPTY. Help, please!
USING OUTLOOK EXPRESS 8.0 WITH WINDOWS XP, I CAN'T RECEIVE MAIL IN MY INBOX ALTHOUGH IT SHOWS A NUMBER OF MESSAGES RECEIVED. I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'Hotmail', server: 'pop3.live.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, error number: 0x800C0133Error number: 0x800C0133 = a corrupt Inbox.
Move any message you want to save to a local folder that you create. Then, remove the problem of Inbox as follows.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
With OE closed, find the box of Inbox.dbx and delete it. Another will be created automatically when you open OE.
General precautions for Outlook Express:
Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Outlook Express error: I can't open the emails.
Could not open OE messages. Problem started with the message you need to reinstall the address book. Closed which & found all attempts of message opens say there was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. Found OE on my computer, but when I try to delete Folders.dbx he says that this is not possible because it is in use, even though I closed OE. Now what?
original title: could not open OE messagesIf you are unable to send, then check your settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and make sure they are which specifies your e-mail provider. See your email provider's website and to have the right settings for the SMTP port, and also find out if the server requires authentication (Tools |) Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and advanced).
At the same time, if the older Id works fine, you can simply save things so you don't lose messages. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6 for how to save locally.

Operating system Windows XP, at startup, I get the message: "Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to initialize the store directory. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full"and displays the error code: 0 x 80007114. (I have a new drive hard with enough space) Outlook Express always open well and functioning normally. The message mentions and how to fix the problem? Thank you, Rick
Jump here (nothing Bruce suggested is false), I did a search and found this old article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245419), which indicates that there is a bad entry under the identity key in the registry (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background). So if it's a big problem, you can do the steps suggested in this article and that will fix it. Or if you have just one account, then backup your settings and the identity key and then delete the identity key and then start OE and it will establish a new, and you can then set up your account again, and then import the messages from the older directory. But it does not indicate the major corruption, so you can just ignore it.

Outlook Express - will not let me delete any message
Outlook Express will not let me delete all messages? How can I fix? Thank you!
You have corruption of dbx files.
Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.
Compact all folders as described below.
To avoid this in the future:
Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Problem with outlook express - 0x800C013B out of memory or the disk is full
I can't open outlook express. It says computer out of memory or diskful. Error 0x800C013B #. I'm good enough to solve the problems, but I don't understand computer language. I don't know where to find the windows Explorer or store files. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

Create a new Folders.dbx.
In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
The path to the message will be very similar to this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express
With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it. A new one will be created when you open OE.

Outlook express error "0x8007007E".
Original title: Outlook Express errors
Trying to open OE I get error 0x8007007E; The identity of the connection was not found. Some components are missing or misconfigured. MSOE, DLL could not be initialized. How can I fix.
Hi WilliamMGreen,
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- When was the last time you were able to open Outlook express on the computer?
- You have security software installed on the computer?
Method 1
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if you can open outlook express.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
Method 2
If the previous step fails, then I suggest you repair outlook express on the computer and check if it helps.

When I send an email on Outlook Express, he won't out of the box shipping, but continues to send once a minute until I remove in the Outbox.
You have apparent dbx file corruption.
Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them. New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.
