Overlapping tabs

While I am browsing I choose between a large number of tabs and I do that quite often. My problem is that even if I sometimes change tabs tabs overlap. That means that I chose a tab, but I still see the previous information. Also when I move my mouse around the tab buggy that disappears from the old information and it presents information on the tab, I chose. This works if my mouse passes over links or video.
You can see in the picture.

This gets really annoying because I have to change several times to solve this problem.

How can I fix?

Well, we could try two intermediate steps of the inside of your normal profile. Are the less drastic to reset preferences custom, and the other is to do both and rinse your extensions using the Firefox update function.

(1) to reset the customized preferences, you can rename the settings file that stores the majority of them. Here's how:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a window of Windows Explorer that lists the different files and folders.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename prefs.js to something like prefs.old

When you start Firefox upward again, as your homepage settings comes back to their default values. No improvement of the broken functionality?

(2) the Refresh function is documented in this article: Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons. Note that this creates a new folder on your desktop named old data from Firefox. If you use Refresh, I suggest to keep this record for a few weeks in case something critical is lost.

  • When a tab is opened, it does not overlap the screen im on.

So when I like to open another tab when I click a button, it does not overlap the screen, I'm on and if I click it, nothing happens, so I have to minimize and press tab to open it and when I click on the tab I am the last, it works fine but the other tab is not.

It seems that your browser runs slowly due to lack of memory (why a new loading tab so seems to freeze and can be thawed by minimize and maximize). This explains also why you can change to the previous tab, but not others; the last tab you used is still in main memory, while the other tabs should return loaded into main memory when you change their (as other data takes the place of the main memory).

So I suggest you try to restart Firefox (as some may have memory leaks) and closing other applications you have open (use the Task Manager to help if they are slow to respond). If you're still having problems, try closing using the tabs/windows less.

If you still have the problem, then you should try reinstalling Firefox (see uninstallation and installation).

  • Weird error driver causes tabs to overlapping & other UI issues

I've had interface problems with Firefox user for a long time now, but disable hardware acceleration generally remedied the situation. Now it's to the point where it does not, however, it is not as bad as it is when HA is enabled.

Basically what happens around 4 - 5 times during a browsing session (sometimes more often than that) does not load completely tab I clicked on Firefox. I'm going to click on this tab and it will superimpose elements from the new tab but it will not pass completely (see first image). Sometimes it will not even come to that. In the second picture you can see that the wrong tab is highlighted, but the former tab remains on the screen.

This could be because my laptop is quite old (4 years) and the drivers for this operating system are not fully supported. • Why are the texts and logos on the tabs do on new windows of firefox?

Opening a new window of firefox, the text on the tab (for example Mozilla Firefox Start Page) and the logo to the left of this one first becomes misaligned, almost as if the text has been "cut in half" vertically and not place back together with precision. The button fullscreen and him "open a new tab" button overlap too on the upper right side.

To access the full mode screen, cmd + ctrl + F must be pressed twice. Once to get back to 'normal' browser how the tabs should look like, with the text of the tab and the normal logo, and the second time it gets full screen.

    Hi ninjaondemand,

I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the guide to troubleshooting Extensions and themes and article troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems as well.

You can also try to create a new profile.

  • the hompage I use overlaps the toolbar at the top of the page in half about, how do I change (make lower) it

When I click to open firefox page (homepage) superimposed on the toolbar at the top of the screen. I've been using the yahoo toolbar that works perfectly, the only problem is this overlap of the site search box Web icons. He is strange as at that moment as I type this question is quite parallel, but when I click back it moves upward again, covering half of the toolbar again.

Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).

If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.

You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • The firefox button used to be on the left, with tabs lined up next to her to reach the top of the screen. The firefox button is now on its own, with tabs on the line below. It wastes a lot of space at the top of my screen, I can put it back how it was?

Previously, the firefox button was upstairs on the left and tabs lined up beside him, so that reached the top of the tabs just to the top of the screen. Close/minimize etc. were at the top right.

Two days ago it so that the firefox button is at the top left, close/minimize etc. are always in the top left, but now the tabs are on a line located underneath, leaving a space at the top where I can see through to the desktop. There is also a wider border than before, around the window of Firefox all, more space wasted.

I have windows 7 on top of my desk quick links bar, now that firefox has left a void that is located above the tabs, it means that it is easier to accidentally hovering over the bar when changing tabs, it's awkward because it brings forward and disrupts the ability to quickly change tabs.

You see the difference between a magnified window and a window "restored down." Click on the middle button in the upper right of the Firefox window, so that when you place the pointer over the button, it says 'Restore down' and a show of boxes double overlap.

  • Crashes of aircraft Safari 9.0.3 10.11.3 on new tab

Everything was OK (except my mid 2007 iMac lost his S/N after installation of 10.11, that is not the subject of this post!) with my Safari 9.0.3 on my OS 10.11.3 until tonight after installing latest Webstorm applications and Code in Visual Studio. After that I closed both and open Safari which was partially crushed and begin to crash completely after the attempt to add icon + new tab with. In addition, Safari displays name of the Web site at the address twice (see screen capture below) including the text of overlap when an address name is long.

I erased or deletees Safari cash in the library through the Finder, system restarted and Safari, but the problem persists. Safari does not all extensions. I think to uninstall applications Webstorm and Code in Visual Studio, but I really need them for coding.

    Please advice.

  • Objects overlapping front panel

I understand that of the controls on the Panel before which overlap (Boolean, numeric values, plots, etc.) will result in a significant update penalty.  What about using the tab structures or decorations of the palette of modern/classic (as raised block, recessed, framework, things like that)?  This will result in a penalty of time processor?

    Natan,

A stack of objects will cause a drop in performance.  Now, depending on your program, it may not be a big problem.  I did a bit of work with this several years ago, so I guess that not much (basics, at least) has changed.

LabVIEW basically pulls up and down, so everything you have stacked, the substantive element emerges, then the one above, etc..  Although I don't know about you, I hope that this happens in the control as well.  For example, a digital control has several layers to it.

When I did all my work, I saw a huge success on performace of stacking.  The test was 03:30 by th UI, I created.  If I display the user interface at all, I hit more than 45 seconds off the test.  Simnplifying the user interface, I believe that I have knocked off about 30 seconds.

What I found also, is that the quality of your graphics chip has important effects.  I was testing with the second model of the PXI controller (maybe 12 years ago), I was able to outperm the PXI controller with a low-end PC using MXI because he had a dedicated graphics card that manages the user interface updates much faster than the PXI controller.

  • Fixed distance between the front panel objects to avoid an overlap.

    Hi all

I have two paintings expansion according to the values. If the berries contain a lot of items, these two charts overlap, please see images below.

How can I keep the distance between the two tables, in order to avoid duplication? These paintings are in a tab.

    See you soon,.

    Palazzo

You can do it programmatically, but not in development mode. If the arrays are growing according to values, happening to programmitcally?

You can draw a control location and limits using a property node. There is a section of properties in the list that contains the Position, Bounds Rectangle Master, limits, etc. that you can tell all the info you need to compensate for the second table. You should be able to get the value of the lower part of the Bounds Rectangle Master, add an offset and define the Position of the second table.

    This gives a test:

  • Controls tabs flashing when Invisible

A little history: I have a tab control that contains several controls of void and this control tab is located at the top of a vision acquisition screen. While the program is running, the user can hit 'h' key to hide all the controls, so that the user can see the screen for the acquisition of any vision. I came across a bug which, in don't break my app, is really annoying. What happens is that when the user presses the 'h' key, all the controls disappear as expected (I do this by using the property node 'visible' to the tab control), but once per second the controls on the tab flash on the screen and then disappear again. Still, these are the controls inside the tab, tab no it's me. The tab it's self is invisible as expected. Has anyone else seen this before?

Just guessing here, but I've seen funny things with the tab controls, especially when working with the visibility property.  I suspect that 'under the hood' LabVIEW uses the visibility property to get the tabs to work.

In your example I (notied that you write the property each iteration.)  It's not too big, a method and can lead to some ineffecintcies.  Also, when the objects overlap on the FP an update to any object overlaping requires all objects to cool off, so you can lose a lot of time processor that could bog down your CPU. A possible workaround, you can try is to add a loop secod with an event inside structure to capture only changes to the visible Boolean value.  Another thing to try would be hitting the visible property of the objects in the tab directly.  This excerpt is a reasonable example.

  • See the establishment of a control on a tab

How can I have a visible control over a tab control?

I don't want to place the control inside the tab, so I create on the sign outside the tab.

I move with the arrows, but it always shows behind the tab (both in edit mode) and even though I select the control command from ZPlane > move forward.

As you can see in the attached file, the controls are displayed above the tabs, but behind the body of the tab.

    Hey Vix,

Wolfgang is correct. You can't have a control that is on the same panel as a tab control overlap the tab control. It may overlap with the area that corresponds to the line of tabs, but he can't overlay the main body of the tab control. As Wolfgang has pointed out, it is because a tab control is simply a set of panels of the child and the panels of the child cannot be superimposed by other controls in the parent panel.
