  I have Vista 64 bit on my computer, I have WMP 11.  When I put the CD in the player it loads correctly, gives me the titles and others and will start playing the first song.  To halfway through it stops and for the rest of the CD, he crosses and put an X next to them then this error message is displayed:

  I tried to turn on error correction, but it didn't work, it was not available in the reading section.  How can I get the cd to play?  I tried a lot of different cd and they all do the same thing.  I have the same problem in Itunes as well.

• Topics restores do not correctly in design mode

  When you use em sizes or in CSS, the titles are not correctly make in Design view (HR 2015).

  This allows to reproduce very easily: create a blank project, edit default.css and make the following settings:

  H1, h2, h3 {p}

  do-family: Arial;

  do-size: 100%;

  }

  Now the headings 1, 2, 3, and paragraphs should all displayed in the browser's default font size (usually 16px).

  In the overview of the topic (and in all modern browsers), this is exactly the case:

  

  However, looking at the same subject in Design view, all titles are displayed in different sizes, and each of them are too big:

  

  It seems that design mode is ignores education % of the size of the police and set uses inherited sizes instead.

  With 1em instead of 100%, the behavior is exactly the same.

  Therefore, I'm unable to use % or em sizes in my HR project because headers are displayed in sizes ridiculously blasts upward. (In the example above, they are not, but normally you would use something like 180%, 150%, 120% for securities).

  It is very unpleasant, as using % or em is state-of-the-art for the delicate design. Can you please fix this or provide a work around? Using px sizes is not a workaround solution ;-)

  This a very annoying bug that's been around for years. Please log a bug with Adobe report: https://bugbase.adobe.com/

  As a solution, I use 2 CSS files. A point that I use to work in RoboHelp. And the other I have manually add to my output to crush the fixed size of CSS. No easy solution, I'm afraid.

  It seems to be a bug and the limitation of the variables in topic titles. Inserting into the table of contents works very well. The title of the topic in the table of contents is displayed correctly. However, if you do a search, all the subjects that contain a variable in the title appear incorrectly in the results - all text up to and including the variable are cut.
  
  You can not (as far as I can see) insert variable for topic titles using the RoboHelp interface. It is - unlike in the table of contents - you can not select Properties for a subject and insert a variable in the title of the topic (in the table of contents, it means the Page title). The way I put variables in my project (was an I upgraded x 5 to RH7) went through a search and replace operation for all the *.htm files. This included replacing the head HTML < title > < / title > entry. For example:
  
  Before: < title > what is a profile of Bill? < /title >
  After: < title > what is < uservariable name = value x Document_type1 x-showvalue = "invoice" > invoice < / uservariable > profile? < /title >
  
  When I search on this topic, the results of research is just profile? This problem applies to all topic titles that contain variables.
  
  It seems that the variables in the headings are not supported by RoboHelp, which is a major limitation of this feature. My project contains many variables in topic titles, which makes useless subject research, as the list of search results is composed mainly of incomprehensible securities and cut.

  Yes, it is indeed a limitation of RoboHelp and the way it uses HTML:

  Could someone tell me - in technical terms - that the option "use error correction" in Windows Media Player makes when copying audio CD tracks?

  I would like to make possible more precise PMR using WMP, but the lack of information about the method used by WMP special error correction makes it difficult know when or even if you need to select the option.

  For example, I wonder if the use of error correction could result in a less accurate RIP (for example, if the method used favors estimate on rereads multiples of a CD damaged surface.) Also, for example, assuming that the error correction is always beneficial, I wonder if it is always worth the burden of extra time (for example, tearing a new CD with no surface damage.)

  I am aware that the audio CD support a system of "forward error correction", that is to correct errors code being inserted in the music of the data from the drive. What is the allusion makes WMP error correction? (If Yes, then why don't I have hear occasional noise and click in the .wma file generated when "use error correction" is unchecked?)

  I noticed that an option in the Properties window of my Player DVD RW - under "Rip", when "Digital" is selected, there is the possibility to check a box "use error correction.   Activate the drive error correction means Windows Media can read CDs that contain errors if the option enable error correction is turned on. Error correction looking for points on the CD where it is unable to read and will attempt to read them again. It will not lead to inaccurate burns. This means that for the best PMR, it "use error correction" option must be selected.

  It depends on what software you use, and I'm afraid that you neglected to mention that.

  If you are using Word 2007, it marks the words as cannot not and was not.  I just checked.  When it report a spelling error, it gives you a chance to add to the dictionary, which will prevent it in the future.

  Use tools > reports > the menu heading Properies. If you use the Options button to deselect all options, you'll end up with exactly what you want. You can even export to TXT or RTF file.

• Adding keywords to a subject causes the search return the names of file instead of topic titles

  When I search for a term in my WebHelp Pro project, matching topics are displayed by filename if the subject has anything in its properties > General > keywords field, and are presented by topic title if there is no defined keywords for the subject.

  I confirmed this behavior by adding and deleting keywords from subjects and looking alternately to be shown in the search by file name or title of the topic.

  Obviously, I want stories to be displayed by topic titles in search results no matter whether they have keywords assigned or not.

  Any idea of what this could be the cause? Is this a known bug?

  Here is some additional information. This problem occurs, these four conditions must be met:

  1. The subject must have manually added keywords in properties > general > keywords field.
  2. The title of the topic and the name of the file must be different.
  3. We have to search among keywords added in step 1.
  4. Occurs in WebHelp Pro when published to a remote server.

  Interviews with Adobe today are not conclusive, but it seems that it was an unknown bug. Maybe I'll get a free t-shirt or something.

  Uncheck the option "re-indexing of documents to the server.

  Republish and check. If the problem exists, try to restart the Apache/Tomcat server.

• Underscores in topic titles

  Here's some news that I just noticed:
  
  No matter what option I select in the model of topic name drop-down list on the tab settings of the dialog box settings of FrameMaker Document Style, all subjects created from my source FrameMaker have spaces in topic titles replaced by underscores. For example, a heading 1 in FrameMaker, "Sample category" becomes "Sample_Topic" in HR. This is a problem when I build my OCD; I don't want the underscores in the headings that appear in the table of the contents of WebHelp. There are far too many subjects to manually change the headings one at a time, so my question is this: how to make HR DO NOT replace the spaces in the headings (derivatives of the headings in FrameMaker) when you add the book FM to my HR project?

  Well I found the setting in the Options.

  My recommendation: TURN THIS OFF BY DEFAULT! It should not be enabled by default.

• BlackBerry 10 BlackBerry 10 (European) Portuguese spelling error

  I use a BlackBerry Q10 updated to the latest version of the software at the time of writing this post (10.2.0.424). I put the system in European Portuguese language and found a misspelling. Here are the steps to see this error by yourself:

  1) go to Config.

  2) press «Idioma e Entrada»

  3) press "entrada Idiomas".

  (4) tap on the globe icon to select the input languages.

  (5) "português (Europe)" appears in the list. 'Europe' should be 'European '. Also, I think it would be cleaner to put a space between "Português" and the "(".) "

  I hope that this can be corrected in the next update

  With a superior image format for your card, it is quite possible that your proportions of the image almost matches the shape of your card - and which would require the label out of sight. Since your phone and Tablet have different global proportions, that is why the label on your iPad, but not your iPhone. Your design aspect ratio and image map corresponds better to the phone, so there's less room for the label to appear.

  So to change the proportions of the image, increase the height of the map, change the proportions of page layout grid or use a different card format. The first three options are how/where twist you (stretches) forms.
