• Problem installing Adobe Flash Player for Mac Air (Yosemite)

  I got a message saying that my Adobe Flash Player is out of date. This seemed strange because I had been to access the videos of the previous hour without any problems.   I read that a codec for Windows Media Player was on the list of requests for features in 2012.

  It's two years later. Can we get a firm 'no' or the ETA?  Our communications department created on Mac but often distributes to the PC (some quite old). WMV codec is needed to send video files that are not hosted online while our intranet to be played on these older machines.

  As much as we pay for CC, this should NOT be something to outsource to third party conversion software!

• Mercury pass does not not with Quadro K5000 for Mac

  I have two screens connected to a Quadro K5000 for Mac: a 30 "ACD" 24 HP LP2480zx.  I put the HP ("Adobe 2:1920 x 1200 Monitor" in the video preview preferences) as the video device.

  This behavior is illustrated in Ae CC 2014 and 2015 CC, and if I boot on the OSX Nvidia Driver or NVIDIA Web driver in system preferences > NVIDIA Driver Manager.

  
  

  
  

  Sidebar: If I select my Kona Iraq as video device and change the input on my HP accordingly, it works very well, as expected.  It's very well and a backup option, but I prefer to use the Displayport and Quadro, entry because it has offset zero, while the offset for the Kona is random and only predictable in its unpredictability.  And if I want to switch between Ae and Pr, I have to change the input on the HP with each switch, and it sucks.

  I have this same problem with the 8-core MacPro. I found myself fixing in en allant going to system preferences, the Mission control and turning off displays have a separate space

  It's not ideal at all, but editing and compositing, it is what needs to be done.

  Funny, depending on where the Menu bar has been in Preferences system, displays, layout, - opposite monitor contains the preview of the video. It was a fairly easy solution, but, it would happen only if I had After Effects in this space 'Space' or 'monitor '.  At the time wherever I moved AE in otherwise watch the preview video would disappear.

  Please let us know if the popularity of the OS fixes the problem for you.

• Cannot sync with Sony Bridge for Mac iPhoto albums

  When I connect the Sony Xperia Z3 compact Mac, Sony for Mac. bridge arises. I select the option explore iPhoto.   Huh, so it actually works, it's just very slow. After leaving the bridge app open for awhile finally albums appeared. Review of photo albums about 3000 is terribly slow, but works. Unfortunately several separate albums are copied directly to the folder images not organized in subdirectories, then this function is not very helpful at all.

• Context menu with video player problem

  I don't think I'm doing something stupid... It seems that having a MediaContainer onstage prevents somehow the ContextMenu send a click event, someone else knows it? I created a very simple example below to illustrate the problem. If you click anywhere on the stage, you will get the ContextMenu correct (with the custom "click me"), but only if you click outside the MediaContainer will be distributed ContextMenuEvent. If anyone has any ideas of what I could do wrong, or could confirm that maybe it's a bug, I'd be very happy.

  You stumbled upon a known issue of Flash Player and its impact on the event of shipping on the video object context menu.

  There are two possible solutions:

  1 Add a transparent sprite on top of the video and add event listeners.

  2 use something like a sprite "control bar" as a target for event listener context menu.

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  I am very, very disappointed with my recent purchase of the HP Deskjet 8600 pro.

  I suggest that you remove the HP software by following this document the printer software uninstall . Once it's done I will have you reset your printing system (do not re - immediately add the printer), and then run a check/repair your disk permissions.   I did a "clean uninstall" and tried again with the same results. What can be the problem?

  Finally, I have re-installed Flash Player. Now it works fine. I believe that the most likely explanation is that, in the meantime a few days, Adobe provided a version compatible with Yosemite. Hope so.
