reduce bus MXI-4 speed

Hello

I use a chassis PXI 1044 and standard windows pc with a MXI-4 link and I was wondering if it is possible to reduce the score between the two buses.

Thank you very much

Darren

Hi Darren,

I was looking at your problem and I'm not sure what we can do. 10 m is the maximum cable length for a MXI - 4 copper connection, and I think that if you used a longer cable, the link probably wouldn't work at all.  I have attached a link here to the technical details of the specifications of MXI - 4. If you look at Appendix B, which gives a more detailed explanation of the limitations of the MXI-4 wiring.

Regarding the strengthening of the signal, a standard Ethernet booster does not work as it will not interfere with the composition of packets sent.

I agree it is not very nice results and I'm sorry I can't help you. I have summarized how I feel options available to try to improve this problem

1 change the link of copper MXI-4 for a fiber optic MXI-4 link

2 buy another copper MXI-4 link, a second chassis PXI and use the second chassis as a relay for the packets to the PC.

3. try to remove some of the noise, casting the cable into something or he rerouting.

I would certainly be watching them try to divert cable MXI - 4 and watch also try some extra shielding to reduce some of the problems EMI but I think that the best option would be the optical fiber kit.

If you look at option 2, I highly recommend watching the NI PXI-1033 linked here, because is a chassis extension and the MXI link which allows you to extend your installation. If you are in any doubt, I contact National Instruments and talk to an inside sales engineer who will be better able to advise you on your question.

I hope this helps.

Thank you very much

  • Server PowerEdge R720: How can I find the memory bus speed DIMM installed, please?

In the web interface of IDRAC7, I take the path of the menu equipment-> memory and see a representation of the memory installed on the server and all DIMMs (a mixture of 8 GB and 16 GB) are presented as having a speed of 1600 MHz. I * think * that some DIMMs are, indeed, more speed ones (1866 MHz), but they are reduced to the lowest speed.

Nobody knows, if you please, a way to get a more detailed display of the plug exact DIMM (apart from lifting the lid, that is!)?

    Kind regards

    Richard.

    Hello

If you go to the server in the left pane, click Properties > hardware inventory, you can expand the module information memory by clicking on the button "+". It should contain a lot of information on the module. It must list the operating current at the top speed and capable module speed down. You can also get the reference number of the module of this screen to view the file online.

Are there other settings to optimize the upgrade of point of view?

The process upgrade done Post INVALIDS and for an hour, is validate near 10000 objects. Y at - it another way to reduce downtime. ? 36 hours is the maximum time that I have.

    Thank you

    Knockaert

So prod can I increase the parallelism greater than 4 to 12 right? Or is there a recommended way?

Yes, it should be faster on production with this number of processors. I don't think that you need to change the number 4 to 12 as DBUA is smart enough to detect the number of processors and parallelism will be set to default 12.

You don't want to risk going with the largest number since it is the production, if you had a similar hardware, where you can try this on a cloned instance then fine but otherwise I would personally stick with the maximum suggested by DBUA.

    Thank you

  • Satellite C645: There's changes in the strategy of cooling in BIOS v1.90?

    Hello

is - that someone flashed BIOS from v1.60 to v1.90 recently posted.
If so, have you noticed changes in the behavior of the cycles CPU fan?
I mean, not the annoying problem of the processor fan runs from 0% to 100%, as RPM every 30 seconds (aprox.) have changed or remains the same?

My laptop model is C645-sp4131L (14 "- P6200 2.13 GHz, Intel onboard video, 2 GB of RAM").

Thanks in advance for your answers and excuse my poor English.

I m not 100% sure, but I suppose you phone US model, right?

Start the same thread on the Toshiba U.S. forum - http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Laptops/ct-p/c_laptops/tshb
Perhaps someone there are the same model and tested it with the new update of the BIOS.

BTW: to reduce the cooling fan speed change please cooling method parameters. You can find it in the advanced power options > Toshiba power Saver saver > cooling method.

  • Upgrading CPU for Satellite L500-128

I have a 4-5 year old Toshiba L500-128 and I would like to upgrade the processor. ATM I have a Core 2 Duo T6500. I know that I can put a T9500 inside, but if possible I would ask a better. So I have a few questions:

    (1) can I put a CPU with front side bus 1066 MHZ speed and it'll work? T6500 has 800 FSB.
    (2) can I put a CPU with 44 or 45W TDP? T6500 has 35W.
    (3) if the answer is Yes to the two questions above, I put a CPU with 1066 FSB and 45W?

Is possible, I would put something like T9900 or even a Quad Core.

    Thanks in advance :)

    > 1) that I can put a CPU with front side bus 1066 MHZ speed and it'll work? T6500 has 800 FSB.

In my opinion, you should check the compatibility of the chipset and CPU support.
As far as I know the motherboard the computer s portable supports the Chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express

On the Intel Ark page, I could find the Intel Mobile GM45 chipset specifications and compatible products:
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/35134/Intel-82GM45-graphics-and-memory-controller-hub

However, the fact is that new CPU must be supported by the chipset and BIOS.
If one of the parties (chipset or BIOS) is not compatible with the new processor, the laptop does not start at the top.

In addition, you should also know that the manufacturers of portable don t support upgrading processors.
    Does that mean exactly?

This means that even if the chipset would support the new processor, BIOS could be the troublemaker and couldn't stand the improved CPU. From my experience, there is no information on BIOS support. Therefore, the CPU upgrade is always a risky procedure. Maybe it will work, maybe not

  • Games on the Macbook Air

I am playing games on MacBook Air version 10.11.3. It is a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5. It has 8 GB on it only because I am partitioning with 8 Windows via Bootcamp. My hard drive Macintosh was 14.41 GB free.

I am playing Need For Speed (rival or most wanted) on my partition Windows 8. It seems to lag a bit. I don't know why that is trolling, or how to fix it. I did some research on Google and could not find something that I can fix it. The game takes place, she just a delay of 3 seconds. My brother has tried to reduce the resolution, running speed, etc, but it crashes every time that the settings are changed.

All the solutions I would love.

    Thank you

Visit the website of the developer of your video card.

I have Windows 7 on my MacBook pro and could play Star Wars: The Old Republic without problem on 'High', but I had to download the drivers from NVIDIA to make things work properly. One good thing about Windows on a Mac, it's that you can control the settings of the video card. If I'd get the drivers and then lower the settings in the game itself to a lower standard. So instead of running at Ultra (which I highly doubt that you can run without having to build a computer from scratch), try to run in the middle. According to the developer of your video card, you can, or perhaps not to install a video card Control Panel. With NVIDIA, it was automatically installed in my Windows 7 Control Panel.

Based on the processor and RAM you have, there is delay unless it is related to the power of your card more stretched video.

  • Satellite Pro A300 - for Windows 7 power management strategy

    Hi all

I have the following on my Satellite Pro A300 problem:

My laptop fan works continuously, which means almost always turn. I cleaned the entire cooling with compressed air, so it is not clean, no problem with that. The reason is that in browsers when Adobe Flash Player runs, it loads the CPU and the GPU, so that the fan trying to cool the system.

Now I ask you, is there any solution to fix this? I mean even to reduce the GPU clock speed when I do not use the graphics intensive applications.

I use Google Chrome as default browser and the Windows 7 OS 32 bit.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

If an application load the CPU and the GPU it s normal behavior that the fan rotates and probably on top level so it s high usage. So don t you worry because everything is normal. The fan protects the equipment from overheating.

What you can do is updated Google Chrome and Flash Player. Also try to use the most recent version, they also contain security updates.

Last but not least, you can change the cooling method in the power management Windows (change the power plan settings). If you have installed Toshiba Value added Package, you can choose between optimized battery and a maximum Performance. Select optimized battery and fan activity will be less.

  • My imac end 2012 work El Capitan?

    I have a late 2012 27 "imac 3.4 GHx Intel core i7, with 32 GB of ram

    I'm running on OS 10.8.5

I need to update my os

I think that the only option available is El Capitan

El Cap will run smoothly on my machine?

I hear stories to reduce the performance and speed on this vintage machines

    See you soon

    Hello

It will work absolutely fine under el Capitan, your iMac is surely not machine vintage... Capitan works even faster than the Yosemite (10.10).

There are ways to upgrade to the Mavericks (10.9) instead, but you will need a friend who has a Mac that has installed the Mavericks and you give the Mavericks installation file.

  • SAMSUNG SSD very slow external T1 to El captain

Since then, I've updated my iMac k 5-El Captain my external Samsung Q1 SSD starts very slowly and access is also very slow. This also reduced the mail sending speed with attachment of this SSD at very slow speed.

    Before the high-speed T1.

If you have installed their so-called "activation software", which is probably the culprit

the origin of the problems.  The best thing to do, is to move all your data on this disk

Besides, the software 'activation' and use OS X disk utility

to repartition and reformat the drive correctly for use on Mac.

  • Thunderbolt external HDD

Working with AVCHD Multicam with FCPX on an iMac and MacPro I will have a few slowdowns beachball using an external WD Dual Drive Thunderbolt RAID 0 and after several tests and interviews with tech to Apple and B & H have determined that the increase in the number of disks in the external drive or SSD will solve the problem.

My current config gives me end 248 MB/s read/write speed and the internal SSD OS X drive provides 750 to 937 MB/s as a single drive.  Of course, I'd love to have a lightning strike unique external delivery accelerates as the SSD internal, but from what I read there is nothing available like that.  So, I am reaching the community to help them tell me what they use and how to reduce costs while increasing speed (is not supposed to be an oxymoron) :-)

I'm ok with the multiple disc cases, prefer mini (2.5 ") if possible at a reasonable cost, if not 3.5" 7200 rpm disks and I am totally OK with building my own through the purchase of an external to and seagate drive HARD $50 a piece.

    500 - 6f00 desirable MB/s in a mini SSD configuration or a mini disk first or rotating 3.5 "

Most desirable would be 750 MB/s or more.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR HELP :-)

Just out of curiosity, you work with native AVCHD or in proxy mode? Working in the proxy, I can have multiple streams of video without any serious problem on my MBP of 3 year and a double RAID drive.

  • HP 6500 is printing very slowly under OS x 10.9

Hey, my 6500 has prints incredibly slow and it recently started really only questions. I suspect it was the update to 10.9, but am not sure. I can't find anywhere on the hp software to reduce the quality or speed of prints any longer. It's quite frustrating because it takes about 2 minutes to print a page now since the Mac and about 5 seconds of my PC.

    Anyone have any ideas?

You always have HP software from a previous version of Mac OS X in your Applications folder?  If so, we need to remove it.

In the meantime, download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • Uprgading a laptop older

Hello, I'm Chris. I have a HP dv6 3259wm. Its a portable older and I wanted to update the processor from the AMD Phenom II Triple P860 2.00 GHz processor to something with more power. I installed the maximum amount of ram but wanted to get more out of it. I went through the list of compatible processors by manufacturing publications but don't know if I need to change anything else, during the passage of the processors. Any suggestions?

    Here is the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02659236.PDF

See Page 25. All AMD processors work on all the mothers AMD variety.

The CPU you want is this:

AMD Phenom II N970 Quad 2.20 GHz processor (2, 0 MB L2 cache, 1333 MHz FSB, 35W, 3.6 gigatransfers per second)

The processor is $ 50 on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/AMD-Phenom-II-quad-core-2-2-GHz-2-MB-quad-core-mobile-N970-HMN970DCR42GM-S1g4-/321472803911?PT=CPUs&hash=item4ad945b447

This is a drop in replacement. Just to be on the safe side, I would upgrade to the latest version of the BIOS before proceeding with the Exchange, but even that shouldn't be necessary. Clean around the fan/radiator and fan outlets and apply the paste heat high quality barely just coating the silvery central part of the transformer. that is the core. Polishing the bottom surface of the radiator and clean the fan blades with alcohol and dry thoroughly.

Don't expect huge gains. The increase of 3 to 4 hearts will not even usable in many programs and 2.0 to 2.2 ghz isn't a big bump. The basic architecture of the bus and memory speed will not change. Certainly not, I spend more than $50 on this. More than upgrades to older hardware attempts are ultimately a disappointment.

  • LabVIEW Vision will not create large AVI file

    Good afternoon

I'm having a problem with my camera data storage in an AVI file for further processing.

    Installation of equipment:

Camera of the Grey Gazelle edge

    2 cables of camera Link

    Card PCIe-1433

    Software:

    LabVIEW 2013

    Module vision 2013

    Computer:

    Dell Inspiron

    Windows 7 Professional

    NTFS drive - 1 TB

    16 GB OF RAM

X 4 PCIe bus does support speed

Now the camera captures approximately 280 fps.

I have a LabVIEW application that captures the image and writes it to an AVI file.

I use 1 buffer IMAQ and the loop runs so fast that he has an image to store.

I found the best performance using the codec uncompressed Y800 gray.

First series of tests, with only 8 GB of RAM.

When I run 10 seconds, everything is good.  I get about 2800 stored images.

When I tried to run for 20 seconds, it would go well for about 12 or 13 seconds and then go very slowly (50 images per second).

I assumed it was eating to the top of the available RAM.

So, I replaced the 8 GB of RAM with 16 GB.

Everything seemed to work as before.

I ran the routine of capture of data for 10 seconds, he collected all the images, everything is good.

I then tried to run entering data for 20 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image is displayed on the screen, the gauge of speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images, about 13.7 seconds.

I ran once again, the capture of data for 30 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image was correctly displayed on the screen, gauge speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images.

When I checked the hard drive directory, these two test files are the same size.

    2 065 819 KO.

With the NTFS file system, there should not be a limit to the size.

And the LabVIEW does not plant when she was doing writing to AVI function.

Y at - it a maximum size for the AVI file, I run in to?

    Or something else?

    Thank you
    Jeff
