P10 shutting down without blue screen all in research of virus or cleaning
My P10 stops when I scan for the cleaning of the system or viruses. Since I bought the laptop it works absolutely perfect. But 2 days ago, I recognized this work normal such as word, excel, surfing the net and so on, nothing happens, everything works but if I start scan, XP stops. Simply, it turns off as if you unplug circuit! Can someone help me, bad drivers?, false material? I Don t know how to solve the problem! What information do you need?
Hi Kay,
This looks like a classic case of overheating. Especially if you notice some increased activity fan just before the laptop closed.
Try to clean dust and debris from the heatsink to the CPU. You will find a lot of posts in this forum describing the means to do so. My favorite personla is to use a hose of vacuum cleaner against the aspiration air grills.
It should also, ensuring that the suction air grilles are not blocked and that sufficient air can get into the laptop to cool properly. Are not your laptop on a soft surface or the carpet as this will allow more dust being sucked.

MS has had a few KB patches for problems of closure. Installed, but no difference. Nothing wrong with my 4 GB RAM DDR800 Corsair, bonus either. Satellite M70-193 is shut down without reason
Hello
I bought M70 - 193 in September 2006. There is no problem up to now. Since last week I have this weird problem, my laptop is shut down without any reason.
At first, he was shut down when I played in the game. But today, it shuts down every time. I tried to do something, and everything I've done is that there is a connect Toshiba power saver: an error code 0 x 0.
Someone help me, please
Hello
In my opinion your laptop must certainly have reason to turn off. According to the description of your problem my first property thereon is overheating. No one can say with certainty what is happening with your laptop here in the forum, but if you use your laptop in an intensive way, it is possible that the fan in the lower draw more than dust and now the dust blocks, cooling system. If you use your laptop on your lap cooling fan is blocked and material cannot be cooled properly.
Usually when the material temperature is too high, laptop turns off simply without any warning. Initially, try putting the laptop to the upper post (four books) to be sure that your laptop can take a deep breath and just see if laptop will run a bit more as before.
Anyway, it is not a solution and I think you should clean up your beautiful Satellite M70. Standby power is another issue and we can discuss it later. ;)

Laptop shuts down without warning
Hello
I have a laptop - HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b000ej with Windows 8.
Recently, she stops without warning, but only when working on the battery. Although I guess the battery is old and I need to get a new - I don't understand, is why the laptop stops instead of going to hibernation. I checked the power settings. It is supposed to never closed, but go into hibernation, but it never does.
So is it the battery or something else?
Thank you.

Impossible to install the graphics driver for Probook s 4530 without blue screen or the repair mode
Recently due to the failure of the hard drive, I replace my drive with an SSD Intel 520 180 GB. I tried to install from a DVD MSDN windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. Everything was going fine until I had to install the drivers. All of them have been installed OK, but not for the graphics. A useful user Paul_Tikkanen guided my via different drivers and tricks, but with the same sad result. Not his fault, of course. On recommendationen of Paul, I ordered support restore disks for HP businesses. I got them today and of course happy as a kid receives his candy Saturday I put disks in the dvd player for the installation. Same thing happened again. Graphics driver has not worked here either. He me gives either a blue screen on reboot or I am se repair to restart mode.
I tried to find auto driver from Intel, but IE crashes when you try. I also tried the generic Intel driver. If someone has an idea or can extract drivers work this would be much appreciated. The generic Microsoft driver works well but I get a maximum of 1024 * 768 resolution.
I also read that you need to install the chipset driver and intel
You can see my entries a little frustrated in the following thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video-e-g-Windows-8/4530S-graphics-driver-and-fing...
The thread above also contain useful material IDS etc.
I have also contacted the provider here in Sweden, to check if the warranty has expired yet. The laptop is 1.5 years old.
This problem has been resolved by manually installing the HP Intel HD graphics driver.

Qosmio G50 - Windows does not shut down without memory stick inserted
I have a Qosmio G50 running Windows 7. The pc does not stop unless I have my USB stick inserted. Without the USB, I can tell the pc to stop. Without the inserted stick, the pc will say that it stops and remains on the screen closed for 10-15 minutes and then restart.
However, as soon as I put the USB into the USB port, the pc will stop within 2 seconds.
It is not easy to understand the situation and explain why this happens.
Qosmio G50 is not latest model cell phone, so I can't imagine that this strange question comes on the first day.Something like this can be done with the factory settings. The configuration, preinstalled software, background running applications and processes on your Qosmio OS are not known to us is not easy to help you with this.
Somehow, I think that something running in the background blocks of the system. Unfortunately, I can't say what that would be.Check a bit.
By the way: have you noticed the behavior even if you try to use standby or hibernation mode? -
Satellite 1800 shuts down without warning
Hello
I have a toshiba satellite 1800, which I use for 6 months and it started to turn at random. I can't seem to find the problem I tried the new ram, but it turns out always. I even tried to reinstall windows XP home, but when I do, it happens to the part of the installation when it just loaded the drivers and at the beginning, before choosing options it turns off. The last thing on the screen when you try is when it says loading windows. He should ask me if I want to install windows or repair an existing installation, but just, it turns off. There only SP1 installed when I try to install SP2 goes out at halfway.
This is starting to get boring. Sometimes very randomly. I can surf the web and watch video clips and listen to music for several days before that happens again and it will be then 6-7 boots before I can enter windows turns off everything as she gets into windows. Sometimes turns off before the desktop appears and a few times when all the icons. It is very random.
Any ideas?
Kind regards
Paul
Hello
In my opinion if the warranty is valid you shouldn't do all experiences and should ask the service partner Toshiba guy in control of the aircraft. You should know that if you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty!

Satellite P10 shuts down unexpectedly after only 4/5 minutes to be turned on
Hey, I have a problem with my Satellite P10 2.5 years.
The problem is it turns off unexpectedly after 4/5 minutes being powered on.After he fires it on again for about 7 to 10 HOURS, even with the power drive inside displays the 4 lights on the front, but it will not even power the start-up routine.
I tried different combinations of power/battery and I still get the same problem.
I'm sure that it is overheating and then take hours to enhance down.Your opinion on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
Ben
Hi Ben,
Certainly, it sounds like an overheating issue from your description, although I expect to recover much faster than 7 to 10 hours. You can try the technique of aspiration of dust on the grids of aspiration air to see if it improves the situation. Also check that the fans are working properly and that there is sufficient space around the appliance when it is in use.
Kind regards

HP Pavilion Notebook PC shuts down without warning
Hello
I've had my HP Pavilion g6-2230sa Notebook PC for over a year now, and just recently, it began to die without any warning when it gets to 30-40% battery. Before today, he used to tell me when he reached 11%, so I had time to save everything, but this has prevented. I tested the battery for calibration and it went, I have also completed all the updates it says he needs, I don't know what next, as I keep losing my job with his off switch. Any help would be great!
Hi suse-mem:
I suspect your battery can accept a charge, but does not take to this accusation under the load on the computer. If you have followed the other suggestions... and are convinced that the fan and heatsink are completely free of dust... then it would probably be a good idea to replace the battery as the next step in troubleshooting.

Tecra A9 shuts down without booting the system again
Hello, my tecra A9 suddenly while he was in office, it was closed, and he blinked as if it were on standby.
But does not illuminate. After I unplugged the charger and I removed the battery.
When I put the battery, clear more orange blink, but if I press the button, turn on it does not show signs of life.
I tried to recharge the battery and crossfire is yellowed but does not illuminate. What do I do?
Help me pleaseThank you
Try to start your laptop with AC power only (without battery). If the situation is the same, I'm afraid that there is a serious hardware problem (maybe electronic power).
Maybe you should contact the service provider allowed in your country and ask for help.

Hi, I'll have trouble determining how much & how fast the RAM is that I can install in a "new to me" old computer that I just inherited. The manual is not very clear, it seems to say 3 GB or 4 GB, but I don't know that (Page 1-3 of the user's guide h
