P6 - 2220t

Hello

It's the 3rd HP forum, that I was directed to then I hope it's good.

I have a HP Pavilion P6 - 2220t under Windows 7 Home Premium. I want to set up a RAID 1 on 2 discs 1 TB I, leaving the operating system on the drive provided factory. Thus, the operating system on a disk existing without modification 2 new 1 TB drives in a RAID 1 configuration: using a SIIG RAID card. I bought a SIIG DP SATA II PCIe RAID card and installed in the PC, but it is not recognized, i.e. it does not appear in Device Manager.  I tried all 3 PCIe slots in the PC with the same result, the RAID card never appears

I placed the card in a second computer (mini lathe) and it detects and installs the device drivers, but I cannot get the 2 drives in the mini tower.

Any ideas why the flag can not see the map?

Thank you

dt03457

T 2.0.

I have advanced and tried to put SATA in IDE mode emulation and Windows wouldn't start.  Once the emulation mode has been set back on AHCI, the PC boots.  So, no harm, no fault.

BTW, there is no RAID setting in my SATA emulation, I guess that I would have needed a RAID card shipped for this option to display.

I have a box to open with SIIG so I will go back to work on it to see if they may have or will develop a sort of driver update that may resolve this problem.

I guess that I'll probably end up moving mothers so I can get the motherboard that recognizes the card in a chassis that will support the number of readers, I need.

Thanks for your advice, it helped to refine the list of questions and know that I was not far away in the right field.

I know it's just a warning and it doesn't seem to affect the performance of my computer that I can say, but I would like to know why it's happening.

Well, I found the task that updates HPSA in Task Scheduler.  I disabled it by using the Properties window.  On the chance someone may be interested, I'll post how it turns out.

I hope that I can now keep the HPSA listed for my computer with no additional alert to update again HPSA that generates several warnings and is not compatible with my desktop computer Pavilion p6 - 2220t and/or Windows 7 sp1 64-bit operating system.

This disabled the HPSA update only not any other.  It seems to be a standalone update for HPSA.

    • Standards for the transmission: 1000-Base-T Ethernet

In my opinion, than a bolt of lightning just zapped my hard wired network adapter.  Everything else is fine, including the wireless network adapter.  But my computer doesn't even know he has a LAN adapter.

It does not appear in the network and sharing Center > change adapter settings.  Only the connection wireless network card is listed.

It does not appear in Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters.  Yet once that the wireless adapter is listed.

My AT & T Modem is fine and the wireless router that I plugged it is fine.  The lightning did not affect them.

The Web page of the modem displays my pc as part of home network devices but shows its status of 'off '.  I think that if I click on scan for devices, it would pass in the list because there seems to be no current communication between the modem and the card ethernet at the moment.

I am however connected to the modem via my wireless router and from there, connection to internet is normal.  So, I don't think it's a problem of modem.  This same modem provides TV service and phone as well.

I think that for some reason any that the wired adapter got zap and disappeared.  And since there is no way the computer to find it, I do not think I can load drivers or something like that.  Since this is a 'built-in LAN' I think too which may mean it is part of the motherboard and I can't just insert another card.  I don't know how in any case.

    (1) it sounds like my adapter was killed?  Or y at - it another way to diagnose his health when the computer doesn't even know it's there. (Usual tools find no problem because they only check the wireless connection, because any other adapters is located.)

    (2) can I solve this problem by getting a USB Ethernet adapter, rather than take to the shop for repairs?  Especially if I have to get a new motherboard.  BTW, what does 'Integrated LAN' means?

    (3) my USB ports are 2.0 so I know it is not necessary to get a faster USB Ethernet adapter.  But is there anything else I need to know on which is compatible with this computer?

    Thank you for your help.

    (3) my USB ports are 2.0 so I know it is not necessary to get a faster USB Ethernet adapter.  But is there anything else I need to know on which is compatible with this computer?  You are right.  While USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0.  No, none of the adapter should work.

  • HP Pavilion P6 - 2220t: distortion of sound when using Vinly to CD software

Used Audacity and Golden Records Vinyl to CD software while using Numark Platinum vinyl and Uphono devices. Sound of the devices was good through headphones, while listening to that recording has been distorted and unpleasant. Audacity has worked with the previous desktop, but not this one. In addition, registration counters were bolted on two software. Not sure if it's a sound card, or a series of bad luck with the devices and P6. Never had a problem with Numark Platinum the previous desktop, but faced this distortion on the P6 - 2220t. Also noted the audacity meter monitoring does not always work on this desktop computer.

I don't think that it is a problem of HP hardware.  I suggest contacting the customer to the software publisher to see if they can help you.  They know the best software.  It could be that there is an incompatibility which they can identify.

  • P6 - 2220t: upgrading to Windows 10 failed because the display device impatibility

Windows 10 Upgrade does not work on this PC, because "the display is not compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer of support. "  Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT630 supplied with the system ordered from HP.

    The monitor is LG 27EA63.

What should I do to upgrade to Windows 10?

    Hello:

I think this needs to be an erroneous report.

W10 drivers for 630 GT there.

Make the DVD W10 and run it from the windows desktop.  Use the tool of creation of media below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/w indows10

When you install W10, skip the check for updates.  Just let it run.

In this way, it bypasses the hardware check.

You may have a problem with the audio IDT does not not on W10 however.

If you encounter this problem, see if this audio driver IDT works after having installed the W10.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • P6 - 2220t: System Recovery will erase my scores?

    So, here's the deal.

I am running windows 7, tried to install Linux Mint to dual boot with windows.

I allocated half of my hard drive to a partition for Linux.

Now, due to problems with my Bios, I can't quickly disable windows startup or start-up secure, so I can't get Linux to work and can no longer see almost half of my hard drive.

I really want to have these 250 gigabytes of hard disk space back.

When I got to the computer, I was tasked to make recovery disks (set of 4) that I have.

I already backed up all my data, but my question is, if I run the system recovery discs, they erase the partition I've implemented for linux?

I knid of you want to run any way restore before installing windows 10 as there are a few other bugs that I am not able to get rid of.

    Rob, welcome to the forum.

The recovery of the system will return your computer to the original configuration, from the first day that you started the computer.  In my opinion, it will only make two partitions; C:\ and D:\.

Hello, I plan to update my graphics card and cpu for my im cpu get an i3 2120. For my gpu im planning on getting a Gtx 550 ti, then my PSU handle both? Be my BIOS and motherboard is compatible with my gpu and cpu?

    Hi there @Reed71,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are looking for some tips of compatibility for system updates, you intend.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Referring to the HP Pavilion p6 - 2220 t product specifications and configurable Optionsand HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - specifications of the motherboard, H-Cupertino3-H61-uA TX (Cupertino3), you can see the following:

The power supply has a power of 300W.

Under the processor of the options of the "Core i3-2120 (Sandy Bridge) (65W), 3.3 GHz" is an option.

Under expansion slots, there is a PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0) card slot

The GTX 550ti is not listed as a configurable option, taking a look at the specifications of GeForce GTX 550 it - geforce.com, to see what the card needs:

    Bus support PCI-E 2.0 x 16

Minimum system requirements power: 400 W

    One additional power connectors 6-pin

Bus support is very good, but the power required is greater than your production capacity of power, so the PSU would need to something higher to 400 W and you need to be sure to have at least an extra power connector.  Thus, your system can support this card.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

You said that jiggle you the connector, but this is a new keyboard. Just where jiggle you the cable?  You said you tried all USB 2 ports (4 to the rear of the unit).

There are 4 ports.  I know that the mouse is connected to one.  These are marked 1.  There are 2 on top of the other.  Avoid the 2 LAN ports.  You say that the keyboard will not be plugged into one of these four (if you unplugged the mouse)?

BTW, these are called ports, no nodal points.  A hub is a multiple port device.
