Page begins to the left of "0".

What would cause this page left edge to start 100px left of "0"? It is causing all sorts of questions.

You build a Center justified the site with a left menu bar, which is why your image and the text is trolling your menu.

The best approach would be to put your top menu bar.

If you want the design of the side menu, you can assign to your site to left-aligned. Under the Properties menu, uncheck the box "Center horizontally", but you would have to rethink the way in which you

build the rest of the site. Using this approach, then you would set your menu to the "0" line bar and browsers would ignore the left pixel padding "100".

I used anchors on my web page and when I turn them on the page scrolls to the left remains pinned to the left for the rest of the links. I changed the properties of the site "browser Scrolls' a 'always' left and right as suggested and there is no change. How can I fix it?

  • noob: adding text moves my page on to the left

Well, I have seven or so mocked pages up with header div, nav div, then div content that the body tag has a maximum width of 960px and auto left and right (so centered on the page).

On all pages until now, they are all sweet online.

On one, when I paste text (about A4 page value) in the content div, the movement of entire page to the left about 10 pixels. Header div, nav div and content div

The text is simply, without style with no CSS applied.

It does my head in--that particular page "jumps" to the left, while all other pages are perfect.

    TIA,

    Simon.

The page to the left is caused by the appearance of the vertical scroll bar of browser on pages where the content is more than a deep screen (thus requiring a scroll).

When the content is less than a screen, the scroll bar disappears and the page moves to the right.

    http://CSS-tricks.com/eliminate-jumps-in-horizontal-centering-by-forcing-a-scroll-bar/

The usual solution is to add the following rule to your CSS stylesheet

    html {
    overflow-y: scroll;
    }

This requires a scroll bar is displayed on each page (which eliminates the shift of the page) if it is required by the amount of content or not.

  • Text box formatting withdrawal negative first: first line begins on the left, the rest is on the right.

InDesign CS6 finally arrived less than two weeks before I need the preliminary version of a major publication. I used last InDesign version 3 or 4. I used Publisher lately. I'm half way through the manual ID so direct me to a page number if this is the answer in there.

I want the first line of a paragraph in my text box to start on the left, then jump to a tab where more text begins. Until then, the text would wrap tab if it is long enough. Then the process begins again with the following paragraph in the same text box. I would like this formatting be automatic, with not much fuss on my part to do at work - and run around (not on top of) pictures on the right.

    It should look like this:

    -----

Funding: Funding goes here. It is long.
It wraps to the point the tab to the 'a '.

Description: A description goes here. It is long.
It wraps to the point the tab to the 'a '.

    -----

In Word, do you it by pulling the back 'home' to the right, where it aligns with the tab, and it is called a "hanging indent."

Is it possible (easily) in InDesign? Or do I have two areas of text with the vertices lined up, to get two different margins 'left'?

I tried to do it with a table but sometimes the table gets too long and the bottom line or two disappears, even if the blue lines are way big... and the text is not flowing around the photos to the right, so I have to keep narrow if the type is not on the top of the photo. This is not the effect I want! My last page model has seven two columns, a table of line that is not an ideal solution either because I have to manually set the gaps between paragraphs and tables - and the text isn't always in circulation around the photos.

    Help!

Peter's suggestion works if you prefer justified left, titles that show you in your example. Indent to here works when you want to right justified titles that I show in my example.

  • Table of contents, Page number on the left if the tab is too short

Sorry about the title of coplex, couldn't happen to a better.

Is there a solution to the table of contents of style then the page number never ends on the left side? Everything works fine if the topics listed in the TOC spans on one or more lines.

But if the listed topic ends exactly at the end of a line (in the table of contents), the page number appears on the left side of the next line. (I have a ^ t between the entrance and the number in the table of contents style.) If a single word in flows in the line below, the table of contents correctly adds the... (dotted) and place the pagenumber to the right.

Can I modify the paragraph Style from table of contents or TOC Style so that the number is right-aligned, even if there is no prior entry (which is on the line above).

    Example of the problem:

    Correct / Normal... 1
This title is exact a row of table of contents
    2

I would also put the option "Balance unbalanced lines.

  • Anchor to the top of the page moves to the left

Hi, I have a problem. An anchor is supposed to go to the top of the page.  I have placed in several places to anchor higher, again, created new documents etc. again whenever I click on the hyperlink element, it goes up, but always goes back slightly to the left instead of right.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I had a similar problem, this site has helped:

    http://www.Muse-themes.com/blogs/News/8693367-quick-tip-fixing-vertical-scrolling-bugs

When I made, the anchor was as far left as possible, (i.e. aligned on the left edge) and moved my analytical google tag in the head in the upper right, it fixed my problem (the menu kept jumping to the left). I think he picked up the analytical code that has been less marked down and off the page.

However, I now have a new issue, only now, when I click on my menu bar, which all goes to anchors, the first work, then the next I click do nothing. The url changes to #anchorname, but then the site does not move. And after that, it is frozen and I can not scroll away?

    My site is www.weathertogether.org

If anyone can help please do!

  • Adobe Muse page moves to the left

    Hello

I love Adobe Muse and have been using it for awhile now. I had this problem before, but it was due to items being placed outside the area of the page, so of course, I studied than the first. Unfortunately, I still have this problem and I triple checked my items to ensure that they have not been connected, but I'm still not the page to align when you open the page in IOS. I read another food that offers a code = < name meta = 'window' content = "width = XXX" initial-scale = 1.0 > to put in the metadata, but is not no longer works. I've included a link to the next page.

Can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated.

It is very probably the scroll bar of your browser, forcing him to jump to the left.

Add to the head section of your page properties:

  • Alignment horizontally centered pages mixed to the left

Is it possible to mix with centered layout pages horizontally and those who don't (aligned to the left) not in the same Web site and how do I go about this in this case?

    This can be achieved.

    You can try the suggestions:

-Create the scroll effect homepage which should be active on the page down.

-In the final position where home scrolls upward, insert a publication or in the page itself add menu on the left that you can design with the style of menu by default or with anchors and menu manual.

-The elements of the page that needs scrolling can be added in the page or container if you use composition and using anchor-related menu items.

-Apply the effect of scrolling to the elements on the page.

-Use the layer panel so that all page content must cross behind the menu.

-Adjust the height according to the content of the horizontal page that should appear after centered home scrolled to the top of the page.

    With regard to horizontal scrolling.

You can control the vertical and horizontal scrollbars on the management of the parameters of the effect of scrolling page.

  • Web page moves to the left when you use the buttons of the anchor

I almost finished the design of my site in Muse. All previews OK in the Viewer to Muse. When I preview the page in Chrome there is a problem. Everything works great until you use the page with anchor buttons. When you scroll it centered, but when you use anchor buttons all over the page, and especially everything on it moves upward and to the left. Once he goes left, he remains left. Anchor to the left buttons are pined. They stay in place all the time. There is a photo pinned to the right and left in place also. The Web page containing the achor buttons goes to the left when using the anchor buttons pinned. All other pages on the site remain focused. The option "Center horizontally' is checked in the options page for each page. What should I do to avoid that page travel biased?

There is a void textframe top right of your page. Please see the screenshot below. Detached and reprint should solve the problem.

    See you soon,.

  • Page moves to the left when adding Image

    Hello

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could kindly put a fix for a rather irritating problem that causes web pages to spend maybe 20 px to the left when the images are placed in the content area DIV. main It occurs when you view it in several browsers and whatever versions of DW used namely MX2004, V8 and CS5. The question is particularly endemic when using CS5 set the column templates.

What the devil I'm doing wrong? Code can be provided if necessary (i.e. it is not a problem that is easily identifiable). I searched Google and this forum but have not found a solution to the problem.

    Thanks in advance

  • How to start the numbering of the pages on the left side of the spread without changing the layout.

I'm working on a catalog that must start with page "1" on the left side of the spread. Whenever I put it, the spread moves. I understand books should start on page 1 on the right, but it's what the client asked sadly. I come from a background of Quark where it is easy with no movement to change the beginning of the page numbering. How can I change the page numbering without disrupting the file?

    Thank you

    1. Start a new document with page 2
    2. Select all the pages in the page Panel.
    3. In the context menu of the Panel page uncheck enable spreads Shuffle
    4. Double click on the small triangle at the top of page 2
    5. Change the numbering to start with page 1 now.

    That's all
