  I bought a model site.  It has a css file, /styles/screen.css

  It also has a template page 'home' with the link to the style sheet within the < head > section:

  I am tempted to change screen.css, by editing the file in the 'Develop' administration Console and pressing the 'Save' button on the file when changes are made.

  It's like the Page template does not recognize changes to the screen.css.

  I think that you too complicate the thinking problem that BC is a non-standard way of processing applications to a css file. This looks more like a cache or perhaps a code problem. • Why my pages change position?

  I built a site (kensdigitalart.com).  I built the site on the pages still on display in the same position on the local computer.  Once downloaded and read some pages change slightly in position on other machines.  What is the best way to avoid this?

  Well, there are three options...
  1. If you set the order of the elements in the browser of the object (which you won't) then pressing the Enter key on the last item in the tab page it will move to the first item in the second tab.
  2. create KEY-NEXT-ITEM trigger and use the GO_ITEM() and send the first item in the page next tab.
  3. use the navigable property as I mentioned earlier.

  You can change styles programmically or dyanamically if you like.

  There are a few steps to be implemented.

  1. create your different style sheets and place them in a folder (best practices).

  2. in your browser Flex 'right click' on your style sheets and select "Compiler CSS to SWF" for each of them.

  USAGE EXAMPLE:

  I created a drop down list component and loaded in a collection of static array data provider for

  [Bindable]

  Then I call this function which is triggered off the coast of the event of 'change' from the drop-down list box.

• CS5 file suspended CS6 when you change styles

  Windows 7, InDesign CS6 8.01

  I was working on a file of about 91 pages with plenty of tables in CS5 last week. We have to day at CS6 this week, and the file seems to work very well. I decided that I was not satisfied with the appearance of the tables, so I went the table style, changed lines color fills, and as soon as I clicked on 'Preview' I got the blue spinning circle. Only way out was to complete the program.

  Since then, I tried the following:

  * Change color without previewing (crashes)

  * Import document CS5 in CS6 again, try again (crashes)

  * Open the file in CS5 on another computer (such as it has been uninstalled on mine) and try the same (end)

  * Export out to IDML of CS5 and who import CS6 (very good). Try to change the style (crashes)

  * Try to change the color of a font in a paragraph style (crashes)

  * Try to change the font of a paragraph style (fine)

  Open the CS6 document which was casuing all the evil on another machine with CS6 (is not displayed, then crashes)

  Open the IDML CS5 on the other computer (fine) then try the change in table style (crashes)

  * On the original computer, re - import styles of table from a previous version (fine) then try change (crashes)

  * Reproduce the table style, change the color in the style (thin, but not applied to anything), then delete the original style, replace with a new one (crashes)

  I am at a loss here, because my usual solution of strangeness should go on the IDML road as I thought that rebuilt the file again. Does not seem to want to play at the same time however.

  Any suggestions?

  Thanks for your reply Peter. I had not thought the road to tagged text, probably because I've never had use of tagged text!

  I gave it a go, export the entire embarrassing section in the tag text. Placing them back in a new InDesign document with automatic flow of texts on, I had the same crash/spinny-wheel-causing-me-to-end-task. I tried again, but this time turn off "automatic formatting" and has done page by page, noting that it would break. Next time, I cut out the table that the accident would happen on when I got to it (the accident would happen as soon as I clicked on the output port), stuck on the side, made a note where he went and continued to give the rest of the story without a hitch. I could change the table style in the paper without problem.

  I glued the troublesome rear table, tried to change the style of table and got to the accident. Right, getting somewhere.

  I opened the previous model and put it back in the section who was not at the origin of the problems (all without the dodgy table). I could change the style very well. Then, I made a new document and pasted the wrong table, thinking that it would crash when I went to change the style. However, I could change the style of table very well!

  So, thinking that everything was ok now I copied the table, stuck with the rest, went to change the style and... spinny ball.

  Finally, I converted the table to text pasted into the main document and converted to a table. So far so good. I'll update again if I run into any more problems.

  Realistically, I could put the thing still once in the time it took me to solve this, but I'm a little scared that it happened at all with a document that works very well in CS5!

• Glossary hotspots change styles

  
  I added a glossary to aid my system and it worked great - then I added hot spots. They worked well, but they trashed some of my styles! Above all, they brought to change from Arial to Times New Roman. When I checked the styles themselves, they looked fine - they are just wrong on the page. This included the breadcrumbs and some title styles. I thought that if I removed all the hot spots and regenerated the glossary, styles would come back, but that didn't happen. No idea how or why this happened, and also how I can change them back? I already decided not to go with the hotspots if they're going to cause this kind of erratic behavior - I can't get enough with Safari and Firefox without breaking my IE (so far) working model.

  I went into the CSS for each section and discovered that the Normal style had been reset from Arial to TNR. I fixed that in each chapter and now it seems fine. If it does again the next time I have regenerate, at least I can fix it in a few minutes!

  The CSS settings for all of the application: write a style sheet and include it in your page template.
  In the definition of the header, for example:

• Photobook: How can you look at layouts different photobook BEFORE you put all your photos? I want to see inside pages of styles before choosing one to put my pictures in.

• Button changes style when it is connected to the application manager

  I connected the standard axButtons for the application handler in a custom IOS built in CSharp using Visual Studio 2008.  When I run the OI, the buttons change to standard style (edges rounded, etc.) what looks like a classic style (square edges, no color gradient, etc.).  At first I thought this might be a limitation of CSharp, but when I ran the CSharp UI executable (comes with Teststand), the buttons seem correct.  Is there a reference that I haven't added or something?  I followed (copied about) the code found in the CSharp UI complete, leaving aside the functions that I didn't need.

  This is the only true code on both buttons.  It's pretty simple, so I imagined what a project property that I have install incorrectly.  I have also included the namespaces I've included.

  No problem. I've attached a zip file that contains the recommended manifest file and the updated project file that references. I didn't create the manifest file, place the file in the directory of the project file, add the manifest file to the project, select the file in the control of the ring on the settings tab application to embed the manifest, rebuild the project and run.

  2 right-click the PIXMA MG3120 and left click on Printing Preferences.

  3. click on the Page Setup tab.

  4. under Page layout, select 'chipped '.

  5. next to Scaling, choose a number greater than 100, try 150 or 200.

  6. click on apply and then OK.

  Your desktop shortcut is maybe damaged. Here's how you can check that:

  • Shortcut on the desktop: right-click on the icon, choose Properties
  • Icon taskbar pinned: clic click right on the icon, right click in Mozilla Firefox, click on properties

  Windows normally selects the shortcut tab. If this is not the case, go ahead and click on the shortcut tab.
  The target line do not need anything after this part:
  Firefox 32-bit on Windows 64-bit: "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe.
  Otherwise: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
  If nothing is listed after this, clear out and save your changes. To test, you can:

  • Shortcut on the desktop: double-click the icon to launch a new window
  • Icon taskbar pinned: right-click on the icon, click Mozilla Firefox to open a new window

  If you get a normal start or a new window showing your home page, the shortcut is back to normal.

• Changing Styles of characters in the CC library

  My team at work use a shared library to ensure the coherence of our designs. We share colors, graphics and character styles. If our design standards change, we can easily right-click on a color or an image in the library and choose Edit to update this article and it will update automatically all the documents.

  The problem that we run is that it doesn't seem to be a way to change the Styles of characters in the library. We have tried to update the style in a document and pushed to the library with the same filename, hoping he would write the old style too, but it doesn't. We have two Styles of character with just different properties the same name. We must go through each document and manually apply the new character Style we think defeats the purpose of the library.

  Is there something we're doing wrong or is editing function simply not available for Styles of characters in the library? If the Edit option is not available, anyone found a work-around to change a character in the library for our documents Style automatically updated?

  The editing feature is not yet available for paragraph and character Styles. The styles are also unrelated to the styles in the document.
