pages created from a template reflected no change

So I created a template file in dreamweaver.

Then I created 2 pages out of the model. Later, I changed the template (I have replace the semicolons with an asterisk). I saved the template, and he asked me if I wanted to update the 2 pages created from the template. I said updated.

Unfortunately the colon had not been replaced by asterisks. Why not?

How can I tell dreamweaver to force the model on pages again? Thank you.

  • Why is missing from my html page created from a template of the formatting?

    Hi all!

    Hope you can help me.

    I created a new template in dreamweaver - all good. When I saw the page template in a browser, everything seems perfect.

    But when I create a new HTML of this model, even if the page seems perfect in Design view, all the formatting is absent when he spotted in a browser.

    Site settings have been compared to the root of the site and I changed it to be compared to the document (do not know if this should make a difference). Whatever it is, it has not changed anything.

    Any ideas?

    Site settings have been compared to the root of the site

    If you have No active "Preview using temporary files" in your PREFERENCES then links to the root site fails on preview. Why? Because the site root relative links * always * start by ' / ', and when the browser sees this, it (because he knows nothing about Dreamweaver sites) correctly seeks the path from the root of your hard drive, not the root of the site DW. When you turn the preview using temporary files, before you put the file in the browser, DW obligingly converts all related links related links to document root (which * will * work on preview) but to do it needs to create a temporary file (there are other things that happen as well, as external files is integrated in the code for the preview (, but is not relevant to this discussion). The reason for which that a temporary file is created is to ensure that these changes do not affect your saved file.

    So, if you want to use relative links of the root site previews of your pages, you must enable the temporary files in the preview. There is really nothing wrong with this, except that you can sometimes see a curious file named xzys139 (.html in your local files list - this is a temporary file that was handed to the browser for preview, and for some reason any has not been deleted.) In fact, it can save your bacon sometimes, because it gives you a "backup" of the page on which you can go back in case something catastrophic.

    In the bigger picture, there is no advantage to using site root relative links UNLESS you use server-side also doesn't include. It will make your life a little simpler if you don't use them.

    Finally, after having these links in your template file with the option of active root site, change this option to the document will not affect NEW, not existing connections. That's why Ken has asked to see the link in your template: it's because he knows that even if you took the option edit, this old link will not be affected and therefore fails on the preview (assuming that you have not activated the temporary file thing).

    As usual, start and end editable sections appear in gray, and meta tag names are blue according to my diet, so I think that I do it correctly, however, I want to be sure before submitting it to google incorrectly. Can you tell me if I'm wrong?

    Thank you

    There is no 'correct' placement tags meta as long as they are legally in the header of the document.  And by the way, you do not need to create an editable area separate for them - they can be put in one of the two existing editable regions already there ("doctitle" or "head").

    Finally, while the addition of keywords meta will not help your page rank, it probably won't hurt her no more.  The content of this meta tag is ignored by all the major search engines.

  • Problem with the files created from a template

    I've never had this problem before and I can't seem to understand how to solve this problem. I DW 8 and we have created a new Web site, and we have a cfm template root named root.dwt.cfm. Everything works normally when you change the code in the model, but when you go to edit the code in a file that you created from the template, all the text is black and it is not the code hints or anything like that. It's as if he doesn't know what kind of file is it or something? It is the first model that I created in DW 8, so is this some sort of bug? Is there anything I can try to check to understand what is happening? I am at a loss.

    Thank you!!!

    Too bad... I just understood what the problem was. Somehow, I left the beginning html tag. Once I put that in there, problem solved!

    This is how I created the page of 'taskInfo. In the PRC, I registered a context property that I am able to access it from the current page but not in 'taskinfo. "gestureHandlers: []" is "listItemComponents".

    I expect to access the object of 'taskInfo' is because I am able to access it from another page created the same way.

    Here's how to register the context property.

    QmlDocument *qml = QmlDocument::create("asset:///main.qml").parent(this);

    TaksList is another qml file. When I createObject from this qml file, somewhy context property is not trafered to this object.

    I've found a workaround. I created a function in main.qml and only now I create object, so the contextproperty is transferred

  • How to automatically remove comments from model in the page created from template?

    Hi all

    I would like to eliminate generated Dreameaver of comments in published pages.

    Beast, perhaps, but they are really a loss (of space, bandwidth, etc.).

    Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically eliminated in the pages that are generated from a model?

    For example, on this page:

    http://Libri-belli-Ma-anche-romanzi-Brutti.it/Daria-Bignardi-Acustica-Perfetta.html

    a comments from the original model.

    <h1><!-InstanceBeginEditable name = "Autore + Titolo"->Daria Bignardi: craftmanship the Acustica<! - InstanceEndEditable - >< /h1 >

    Someone at - it a suggestion on how they can be quickly withdrawn before publication on the server?

    Thanks all!

    Riccardo

    No, can't be done.  Markup DWT tells the program that it is a model.  FrontPage/Expression Web also has the TPL files and uses a similar markup for its models.  Only way to get rid of it is to move to a language server as PHP or CMS solution that includes uses side.

  • Problem with the pages created from the master

    I work on a leyouts of photo album and have created multiple master pages containing "Rectangle Frames". I want to use these images to insert pictures.

    If I insert the photos in frames on the master WITHOUT creating a new page, based on the mask, everything works fine.

    However if I create a new page and apply this master, I can add pictures to a few "Rectangle frames" properly but some do not accept the image at all or streach the picture outside its borders. In any case most of the frameworks become unusable (?)

    I tried to recreate some masters, but didn't help at all.

    No idea how to solve this problem is appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Guides can be selected and copied like any other object, as long as they are not locked. If you want them in the same position in a new page or a document, you can "paste in place."

  • .PNG footer CSS disappears when I create the new template file

    I have a .png background image in my CSS footer which immediately disappears when I create a new template file. If I just save the template in the .html file, it works fine, but defeated the purpose of the model. the .gif in the sidebar CSS is implemented in exactly the same way and works very well.

    Here's the CSS to the template:

    .twoColFixLtHdr #footer {
     background:#768E90;
     padding-top: 12px;
     padding-right: 30px;
     padding-bottom: 0;
     padding-left: 0px;
     background-image: url(../Images/kc-png-footer.png);
     height: 62px;
     background-repeat: no-repeat;

    Here is the CSS of the .htm file that is created from the template:

    .twoColFixLtHdr #footer {
     background:#768E90;
     padding-top: 12px;
     padding-right: 30px;
     padding-bottom: 0;
     padding-left: 0px;
     background-image: url(Images/kc-png-footer.png);
     height: 62px;
     background-repeat: no-repeat;

    The two direct file links are below:

    Here is the page that was created when I went File > New > from the model (notice it is no white .png background image in the footer):
    http://www.kidscountpeds.NET/01-KCP-from_template.html

    Here is the page saved as .htm to the .dwt file model (note the background image of white footer with RADIUS corners, that's what I'm trying to accomlish with model): http://www.kidscountpeds.NET/01-KCP-template.htm

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    According to the code you show, DW does exactly what it should be done (assuming the child page is at the top level of the site).  But when I browse the site and look at the code, I see that there are several links that are broken.

    {.twoColFixLtHdr #sidebar1}
    float: left; / * because this element is floating, it takes a width * /.
    Width: 200px; / actual width of this div, in browsers comply with the standards, or the standard mode of Internet Explorer includes the padding and border in addition to width * /.
    background: #d0e4a6; / * the background color will be displayed for the length of the content of the column, but no further * /.
    padding: 0px 10px 15px 20px;
    background-image: url (file:///C|/Websites/Kids Count/Images/kc-mc-background.gif);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    height: 420px;
    }

    ...

    .twoColFixLtHdr #footer {}
    background: #768E90;
    padding-top: 12px;
    padding-right: 30px;
    padding-bottom: 0;
    padding-left: 0px;
    background-image: url (file:///C|/Websites/Kids Count/Images/kc-png-footer.png);
    height: 62px;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }

    Obviously, a link to an image on your hard drive will not work on the web.

    What you have in the field of Local site root folder in your site definition?  Is - this - C:\Websites\Kids County?  What happens when you open the child page and apply the template directly on it with MODIFY | Models > model apply to the page...?  Is the CSS code on this aspect of the page as I have shown above?

  • New pages made from the messed up model!

    Hello

    I made a template that is not yet finished... I decided to test it, but when I do new pages of it, the formatting is messed up (in all the new pages I created from the template). Of course, this happens before you download on the pages... (I need to make many different pages of the model, but is unable to continue because of that...)

    If I saw the new page "messed up" in Safari (it is by clicking on the button Preview in Dreamweaver itself), it's almost OK, but the background image is not displayed. Could someone suggest what I might need to do to get the 'News' page appear fine in Dreamweaver itself.

    I'm new to Dreamweaver and have just started with it since his arrival from GoLive...

    Thanks in advance.

    I have problems with the CBC links when I create a new page from a template DWT. I hope someone can help me. Here's what I did.

    When I need to come a file from another site, here's what I do.

    Go to Site 1.  Open the file in Design view or Code view.  Turn off Live View.

    Go to Site 2.  File > save as new_filename.html in the root directory of the Site 2.

    DW should invite you to update the links.  Press YES.

    Close the Site 1 file.

    Check the file links 2 Site to ensure that they document.

    Validate code & solve the errors reported.

    When you are completely satisfied with your document, click file > save as template.

    DW will ask you to insert editable regions for content that changes from one page to another.  To do this and save your template.

    Close the model.

    File > new > Site Template Page.

    Press the button create.

    SaveAs index.html (your home page).

    Repeat for other pages of the site.

  • How to change head on a Web page created in a model

    I created a few Web pages from a Dreamweaver template I did and thought add in the content, then go back and add in the titles, metadata, etc. However, the head section of all my Web pages is dimmed, so that I can not change the content. I have added editable regions to the body and tried to create editable regions in the head section of the page, so that I could edit this article, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone know how I can change this section? My concern is that I have to detach all the pages of the template, which I didn't have to do. Furthermore, I use Dreamweaver CS5.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    You must open your tile Template.dwt and make sure you have the Editable Regions for the title of doc andTags.  If these elements are not editable from child pages generated from this model.

    If your model must contain these important pieces of code.

  • Why are my radio buttons do not rename pages spawned from a hidden template?

    Hello world

    I'm new to PDF forms and have never tried to use JavaScript. However, I have learned many things and I have followed several threads and almost accomplished what I want, but have hit a block. I don't understand the JavaScript well enough to find my problem. Your help is greatly appreciated.

    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Adobe Acrobat X Pro Mac OS 10.8.5

    WHAT I WANT: a form of several pages (100 pages) of grading of student assignments. Each page must have the same fields, but as each page belongs to a new student, he must have different values in the fields on different pages. Each page contains 4 questions to score, with possibilities of 4 points for each question (0, 1, 2, 3 points), and then only to 01:20 should be selected by the question.

    WHAT I HAVE BECAUSE, by following the instructions in this thread (Re: multiple-page form) ):

    (1) created a form with a field for the name of the student and 4 sets of radio buttons (labeled Questions 1 to 4, with choice of score 0-3).

    (2) placed a button at the bottom of the page that will generate a new page and rename fields.

    (3) set this page as a template.

    4) has created a page.

    (5) made the model "hidden."

    THE PROBLEM: Steps 1-4 above work perfectly - as long as the model (called 'Form') is visible, when I click the button, a new page generates and student name field renames fields to Page 2 for "P2. "Form.Student ID # ' and the boxes option and rename it 'P2 '. Form.Question 1 "etc. Whenever I press the button, it renames everything properly.

    However, if I hide the model, then when I click on the button on page 1, Page 2 fields are renamed "P1. Form.StudentID # 1. "AND THE RADIO BUTTONS DO NOT RENAME. They get the name "P1. Form.Question 1 "etc. So the student name field did rename in a way that allows me to enter a new name on every page, but is not actually reflecting that I am on page 2, and regarding radio buttons, at that time, I can't enter the different scores on different pages because they are all part of the same group radio button.

    If I use checkboxes, they rename similarly to the student ID field, but I don't want to use checkboxes because I want to back a possible score value for each question to have the data in the table. I don't want to not let the model visible because when I distribute this screen allows other workbooks, they can enter values in the page template without realizing it, and then when the forms of spawning, they hurt the data already entered.

    Here is the script that I put as the mouse to the top button script:

    Specify the name of the model
    var template_name = "form";

    Get a reference to the model
    var t = getTemplate (template_name);

    Add a new page based on the template
    If (t! = null) {}

    t.Spawn({)
    nPage: numPages, / / add the new page at the end of the document
    bOverlay: false, / / create a new page, not an overlay
    bRename: true / / rename fields
    });

    } else {}
    App.Alert ("the named model-'" + template_name + "does not exist in this document.", 1);
    }

    Thanks for your help

    It's basically the script to a page of spawning but changed the page number 0 and adds the code to hide the model >

    Specify the name of the model

    var template_name = "form";

    Get a reference to the model

    var t = getTemplate (template_name);

    Add a new page based on the template

    If (t! = null) {}

    t.Spawn({)

    nPage: 0, / / add the new page at the beginning of the document

    bOverlay: false, / / create a new page, not an overlay

    bRename: true / / rename fields

    });

    t.Hidden = true; hide the model

    } else {}

    App.Alert ("the named model-'" + template_name + "does not exist in this document.', 1, 0");

    }

    If we do not hide the model and the model field are met, then the model replicates the field with the value of the field.

  • How can I create my own template pages, to print a 4-page newsletter on both sides of the tabloid-size paper?

    How can I create my own template pages, to print a 4-page newsletter, using both sides of the tabloid-size paper?

    The finished newsletter should be a folded booklet: a piece of 11 x 17 paper folded to form a 8.5x11 "booklet". This clearly means pages 1 and 4 should be printed on one side of the tabloid sheet and pages 2 & 3 on the other.

    I can't find such a model in the Pages.

    There is no such a model, so you'll have to make your own, using a spread on presentation of your newsletter.

    Use shapes, images and text boxes to position available for your model.

    You didn't say what version of Pages that you are using but if it's Pages 5.x, it has no text boxes related so this will make it difficult and it's going to be a lot of manual work.
