Pallets, anchored on the right always open in minimized state
I have a custom workspace (similar to the basics) with my common palettes clustered and anchored to the right. They were always open and ready to go since I used this kind of configuration since the beginning of CS. But since the upgrade to 9.1, now palettes always open in a reduced state. Reduced to a minimum. And before you start, I need to double click on each of them and open them individually. A total pain in the Bar of the Astor. What's the story? And the same thing happens if I switch to Essentials BTW. Except the Pages palette is not at least.
Try to remove temporarily the woodwing plugins both suitcase.

I tried everything I found on internet to make files open full screen and stay like that. Is there a permanent solution for this? I've been at Microsoft, vistax64.com, etc. including Alt space X - problem solved or BAD! Help, please. Thank you.
Three options.
1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.
2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

The browser always opens with 10 tabs home, not just 1.
Whenever I open the browser instead of just the home page, 10 tabs are filled with home pages.

Yes, not much more to say. Since I've upgraded to firefox 5.0, I opened several windows. Several tabs to work, but I don't like tabs. Help, please.
See if they work in Mode safe mode, which is very easy to test Firefox 5.
Safe mode: to appear in safe mode, a time when you do not not tick the subjects (they are definitely not safe). Help ('Alt + H") >"restart with disabled modules. If there is no problem then it is almost certainly of an extension.
If it works, try to find the addon (s) causing the problem.
- Disable half of the extensions and restart Firefox. At this point, you are no longer using safe and test extensions.
- If the problem persists, disable half of the other extensions
If it does not work select last half of people disabled
Then restart. and check again at step 2.In case of failure to isolate the problem return answer and so resolute mark thread as resolved.

In the previous version of Firefox, there's a (+) to the right of open tabs. Clicking this button would display the Web pages visited earlier. This button seems to be missing in Firefox v.4.0.1.
This feature is always available? Or am I just missing something?
Thank you
You can find the button new tab showing as a '+' on the tab bar.
You can open the Customize and drag the new tab, button of the toolbar tabs on another toolbar and it will become a regular tools like the new button bar button tab you have in versions of Firefox 3.
If you would like the button tab at the right end of the tab bar then put a hose to the left of it.If you don't see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette, then click on the "Restore default" button to restore the default toolbar set up.
Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

Whenever I open a Windows Explorer window, the preview window to adapt is questionable. It is anchored on the right side of the window. Sometimes it's fine, other times, it covers more important data like date/time and file size. If I have it full screen on my wide screen, everything is great, but when I throw it in my smaller screen, everything must shrink. Rather than shrink the preview pane, it allows the preview pane cover the most important areas.
The width of the preview in Windows Explorer screen can be hung on the left side instead of the right side?
I don't think it can be docked to the left. I know that the sector details can twisted to put it on the bottom rather than the side (like Vista/7), but the preview pane itself isn't such a tweak.

Boredom:
In the right pane of file, if you double-click a folder it opens in a new window instead in this window.
It appeared after I installed IE8 and / or play a bit with my startmenu options, but I can't tell if they are really the reason.
All these tips on 'options records' fail miserably in my case. Here is the real solution for my case:
Open regedit.
Navigate to:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\explore\command]
The default value has been set to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /separate,/e,/idlist,%I,%LI changed it to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,/idlist,%I,%Land then explorer.exe behaved as expected.
Do not mix with the folder option always "open in a separate process", that everywhere else in the registry.
What makes it even more strange, in some cases, you can change it again to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /separate,/e,/idlist,%I,%Land the behavior remains as it should.
For admins: because a "weird plain' or a 'system' forum is missing: feel free to sort, where it belongs.
Set
Gotcha for other machines:
Start-> programs-> Accessories-> Command Shell (rightclick-> run as admin)
Regsvr32.exe /s actxprxy.dll
and that it has set for the two other machines.

I use Linux on my Acer laptop. I want to use Mozilla Firefox version 42.0 or more recent in the 'new private window Mode"always. When I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop or the taskbar, I want Firefox to open in 'New private window' always; no exception. When I click on the tab button or a link, all new pages should always open 'Private window' mode. In addition, I want to know that I am in a private window with privacy mask showing. Your help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Amos.
Hi Amos, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:
- You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
- You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
- You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings

Why Firefox always opens with the last session tabs?
When I open firefox always opens with the last session tabs? How can I solve this problem?
You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.
The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session. You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer. -
This has started happening since I upgraded to v.17. I close Firefox with the red X or the button to exit the menu drop down. The next time I open, it displays some pages were open when I closed it.
I've always had Firefox to use my Google account as my home page. He does not appear.
It seems to me that in your quest to keep updated (how much this year...?) that you have lost a little something. It's very bad behaviour and I will stop just using FF altogether if it is not resolved quickly.
Well, I drove back two versions to the right FF15 before 16 came out. It still works with the most recent NIS, and does not have the behavior, I complained to my original question.
It might be that FF17 thought that it had crashed whenever I closed it. And it's true, no matter how I closed it.
I lost all faith in Mozilla, R & D, but at least they still host their previous versions if/when the current does not work.

My v6.02 browser Firefox always open *.csv (separator: semicolon) file in another tab instead of downloading a file? I have no option to right click to save this file. My PC is windows XP sp2.
The CSV file is sent as text/plain. If you want to save the file then right-click and use them "save the link as" to save the file or hold the Alt key and left-click that should work on Windows.
