Panasonic camcorder usb driver for windows 7

Hi, I have a Panasonic model NV-GS70B camcorder about six years which was supplied with a usb on a cd for windows XP driver and it worked fine on my old computer. It will not hold on my new computer windows 7 and Panasonic do not have a driver windows 7 for my camera. When I try to load the driver on the cd I get the message "the requested operation requires a rise." How can I do this?

You can not. Panasonic have chosen to no longer to support your camcorder, if the end of the line re Windows 7.

XP mode would be of no use to you, but maybe dual boot with XP ok. Of course, you would need a full commercial version of XP that would cost you $$$.

Have you thought about doing a new camcorder?

I have to disagree. Since the camcorder seems to want to use cards SD buy a USB no expensive card reader (~ $ 5) would be a much cheaper option.
