  I did a reset of my system BIOS by resseting the 'default' Config in the file section of my computer.

  When I restarted my PC is really slow to open Windows 7, when prompted I did the Ctrl + Alt + Delete, really takes a lot of time to get password to connect to...

  After logging into the PC behaves as if its going to open Windows 7, but does not. Instead, I have the blue wheel type icon that lights up for a long time before the screen turns black. Althouth it is black I can still see the pointer, and it moves on the screen, but can't do anything else.

  I can't get into windows in safe mode.

  First enter boot hit "safe mode with command prompt.

  Once inside the command-line type sfc/scannow and press enter

  It will take some time to analyze...  Once the completed scan glance to see if Windows detects any violation in Windows and has corrected all the errors found.  Try and normal restart and see if Windows can start successfully.  If Windows does not start correctly restart in "Safe Mode with command prompt" again...  Next type chkdsk /r and press to enter. You will then need to restart for a disk check run > This will take a while, but can fix all the errors on the disc that may prevent Windows from starting correctly.  Windows once complete will automatically restart and try a startup.

  NB: between the c and / there is a space NB: also a space between the k and /.

• Win 7 64 bit - 3rd third party apps won't open Windows dialogs (save money, save, open, import, etc.)

  I'm running Windows 7 pro 64-bit. I have Office 2010 installed and a host of 3rd party applications. The problem is that all my 3rd party apps are impossible to open a dialog box or the child window.

  For example, if I use Open Office and am writing or Calc and go to save a document by clicking file > save, the Open Office window will quickly blink a couple of times and nothing will happen. No dialog box opens. Therefore, I'm unable to save the file. Keyboard shortcuts don't work either for this purpose. However, if I change the options in the preferences of Open Office to use dialog boxes Open native Office, then everything works fine.

  The only problem with this approach is that very few applications have this option. All native applications of MS just excellent work. It's only a 3rd party app problem. So, what I get out of this is that there is probably a registry problem where applications are trying to make a call, but the key is no longer there or corrupted in some way. I'm trying not to reinstall Windows 7 because I don't want to go through the pain to reinstall all applications.

  Things I've tried so far: uninstall antivirus, repair Windows, disable all controls user account, disable firewall, compatibility running administrator mode, mode reinstall application, latest updates of windows, video drivers, safe mode and updated firmware mobo. No dice. I do not have a restore point to before time, I started to notice the problem. I'm not sure that I have installed, uninstalled or removed which may have caused the issue.

  This problem is killing me. Any help is appreciated.

  There are a few things you can try to see if it helps.

  One, run SFC/scannow to see if you have files corrupted in Windows 7 system.
  Click Start
  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
  Click on "Run as Administrator"
  At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

  This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.

  Reboot your system.

  Then, try and see if you are still not able to open Windows dialog boxes. If this isn't the case, then I think your next option would be to do a upgrade in Place who fixes Windows 7.
  However, you will need to have the Windows 7 DVD.

  The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do.   Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

  I read everything I can and can't find anything.  Even the support forum shows the application photo with harvest and turn like their screenshot for windows 8.  If I go into my library in windows 8, the only thing I can do is to "visualize".  Others of the edition with the paint opening and right click.  I don't even have this option.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is a new computer and a new operating system.  Everything seems difficult when you have to google all the simple tasks and cannot locate the necessary elements...  Help, please!

  I finally figured it... Unfortunately as a new user, I missed what is obvious.  There was an update with all these features available for photo enforcement.  If you're under the new Windows 8 like I am, you will find all your updates to your application under the Flagstone "STORE".   Ironically, I had even spoken with Microsoft and surprisingly not ever made a single mention of it.  It is not my product so I feel better to miss what is obvious.  Microsoft cannot say the same.

  Try to uncheck the share options in the Panel preferences of the VM application sharing.  You can also click on the restore default button in the default zone of the applications as well.

  TL; DR: having backups, use TLS everywhere, choose passwords secure, use codes to six digits or (better) passwords, etc.

  Well, since you are clearly concerned about the safety...  First, go get yourself good and current backups and maintain and recreate with the some schedule, like a lot of people here who are concerned about safety have these backups, or not to encrypt these backups.   Backups are a central part of the security, because they are the path to your data after the loss of the unit, damage or theft or such.   Although iCloud backups are possible, I prefer to use iTunes for this.

  Then determine if you have installed a software who ran security iOS - a process called jailbreaking - or whether you are a target of interest for an individual entity, organization or nation State with a lot of time and money and to access intentionally.  Since you ask this question here, you are most likely not.   Most people are simply not worth the risk of inherent exposure.   If you are, then formal assistance - an iOS device is that the tip of what is involved.
