• Sound does not work in my pc portable hp-2000-2d29DX

  My sound doesn't work all of a sudden. When it happened, I was using the sound recorder. When I tried to read one of the sounds he says that something was wrong. Then I tried to watch a video of youtube, but there was no sound.  After that, I tried to play music spotify, but an error of spotify said "there is something wrong with my sound card."

  I found an article on the measures to be taken to restore your sound. I've tried a few things. I checked my device manager and checked the audio driver, and he said it was "in the loop". Also, when I did the audio troubleshoot it says that it could not detect any problems. I tried to test the speakers as well, but tell an error message "could not play the test tone.  I don't know what to do now.

  Try the following.

  Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp64001-64500/sp64443.exe

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  Then, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

  Once the reinstallation is finished, stop the laptop by holding down the left SHIFT you click Shutdown key to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot, then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right click on Realtek HD Audio Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

• Laptop HP 2000: portable HP 2000 passes not to the VGA output video

  Have used my laptop HP 2000 several times to connect to a TV screen using the VGA output jack and connect it to the VGA of my big screen input.  Now, for some reason, there is no video output on the big screen, I tried 3 different cords (VGA VGA) and get nothing on two and on the third, I get a video transfer but it flashes and both on the screen of the laptop and my big screen with only about 1/2 of a photo showing both.  When he does this, I tried the repositioning of the output on the computer output jack and he changed the picture a bit, but could never make it work.  Any ideas?

• 2nd memory slot PC portable HP 2000 bf69WM

  I bought 2 of these laptops for my daughters and they say there are 2 slots for memory.  When I pop the cover on the back, I see that the a slot that is currently busy.  For the life of me I can't find the empty location.  Does anyone have a diagram to show where is this elusive 2nd slot?  I don't think I need to remove the back cover together.

  When I look at the picture in Chapter 3, page 14, I see what seems to be two modules of memory superimposed to another, which may be why it is hard to see the second slot.

  Chapter 4 presents the R & R of the procedures for the memory modules.
