Password C2100 RAC

We have acquired a new C2100, trying to implement the DRAC. The DRAC is set with static IP address, and the web interface does not work. Try root/calvin doesn't seem to work for the connection. Is there another to connect C2100 DRAC? I noticed in the BIOS section remote access is grayed out, and it is disabled.

How to reset it or activate the default root user in the bios?

Hello officeofresearch

The default is root/root on the C2100. If this does not work, then I would recommend started with the BMC BIOS via CTRL + E and restore default. After the reset, you have to reenter the network configuration.

Thank you

No, there is no impact of the change to the password of user oracle/root on the equivalence of the user and RAC.

  • Change password for an Oracle RAC installation account

    All,

I'm not an Oracle DBA, but currently I am asked to fill in until a certified Oracle DBA lights.  I work with MS SQL Server and have servers managed for some time.

That being said, my question is probably a simple.  In the Oracle 11 g RAC 2 installation guide, it tells you * must * use an account that exists on both servers to install.  So far, so good, we have a domain dedicated to this purpose and no other account.  However, due to a recent change in policy, we must also change the password on this account on a regular basis (annual).  My question is, which, if it is, a will this affect on our Oracle RAC database facilities?

If we simply change the password at the domain level, rather than to check the "must change password at next login", is this cause problems with our data?

My inclination is no, we have no problems, because current services 'running' Oracle use the local NETWORK SERVICE account that will not be changed, but confirmation of this would be appreciated.

    Environment:

    Operating system: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP2

    Oracle: 11.2.0.2 and 10.2.0.4

    GRID: 11.2.0.2

    Thank you

Change password of OS isn't a problem for Oracle DB.

I agree to that, but I fear for ssh we need to reconfigure it or any what steps for ssh to manage the new oracle user password? Please guide me for the same thing.

You can change your password of user oracle (sagna), no impact on ssh, SSH does not use the password of the user oracle (sagna).
SHH information are based on hash keys and the password for SSH (own), not password of the Oracle user's operating system.

I can't find my wifi password. I'm with Verizon Wireless network. I tried asking them for her, but I just get a race. When I renewed my contract last year they sent me a free «ellipsis7 Tablet» I asked on the Wi - Fi, and they said it was included. When I tried several times to connect, I failed. Another officer told me that my tablet is the only hotspot that I needed. But DO SOMEONE could tell me how to get my password!

Microsoft is unable to help with this, unfortunately.  Wireless router should have put a password.  If she did not, you should contact the company which built (or take it back to the store that you bought a replacement).

  • Is it safe to store your passwords on your computer

    password storage

    Hi, flight,

'Safe' is one of those terms that means many different things to many different people.

There are degrees of 'safe' almost everything - including the storage of the passwords on your computer.  Here is an article on the subject: http://ask-leo.com/is_it_safe_to_let_my_browser_remember_passwords.html.  Here's another: http://www.howtogeek.com/68231/how-secure-are-your-saved-internet-explorer-passwords/.

As a general rule, I would recommend against it (with a few obvious exceptions, where the computer requires that passwords be saved in order to check what you enter to access something that is protected by password - such as your user name or password if used BIOS - but only in the BIOS) or as Family Safety products where the computer needs to know the password to allow access to the controls to make changes, but it's just how the computer works and not what I think you're talking about.

But I think you're talking about passwords such as those used to access different websites online and maybe some programs to get their much faster by bypassing the need to enter them manually everytime.

If you are lucky enough to never be infected by all that steals information from your computer or invaded by an attacker who uses the saved passwords to access all your private sites like forums and banking sites and sites of credit cards and network access to the server of your company where they can then access this information (maybe even top secret info that could cause great harm) and eventually you put in a lot of trouble), or are victims of a scam where they get access to that information, or that your computer stolen and then pirate to have general access and then have your other passwords are all right there in front of them to use as they please while you're trying to change all (and don't forget that all the and deal with crime at the same time) then maybe you'll be OK.

If you're not lucky, then you left the keys at all just there easy to find.  And if you have decided to show secure and unsecured information because you do not see this notice pop up all the time, you are even riskier.  And I'm considering not even the level of risk you are at that time depending on how well you attend for the security of your system and its connections.   It is not only a matter of turning on the firewall, install a firewall and on the way to the races.  Good security involves much more, and I have no idea how you covered yourself outside storage of passwords on the computer.  There are many factors involved.  Start here for some background information: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx.  For a variety of articles on how to secure your computer, see the following search: http://www.bing.com/search?q=How%20to%20secure%20your%20computer&sc=6-27&form=BSRTLB&pc=BBSR&QS=n.

Bottom line: I know not enough about your configuration to know how well you are fixed in addition (for example, are all your encrypted files, are all programs on your computer completely up-to-date regarding updates, what operating system you have - if XP is already at risk because there are known gaps that can not be patched (never will be) to begin to guess at the level of risk associated with the storage of the passwords (who, whatever happens, will be a further risk - small maybe and maybe not so small).  But no matter what else do you, almost no matter how perfect, you do everything, it is more risky and less secure that not to do so.  The items above should help you decide if you feel comfortable doing so.  Many do and many don't.  I can only offer my personal opinion.  The computer risks, damage if they fall into the wrong hands are all yours to consider and the decision is yours to make.  I can offer no guarantees if you do so, regardless of how you do it.  I can guarantee you that if you do not you will be sure that there is a small risk based on the methods to do so anyway where you chose to not do (for example, a person installs a keylogger or a keylogger software/malware for all single keystrokes you make including what you push ) - but this is something different that you decide to consciously and intentionally or not.

Incidentally, while MSE will help in terms of blocking or removal of malware that could do it on your computer - is not really very effective, if someone happens to you through and in the browser or by other non-malware means as mentioned above.  There is password-management programs out there that claim to help to do and some work better than others - but in the end they too can be overcome, and then someone has the entire list at hand.

I hope this helps.  No I didn't give you a direct Yes or no answer because I can't with the little I know about your situation and even if I knew everything, I could not yet provide a guarantee.  I just conclude by saying that I don't have and never will do it myself and do not configure my clients for that (even if some change my setup once I got out the door) and I was in it for more than 20 years.

    Good luck!

  • Password Subvi with enter/return key control

Hi all, I am a self-taught user of LabVIEW. I hope that someone here can help me with this problem that's driving me crazy.

I'm doing a small password. Only by entering the correct password, a certain function is executed when running. My code was running without problem until I realized that by pressing the 'Return' key in the added password prompt a new line; as a result, the user is forced to use the OK button. I wanted to capture the return key so that it works as a "standard" password prompt

That's what makes me crazy: my code works perfectly if I single step it. If I run the code (CTRL + R) when I press 'Return' the password is not accepted. A probe tells me that the password is always empty in this case. If I use the OK button that everything works.

I've implemented my password Subvi with a small state machine, so that the OK button and the back button run to the same State. In the same way, I grab also ESC, to work as the button cancel, and works smoothly. I also use the feature to discard to abandon the return key so that my rope does not get a new unwanted additional line. I can't possibly think any race condition that can make my code only works when you browse it slowly, step by step.

I'm completely at a loss, and I hope that someone can help me! Thank you!

PS: I have included only the VI because the nature of the state machine I should post a bunch of screenshots. I can do it tomorrow if you need me.

Make a right click on the text field where you enter the password and select "update as you type"

  • How to make the password in the tab control?

    Hello

My version of Labview is 8.6.

I use a "tab control" create a GUI of two tabs. I'm trying to protect one of the tab for only authorized operators. So, what is the best way to do it? I don't actually have a different GUI password, but just a simple pop-up will be great. Alternatively, what else I could use to achieve the protection?

The structure of my program is a selection of cases in a while loop. The while loop is for the detection of key as well as the race continues while the structure of the deal is for the selection of modes.

I will appreciate your advice very much.

    See you soon,.

    Nicholas

Put a chain on the tab indicator, they can always do.  Use and structure of the event in a loop in order to detect the vale change event on this channel.  If the string is the secret password, select the other tab.  If not, disable the other tab.

Initialization code for your program must clear the chain by writing an empty string for the node of this String Value property (signalling).

  • No admin password... repair at a standstill

I tried to repair a hard drive that has kept a loop at startup after post. He would get for posting, you'd hear the beep and then screen turns off and it would start again. I put the XP installation disc in and then when the screen came up, I selected the option "repair". When installation is entered in the command prompt mode, he asked what installation number (I think) and I hit 1 (could have file number, Im not sure), then the command prompt was asked the admin password. I don't remember still using the admin account I have access to all of my user account and have never been invited to use the admin account and I know I never set up a password for it. In any case, at this point I was puzzled because I couldn't go any further. I have supplements a kind of default admin password that is there? I looked in the BIOS and no unit admin password it.

Anyway, it wasn't really important data there so I restarted and when prompted by the installation cd, I chose installation. Then, a message comes on the screen saying it found another version of windows xp there and she had selected in a box. He asked me to select the version in the box and then I chose the repair option. Then he went through and just instaled the version on the disk.

so my questions are; How do you get by the admin password prompt when you do not for the admin account?

Also;  If there is data that I wanted from the disc and it does not start on the desktop, it tried to repair the current xp or boot sector, etc., after the admin password has been given? I take the computer repair & service race and I think that after the admin password prompt, I could have selected fixmbr or fixboot from the command prompt to try to repair the current version. I think so (please tell me if im correct) I could have copied the data I wanted to stay on a USB key or other medium? Pleae let me know... I have apreciate your help. I would like to know for next time if I have a client in the future and I want to do this same type of repair.

    Thank you

If you did not set a password (and many people don't) then you simply press When prompted for the password.

There are a handful of commands that can be run from the Recovery Console without the need to connect to the installation. Fixmbr and Fixboot are two of them.

  • How to connect an expiration date in the ID and the password set cached?

I have windows 2003 race. I would like to know if there is any kind of code and where it must be added have log vpn users in the local network before they user of the laptop to go on the web?

In other words, how I plug in and the expiration date for the caching of id and password?

I'm not sure that's what you want.  You can change your machine such as passwords are cached at all, but then a person could not connect to his laptop unless it is connected to your domain, when it connects (forget not to use your computer on a plane).  If you want to control access to the internet, many businesses use a Proxy Server with a password to regulate the internet connection.  See if these MS articles shall apply:

You are doing a Windows 7 upgrade starting in a race and activation of Vista operating system.

    Try to repair Vista:

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
