Paste the settings to multiple pictures in Flimstrip

HI - this is probably a basic question, but I may have missed the 'how.'

When I'm done setting (in the develop Module) and I click on 'copy', and select the items I want to copy, and then I want to do, is apply (paste) these settings in a number of images.

What I do is do I highlight ("Ctrl + click") several images on the film.  Once these images are the highlight (images of the film highlighted), I then click "Paste" - but the only picture that is changed (applied settings) is the first image of the film.

How can I select the images on the film I want to address (apply the copied settings) and have the settings applied to all the selected images?

I'm sure it's obvious and there must be a way to apply this 'recipe' for all images selected without having to create a collection or one-at-a-time.

It is proably the same problem, but when I want to turn several images (in the library module), if I select in the flimstrip, only the first frame turns when I click on the arrow direction or counter-clock-wise.  Same question?  Is this possible in the film strip?

Thank you

Thank you - you would think by selecting multiple images on the film, you could then paste the settings to those selected.  Guess I had better read on Sync.

Yes, it took me a while to understand that would not work.

And what does Auto Sync?   A lot to learn.

I'm fairly knew LR, too, but I think that this will automatically apply changes to multiple images in real time. So if, for example, you trigger the black slider in 5, he was relieved of 5 in all the pictures you have sync would be.

So, it is not really a grid in the develop Module - you must spend to develop the library, right?

Right

I got a lot of use out of 3 Kelby Lightroom for digital photographers book. There are a lot of hidden things in LR you'll ever figure out on your own.

  • Cannot paste develop settings to multiple images in Lightroom 3

I have just started using Lightroom 3 and am only able to paste develop settings to a single image.  If I select several images it sticks only setting the active image, not all selected images. I never had this problem with Lightroom 2.  Everyone knows about this problem?

When you have multiple images selected to develop, the back button becomes Sync. CTRL-click and it becomes Auto Sync. Now you can paste to multiple images.

In fact, I think a better way to copy parameters between the image to develop is to use synchronization instead of copy/paste, because synchronization is a one step process and copy/paste is a two-step. Go to the image you want to copy to and select all the images you want to copy. Click on synchronize.

  • saving the settings for multiple monitors

I have a laptop connected to an external monitor, and I use screens, as main external and portable like the wide screen display.  Every time I have away and anchor I lose all the display settings and have to redo.  Is there a way to save the day.

    Thank you

    Hi bitosa,

This is more or less normal.  If you ever remove the portable computer from the docking station, he would remember the settings.  But given that you change your primary display to the external monitor (a bit like using only an external and by closing the lid on the laptop), when you restart your computer on the dock, he can't find where to view your desktop so it resets the LCD on the laptop (as opposed to only get a white screen).

The only real solution I found is to use the laptop as the primary display device.  The ability to change the main screen is more designed for desktop systems which are never disconnected from the monitor. Brent

  • How to paste the attributes of a picture to a selection of photos?

When I try to copy attributes (i.e: white balance, etc.) a photo and paste them to a group more photos, attributes are only glued to the (first) picture of the group. The result is the same if I use keyboard shortcuts or menu for copy and paste. Does anyone know how to paste attributes to the entire group in one fell swoop?

You select the image group of the display of grid or wrap at the bottom of the library module?  I found that a lot of operations apply only to the first image in a selection if the selection has been made of the film at the bottom of the library module.  If the image group is selected in the grid view, then the operation applies to all selected images.

    I hope this helps.

  • Save the settings of multiple orders

I have two actions, which will have to be run separately through a batch command. Now, I must constantly change the batch settings if I want to run one or the other action in batch mode. This is because the actions require one of entry. Is it possible I can save two treatment parameters in batches, so I don't have to enter it every time I use one of the actions? Thanks in advance.

You can always add your 'batch' preferences in separate actions.

Edit: IE: record action 'fromFolder_1' compile the action to the batch, and then the last record start the next action. Then, create a second Action: fromFolder_2... and so on.

  • I have a Setup dual monitor.  When I paste develop settings from one image to the other, Lightroom going on the active window.

Strange problem.  5.5 Lightroom.  Windows 8.1. Setting up dual monitor.

I am processing a lot important photos.  I have #1 monitor set as my main to develop the window with #2 monitor configured only to display a larger version of the image, I work with. If I copy the parameters of development out of a picture and try to paste them on another image, Lightroom will increase from the #1 to the monitor #2 monitor in the main window to develop and does not display anything on the monitor #1.

If I then try to paste develop settings on another image on the monitor #2, LR then displays a larger version of the image, I have been working with the #1 monitor.

To work like I want to, I have to constantly drag my develop the window back to the #1 monitor whenever I try to paste the settings on a new image of development. How can I make this stop?

I have similar (but different) problems dual monitor. Just posted this on my thread unanswered. It may be useful:

Blessed excrement! After frustrating months of bi-ecrans LR questions and a month of waiting for an answer on this forum, I called Adobe technical support. Only five minutes before dialing, I had updated my PhotoShop CC application. When the useful Adobe tech classmate is online, I can't reproduce all the issues that had been plaguing me. It is a stretch... a biiiiig stretch... but he is feels/figure/seems that PhotoShop CC update has fixed my bi-ecrans LR problems! I'll keep track of what other programs I use and open while LR - ing to see if they are relaxing, but for now, everything is quite in front of two monitors.

  • Cannot paste settings to multiple Photos of development

I am under Lightroom V3.2 and I have about 100 photos that I took at a concert.  I changed the exposure, brightness, etc and the noise reduction and copied the development parameters.  If I paste the settings on any photo into one, the dough works very well.  However, I would like to paste these settings to all 100 photos at a time.  In the film strip, I select several photos, and little matter how to paste it (usually with the big block at the bottom left of the screen to develop key), the settings are applied to only the selected photo to the right in the film.  I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't get the settings to be applied to multiple photos at the same time.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    John

Hat most likely your problem is due to being in the Loupe. Switch to view grid so using the button paste, otherwise use development settings > paste settings in the film context menu.

  • How can I request a preset to multiple pictures at the same time?

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, because it seems so simple. But I am new to LR and need help.

I want to apply a preset (exmample, a preset that resembles the film) to multiple pictures at the same time. (similar to edit in Photoshop batch) but I want to want the balance of whites etc is necessarily the same thing, of course. Help, please!

Make that 99jon wrote, then select all the thumbnails of the images you want to apply a preset. (ctrl + click is sometimes a bit boring to select different in the grid images when browsing a large number of them. consider using the spray can and apply a label of color to the images you want brand. and then filter for color you "pulverized").

After selection there is no need to switch to the module development for appl a saved preset. In the library module go to quickly develop Panel and select the preset from the "Preset" drop saved.

Make sure that the preset affect only the properties you want to change. If the white balance must remain intact, then check the box for the white power off balance when you save a preset.

  • copy and paste the table data

    Hi all

I'm trying to convert some WinHelp files old HTMLHelp format. All files have as subjects with the same tables of three columns.

Part of the done conversion tables look more "pretty", then we have a new scheme of formatting of table together upwards in a model of .htt file.

It is, I can copy the new table and its formatting in my editor WYSIWYG RoboHelp... but to transfer DATA from the old table, I have to cut and paste data from each cell individually. I can just select the table of old (and its data) "in mass" and paste the data into the new table snazzy. Because the tables have three columns and up to 30 lines, it can become quite painful, cut and paste data from each cell in the corresponding cell in the new table.

Is it possible to make this process faster? Ideally, I'd like to just reduce the process steps:

    (1) copy a blank version of the table of new, prettier in RoboHelp WYSIWYG.
    (2) cut out of the old table data.
    (3) paste the data into the new table.

I hope I do my question clearly...

    Thanks in advance!
    Dave

Colum, I think that his anxiety is caused by not being not able to copy/paste the content in multiple cells, you can in Word.

Unfortunately, Dave, that is not possible...

LiveCycle ES4. I am trying to move a picture online with a text box to create a header.  I had to create a subform that flows to generate multiple pages of text.  After changing the settings, it seems that I can't place the images and the text I would like.  I tried moving them to the bottom, but does not work.  Is there a way to encapsulate the images so that they can be places as much as I want?

Select your photo and text inside the subform flowed. Right-click and select wrap in subform do the positioned Subform subform. This will allow you to move objects in this subform positioned the way you like them.

  • I deleted my pictures and videos to free up space on my iPhone 6, but the settings and iTunes still say that I've not left storage. Help, please.

    Hello

I have an iPhone 6 and uses iOS 9.3.2,and I recently deleted all my pictures and videos to free up space, "Manage the storage" in still however said circles I 23.4 GB of photos/videos like iTunes when I connect my iPhone to my Mac. I deleted my recently deleted folder and follow the instructions of a guy showing a year, which suggests to set my phone date about two years back and deleting the photos recently deleted the file and both of these solutions do not work. I have reset my phone (home and power button operation / stop) and also, it does not work. I don't want to wipe my phone and restore it if possible, but it's the only option I can think of next.

Are there other solutions before I try this?

    Thanks in advnace

    Ben

    Hey Ben,

Thanks for stopping by the communities Support from Apple! Looks like you are trying to free up space on your iPhone by deleting all the photos and videos, and you still see 23.4 GB absorbed by these files. You have already made sure to empty your recently deleted album, fix the date of return on your phone and performed a hard reset on your device. You did an excellent job so far, and I'll be happy to give you some ideas to move forward from here.

Before diving into other troubleshooting procedures, it would be useful to ensure that you have a recent backup of your iPhone is available. This will help us ensure that all your important data is stored safely for you. Here is an article with information on how to backup your device:

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once it is in place, I recommend you to reset the settings on your phone. This is not the impact of your personal data, but you will have to perhaps adjust the user specific settings, but also re - enter passwords and Wi - Fi networks. To complete this step, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. When you restart your phone, check if the local storage on your phone has updated to reflect the changes you did related to your photos and videos.

Beyond that, you want to look at your phone erase and reset to the factory settings. It is possible that some kind of software corruption causes the divergence of storage that you are experiencing. Set up your phone as a new device via iTunes install a new copy of iOS and also to exclude the corrupted files, etc. in your user data. This is a resource for this process:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

For later use, it may be useful to use iCloud photo library to transfer and store your photos. There is a feature that allows you to optimize the storage on your iPhone so that your photos and your videos do not have as much local storage space. This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Why the rejection of multiple photos doesn't work anymore when you change pictures?

Why the rejection of multiple photos doesn't work anymore when you change pictures? Does anyone else have this problem? It works on my other Mac but just stop working on my computer laptop pro, I have the latest OS and it worked until a few weeks ago. Thanks for any help!

Selection of several photos at once enter "9" to reject all still works them for me in Aperture 3.6 on El Capitan.

Have you tested, if the problem occurs only in an Aperture library or libraries opening?

Create a new Aperture library to test and see rejection, so it works.

If it does not work in a new library either, I got trash Aperture preferences.

In preferences file is now in the container folder in the user's library.

    Try this:

    • Leave the opening runs.
    • Then open your user library and delete the folder complete ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
    • and the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist file

Your user library can still be hidden. To reveal the hidden user library:

    • Bring the Finder to the front by clicking on the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
    • Select your folder user/home (with the House icon in the side bar of the Finder)
    • With this window in the Finder in the front window, press the ⌘J key combination to bring up the display options.
    • In the view options panel allow you to "show the library folder. That will make your visible user library folder in your folder.
    • Open your folder, then the library folder, then the containers.
    • Move the entire folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture on your desktop. Move the entire folder, not just the content.
    • Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist as well.

Now, restart the Mac, start Aperture and try see your book.  If all goes well, delete the folder on the desktop.
