Path text Photoshop to illustrator
Hello everyone
I have a problem. I have a Photoshop file with layers of text, 50. They are different to the font size and font family. Is there a way to convert Illustrator text layers? Otherwise, I must write to all new senteces in Illustrator. It will take a few hours :/ The thing is I want to have all the layers separate in illustrator text so that I can fix a replace them and so on.
Thanks in advance!
No problem as I found it. Completely stupid, but I was able to load the psd file into illustrator ofcourse

Export of several paths from photoshop to several illustrator files
Hello
I have a task that I often repeat, and I know that there should be a way to write a script for the same photoshop thing. But my level of technology in scripts is zero and I was hoping that someone could help me?
Background: I am an artist and convert image Posterization files paths to feed a laser CNC cutter. The image is broken down into separate layers (which are glued on paper), and each layer is converted to describe paths (which needs to be cut by the machine). for each image that I do there are about 3-8 paths that I create, each the name of a particular name. Then I manually export each path one to an illustrator file (export > traces to Illustrator), the files are named with a prefix_ < the path name >.
Sometimes one large image is made upwards of 25 small sections (each section is a separate photoshop file) each with 3-8 paths and it's all of them adds up to a lot of manual work each time.
is it possible to write a script that will export each individual path from phtoshop file to an illustrator file separated with the name prefix_ < path name > in a given directory (or on the desktop if that is too complicated a foler)?
I searched the web but have not found a result that meets this particular need. And as I mentioned my knowledge scripts is not good enough to create/change myself.
Thanks in advance...
Avinash,
I think Photoshop is not the best tool for your job. I would use Adobe Illustrator,
Vectorization or Trace of Image (since CS6).
The vectorization of a raster image is entirely under control many parameters. Export to EPS
shows in blocks of text like this file:
991.532 1.85205 MB
993.008 1.61035 992,592 3.26025 992,643 4.44482 cv
991.515 4.21387 990,75 3.62207 990,791 2.22217 cv
991.221 2.28271 991,45 2.14063 991.532 1.85205 cv
CP
. 031373.65098.501961 0 CMYK
EFMO = moveto
CV = curveto (Bezier curve)
CP = closepath
CMYK color =
EF = eofill (fill mode)
Occasionally, for straight lines:
Li = lineto
Ignoring the color and fill mode, it should be 'simple' extract the Bézier path information.
Why is it necessary to separate all these paths in single files?
Laser cutting can be controlled for all the work in a stream, because button
and closepath do not correspond to the "move without cutting" and "end of cut this way.
Of course I am lack of knowledge of your actual task. Please consider my contribution
as a suggestion for an alternative.

Since last week, when I select the text in photoshop and illustrator or code in dreamweaver, it is deleted. I updated all the apps and uninstalled and re-installed dreamweaver, but nothing seems to work. Is it a question of application or a mac problem? Its only happens with adobe products.
It resembles what happens as speech recognition & dictation has been activated. So I can keep my incredibly large bracelets for now.

Is it possible to create a text on a curve path in Photoshop 6.0 (Windows)?
Hello
I'm new to Photoshop and Yes... I use a very old version of Photoshop (i.e. Photoshop 6.0).
I wanted to know:
If it is possible to create a text on a curve path in Photoshop 6.0 (Windows)? If so, how?
Note that I don't want to create wraped text (using the Arc etc..).
Specifically, I want to type text along the bottom of a circular image.
I checked the various blogs that explain how do to the newer versions (or MAC version) Photoshop.
I use the version of Windows.
Thank you... I appreciate all the help!
Looks like you're out of luck. Text on a path arrived with CS (Photoshop 8)
http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop_version_history
I doubt anyone here will be able to test it with such an old version, but the things that come to mind create each letter on its own layer of text and using the transformation that is free to rotate and position. Something else will produce bad bad results - unless someone else has a better idea.

Photoshop or Illustrator or both?
I'm fairly new Adobe software and I am trying to create an impression which will include scanned watercolors PNG images. I then add text. The final print must be a JPEG or PDF file sizes. I read that Illustrator is better for creating text, but since I use PNG images and the final piece should be JPEG, should I create just the whole thing in Photoshop or a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator? Thank you.
If you're just adding text. PS is discovered. It doesn't have some issues with some paragraph styles: balls etc, but it can be bypassed.

Hello. I have a big problem. I have Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator CS4 and Flash CS5 programs. I bought the programs a few years ago and used on my Mac with version 10.6.8. Now, I have a MacBook with the latest version 10.11. I wanted to copy the programs on my MacBook to work also on this computer. I copied the folder with the programs 'Programs' and the folder of the "Library / Application Support / Adobe" on my USB key and pulled on the MacBook in the program folder and the folder of Adobe. Then I restarted the computer. When I wanted to start a program, I got with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash, the error 6 error message. For Indesign: "Adobe ID missing required files please reinstall missing file / Library / Application Support / Adobe / support /... / ROMAN." TXT ".» But on my old computer I could not find a record of support for the Type in the path to the Library / Application Support / Adobe. And I don't know what I have to do because of error 6. Can someone help me please? Thank you very much.
Avoid copying files from one computer to the other. It won't work. You run out of hidden files scattered around the hard drive and interrupt the licensing mechanism.
Uninstall, run the cleanup tool.
Reinstall from scratch and enter your serial number.

I need to create story boards for a short film I do, should I use Photoshop or Illustrator to draw.
Herschel,
Photoshop is basically graphics raster, essentially padding in pixels, depending on the resolution.
Illy is basically for some vector illustrations, essentially to create paths/objects based on anchor Points and handles, resulting in a smooth work no matter the size/zoom level.
Each has of the other elements.
Many work in one or the other or both, depending on the task, normally from the vector illustration to Illy and adding a finishing touch in Photoshop.

I'm wasting time having to put my image in Illustrator, then manually align the clipping path. You used to be able to save a file with a clipping path an EPS in photoshop, select "maintain vector data", place it in illustrator and cmd-press Y to see the clipping path. I need the image and clipping in Illustrator and image path is too complex to create a mask of Illustrator. I tried to save it as an EPS but "retain vector data" is gray.
Save a PSD. If you need access to the path, then incorporate him (the image in Illustrator).
If you just want to use the path for cutting, set it as a clipping path in Photoshop.

error message color when opening a file in photoshop to Illustrator
I have a picture of the airport, with a sky blue etc. I want to make all one color as a background image. I want the background of the photo to be light orange wit the building to be darker orange. Is it possible to do this in Illustrator? To try background and foreground of different colors or do, I do in Photoshop? How can I fill all the colors in the picture for only two colors? This picture is intact.
I also have a photo that's photoshop effects. When I open it in Illustrator, I get an error message. It says "incorporated the document color profile does not match the current CMYK working space. The current CMYK color management policy is to dispose of the profiels which do not correspond to the workspace.
I have the beginning of a web page in my workspace. With this picture, I think that I'm opening in a separate page, but it won't let me. I'll probably use the untouched photo, but I'm curious as to why its gives me the message. My workspace must be web safe RGB colors. This is - why it doesn't let me open the photoshop CMYK file? I guess there unsecured web colors, but my thought was to change in all the colors of the web sure but maybe it's much too hard in Illustrator?
Thankx,
You can color a grayscale tiff in Illustrator by simply selecting and then selecting a color that you want.
I think that if these are two tone and you want really two different oranges, you can cut the building is in
Photoshop or Illustrator and place it above the other.I would normally do a duo, but who would mix the two colors.
So that's how I would go to this subject in Illustrator
1 import the image in tiff format grayscale or import it and convert it to a range of gray ranging in Edition > change the colors > convert to grayscale
2. then, select the background color.
3. then copy the picture and paste in front command C and F of order and select the dark orange color
4. with the pen tool create a one way which is exactly the shape of the building. Make sure that it is a closed path.
5. Select the path and the image of the high that you paste in front.
6. then go to object > Clipping Path > make
7 I would like to then combine the two
with this method, you are good with the pen tool, but this is true of the Illustrator in general.
now with the CMYK image is what allows you to place it but simply alerts you to the current conversion.
What you need to do is select your Photoshop and Illustrator color in sRGB settings since this is probably the space desired.
and convert CMYK to RGB file which is what you should have done in the first place.
So to open it I Photoshop convert to sRGB and replace it in Illustrator.
Everything should be good.

Fireworks, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Hello
I don't know whether to show this in the Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator forums or. Horrible design of two other forums and the fact that no matter how it was referenced, I could not find a button to add a topic (and Yes, I was connected) brought me here.
The new replacement for Studio, CS3 Web Premium suite includes Photoshop and Illustrator. I know that both Fireworks and Illustrator for vector graphics, but other then that, what is the difference between the three? Why should I use all three when I could get with one - is there a specific use for each? Who could be better to create a Web site model?
Thank you
Dylan
PS: Has there created tutorials on the software suite available somewhere, as the Studio explores those Adobe?Yes, the old Adobe forums are pretty bad, aren't they? :) These forums are quite slow, but - another reason some people prefer to use the sync all newsgroups around instead.
No problem to post here, just don't be surprised if everyone says fire Fireworks is the best. ;) In fact, each tool is unique, the best at what they do.
Everybody will tell you this, but it's really true: the best way is to download the trial of three and give them a spin. What kind of things you want to do? Choose something and try to do it in three, you will know what is best for the task quite quickly. Do not throw just a few random shapes and text around, that won't really do you give a good idea of how a real project would come down for you. Choose a practical project and do in each of the three.
That being said, here is a summary of all three, in my opinion:
Illustrator: Vector application, little or no Advanced frame mounting bracket. Curve learning of the powerful but very high for most people. Illustrator is printing and is rarely used for the work of the web, if you can. It has many features specific impression which are meaningless for the web and sometimes confusing and misleading for web designers.
Photoshop: Advanced raster, vector editing program little support (sometimes critical as having no "real" vector support). Powerful image manipulation capabilities, has an average learning curve, but many gaps of efficiency according to me, making it frustrating for many beginners. Photoshop was originally for printing (and still is) but has developed some decent web features oriented (export, slices, etc.). However, it's dueling print/web feature set can get in the way both when you are dealing with a medium or the other.
Fireworks: hybrid vector and raster Editor, exclusively for web design (not printed). All the basic features of edition of vector and raster editing combined in a very coherent, transparent environment, but found the more advanced features of vector in Illustrator or more advanced raster in Photoshop. Pretty easy learning curve. Fireworks is designed specifically for the web and has been since the beginning, has so many features focused on the web, making very targeted for web design and overall very intuitive for most web designers. For example, Fireworks is the only application of the three that has support for multi-page documents, which is really useful for web design.
Hope that helps! I am sure that you will get more answers. :)

No, the photography Plan does not include the other siftware and you cannot switch to Lightroom for Illustrator. You need to get the full plan or two separate plans.
