  And what could do you exactly? Muse creates web pages, not content from the traces. You simply can not arbitrarily cut, remove, merge and intersect content because a browser has no way to make it actually.

  I am trying to create a design. I tried to use the pathfinder tool but I can't seem to make it work.  Here's the front image and what I have I want essentially it looks like in the end. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help you.

  

  I assume that you have 3 forms. A blue box, a curved rectangle and a number 5.

  (1) move the blue box aside for a little while.

  (2) transforming the curved rectangle and 5 in outline. Give it a fill and a stroke.

  (3) wear the '5' contour on the front with the curved rectangle behind.

  (4) selection box and then, Pathfinder-> less first plan.

  You should now have the shape you want and you can put it on the blue box.

• Cut the text from the image using the Pathfinder tool

  Hi all

  I'm cutting text from an image in Illustrator. I use the version on a Dell XPS 12 CS6.

  I have scoured the internet for instructions and have tried everything, but when I followed the same steps in Illustrator I don't get my desired result. I created the contours for the text, so that the image and text are on the same layer, grouped (and dissociated) and then I tried all the options in the pathfinder, nothing helps. I've done it before with an image, but for some reason can not get it to work this time.

  I even tried to make the image in a clipping mask, so it would be a 'form' instead of 'image', but that didn't do anything either.

  If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it that I spent hours trying to figure this out!

  Pathfinder will not work with a path and a picture.

  Instead, put your text above the image (it can be the living text), select both.

  You can then use the button do mask in the transparency to cut your text on the image palette.

  Try to go to the drop-down list of window in the app bar that starts with Illustrator and in the drop-down list, make sure you that Pathfinder is checked. If it does not try to reset the window > workspace to the essential.

  I have some problems with drawing in Illustrator.

  I created an illustration where the shape is black and the details inside are drawn with white lines.

  However, I want my final artwork to be just black (IE white lines will be transformed in the form of "blank lines" using pathfinder > tool fracture).

  After using the pathfinder, it seems that my lines are now much thinner, as well when displayed on the screen and when

  print. Even if I try to do the original much thicker white lines, (like twice as big) once I use the pathfinder

  It still seems too thin, when printing and also when zoomed out on the screen.

  Anyone has an idea how to keep the same exact thickness before and after removing the white lines

  the black shape?

  Suddenly, I realized that your external path can have a stroke. You can remove that before using the trace of pathfinder solutions, or you can use a mask opacity as follows:

  (1) select all the lines, which can be traced or exposed and group together them.

  (2) to select the entire document and in the transparency palette flyout click the with unchecked Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked.

• Form loses color when I use Pathfinder > Exclude to cut a hole

  I'm just following some instructions on how to cut a hole in a circle transparent, so that the bottom is visible through the hole with the help of Illustrator (CS5).

  This is my starting point. All backgrounds are disassociated from the individual objects, and all are a circle colored with a small white circle on top.

  

  I then selects the white circle (the circle centre is white smaller circles on top one more large colorful circle) and the underlying green circle thus:

  

  I then use the Pathfinder tool and exclude according to the instructions, but it happens:

  

  Any ideas why the color disappeared rather than leave a green hoop with no way?

  If I do this on a clean game of darts, by creating a large green circle, then a small white on top and then Pathfinder / Exclude, it works fine. The green circle now has a hole.

  I discovered the solution of messing around with the tools of Pathfinder and has decided to leave this place in case someone else has the problem.

  Rather than use Pathfinder > exclude following the instructions, I used Pathfinder > less prominent.  This example uses the foreground object (if you have selected more than one object (i.e. two circles bunk in my example) like a strawberry and leaves behind a transparent hole.)

  The circles are now contours (I know I could have created circles thick contours in the first place, but I inherited file .ai Adobe Stock and therefore had to work with what I had).

  Hope this helps others.

• Pathfinder and the path of the object/questions

  I downloaded the new application Illustrator Friday - Monday now and the Pathfinder tool is in every way! I use this tool every week and have done for many years. Expansion of the vectors (contour line) and cutting shapes (Pathfinder) creates new and exciting forms but none that I'm after, or must happen!

  All the fixes on the horizon... So hope I am finalizing a logotype and creates headaches for me.

  I'm not sure what you're talking about without seeing examples, but it looks like snap to grid of pixels is the cause of the problems.

  Select your artwork and check these options (and disable them).

  

• Using Pathfinder w / envelope distort

  How can I convert a distorted image of the envelope in a shape or image that will allow me to use the pathfinder tool. I am wanting to place an image on time and run 'less before.' On the right is what I'm trying to accomplish on the left, but it is not allowing me with envelope distort the image. Thank you!!

  You can only select both and use the transparency palette (launcher) option a with Clip opacity mask and mask Invert unchecked.

  I am doing a leaf. I followed this tutorial:

  At approximately 02:40 in the video, she tries to use the pen and pathfinder tool--> fracture to a line in the middle. When I do the same thing as what is happening:

  

  As you can see it the leaf tip doesn't look so good. It's the best result I got after several attempts at this. It is literally impossible for me to use split the way it does without deforming the shape of the leaf.

  Exactly how to fix this?

• Can I get lines painted in Illustrator using pathfinder?

  It is a question of a total novice with Illustrator but I was googling like crazy without result, so any help would be appreciated!

  I'm experimenting with creating seamless models, using forms. I know how to crop shapes by using the pathfinder tool.

  I can do this by placing the different shapes on a square. I then glue a square of the same size in front of all objects, select all then and use the crop to scout tool.

  However if I try to use it with painted lines (or lines created with the online tool or the pen tool) it will not work.

  Is there a way to do it, or am I missing something very obvious? Thank you to everyone who takes the time to answer

  You must not cut the objects you put into a shade of reason. Simply put an invisible rectangle in the back. But in case you want to cut, first expand appearance.

• Question of Pathfinder

  creating the effect of a roll of paper with her conduct.

  Created the rectangle at the bottom end and placed on top of that a rectangle to "simulate a paper roll.

  I chose thje rectangle used effect - free deform and listening to the rectangle forms shaped to give the effect I wanted.

  I then selected the two parties and used the pathfinder tool to unite (also tried fusion), but when applied my rhomboid returned to a square.

  Did I miss a step?

  Either expand the appearance of the rhomboid in the menu object, then use the Pathfinder. Or use the Pathfinder effects in the effect menu.

• PROBLEM OF PATHFINDER IN CS5

  HI guys

  Im trying to use the pathfinder tool - intersect in illustrator cs5 but does not work. I get the following message

  "The filter didn't produce any results. Please select two paths that overlap. »

  and what I'm doing: until I hit "INTERSECT" of the pathfinder tool I select two objects (type and plane) both in the same layer and then press on intersect.

  Anyone know what could be?

  You cannot use Scout direct type.

  Either you convert type to paths or you apply a shape rather mode by pressing ALT when you click intersect

• PathFinder and GetPluginArtResultArt

  Someone could give me information on pathfinder and how this tool works!

  I'm trying to export the art of paths result after having to join them with pathfinder (without Expand).

  The object is a kPluginArt. I don't care Chronicles, so I get the ResultGroup

  and then make a treewalk to export every child of this group. The structure is correct, but the railways have no style.

  (No terms, no fill).

  If I use the Warp tool on paths, the object will be a kPluginArt. If I do the same operations as explained above, this

  will be work.path of the group have the style.

  So, what is the difference between these plugins?

  And what I could do to get back the style of resultArt' pathfinder tool paths.

  What are the properties of the Group result in the example of pathfinder? You have the information of path indicating the path, but not for its parent company. Alternatively, I would check the PluginArt itself. You can paste these properties fill & stroke on the more things (even the layers I think!) and it trickles down. If his record with these colors, something the race & fill set, you just get art parents of parents until what you discover that.

• Knife will not divide an object

  I have imported a png file and can not divide the different images in the file out of the other.  I tried the knife tool, the pathfinder tool, all without success. I wonder if I first change the file itself.  I like to shoot the green image in a separate object.  Thank you in advance.

  Illy (description of work Adobe Illustrator) sees just like clusters of pixels of raster images.

  And each image is just a bunch of pixels, regardless of how things look.

  You can cut the picture by cropping in Photoshop (get a copy of the image around the green part) and another around the red part.

  Or you can let Illy do it in a corresponding manner with the dirty destructive work done on two copies:

  (1) create a path where you want to crop the image (including the relevant part);

  (2) select the two path and image and Ctrl + 7 (object > clipping mask > make);

  (3) in the drop-down list the palette/Panel transparency list select everything except Normal (Multiply is fine; this step may not be necessary in your version, you can try without him).

  (4) object > flatten transparency, just keep the defaults including 100% vector.

  (5) thrill (optional, unless that inevitable).

  This will crop the image to the (the bounding box of the) Clipping Path.

  Other, and mentioned tools only work on traces objects.
