Paths in a build vs not build

I use variables shared in a projector to run my network code, but cannot deploy the variables on a time machine execution.  I looked at a few threads, I could find on the subject and still not able to find a solution.  I have attached my Project Explorer window.  I would like to know the location of the Objects.lvlib of the host regarding the State Machine GUI.vi

On my dev machine is the relationship... / libraries/objects/host Objects.lvlib host, if that helps anything.

I tried the path, stripping stripping the way twice, add anything all the way up to just the .lvlib part.  No results.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hold on you have to be careful here. See if you have followed these steps, since that's where I used to fall initially.

To use a shared variable of the network in a compiled executable, it must first deploy the shared variables before they are to be used in the program. "When you create a new application (EXE), according to the specifications of construction" Application (exe) "source files, add your highest level VI as the VI to start and then add all the libraries that contain variables from shared network to the list of always include (previously Support files).  In addition, be sure to set the Destination of the library (s) to be Support directory in the category of settings of the Source file.

Use the entry path of the library to invoke node to point to the library (s) containing your shared variables. If the library (s) have been included in the directory of the executable support, as indicated above, the (s) library will be copied to the folder data the executable.  The point of the entry path to the (s) library.

How can I deploy network static Variables from a compiled executable?

If you have questions, after return.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. is the computer is joined to the domain controller?

    You can not start any application on a client computer that is joined to the domain controller. When you try to start this type of application, you receive an error message similar to the following:
    "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    This can also occur if the user account is damaged. If the computer is not connected to a domain controller, try the following steps.
    1. connect to another user account and create a new user account to fix the damaged user account.

  • Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not permissions to access you these items.

    I have this same problem as many others but mine is when I try to use a pdf document, such as the filing of a form on the internet or make changes to a pdf form saved on my computer.  I tried the suggestions on other positions, which one off my third-party anti-virus, which is Kaspersky.  None of these things helped my situation.  I always get the message when I click on a field in the pdf document that I should be able to change.  I use Windows 8.  The message that I get whenever I click on the pdf file is: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not permissions to access you these items.

    Thanks in advance for helping me solve this problem.  I was able to access fields on the PDF under Windows 7 on another computer.

  • Build the path for a reason any not giving "a path".

    So I have a path that leads to a directory that is already created and a string constant and combine them with the build path function VI to return a full path, to move to some write to file function. It works very well, as seen in the half top of diagram this picture (with test.txt) block:

    But I want to make each file named after the date and time, as you can see I did in the bottom half of the diagram above black. You can see that the file name it produces looks pretty simple for me.

    Now, I try to connect the output from the bottom to the top, instead of test.txt:

    And now instead of writing to the file, it appears with a dialog window asking the name of the file to use for me. I have reviewed the documentation for function that I convey my path of the file (write on the file of spreadsheet VI), and he says:

    file path is the path name of the file. If file path is empty (default) or is , the VI displays a dialog box from which you can select a file. Error 43 occurs if you cancel the dialog box.

    Well, this is probably what is happening here, I guess. But why build it a path function, is not a way back?

    If you go to the manual to build a path, it is said:

    name or relative path is the new path component appended to base path. If name or relative path is an empty string or an invalid path, this function sets appended path to . If base path is an empty path then name or relative path must be an absolute path. This function then sets appended path to the absolute path in name or relative path.

    Yet, he does not say is what a path not valid. I can't imagine why it is not, as that looks really useful for a manual to have, but good information. Googling "labview build an invalid path" returns first page manual that I've just referenced and then this page, but everything seems about invalid paths is that they can't have slashes, which is not my example.

    I apologize if I am missing something obvious, but it is anywhere, or you're just supposed to guess? I guess it's possible that it is more generally known of Labview that I'll go with more experience, but it still seems that would not hurt to have right on the page. I tried a few obvious things such as the removal of spaces of my date, but no luck.

    Thank you!

    A file name cannot contain colon ': '.

    For example, use windows Explorer and try to change a file name by inserting a ': ', this is what you would see.

    PK,

    You can have a look for the mask of clipping or other means to disguise the work. You can start looking at the layers palette/Panel (expand as needed).

    Assuming that we are talking not only about view > Show Bounding Box (or Show Edges).

  • Flight path images w hotspots do not work in firefox?

    I'm currently building a navigation bar in firefox which will remain at the top of the screen, centered, covering other content if I scroll down (this part I was successful). The plan is to have the reversal of images which when hovered over to display the lines of text which would have so many access points to connect these areas to other pages.

    All this seems to work perfectly in IE9 (although there are a few small blue lines between the images that i have no idea of the cause), but in firefox, I had absolutely no luck getting either the background to div-color rgba and hot spots seem to cause the next image to be moved on the line below.

    the ccs code for the nav bar div is:

    {.header_float}

    min-width: 900px;

    height: 100px;

    Width: 100%;

    position: fixed;

    margin: 0 auto;

    background-color: rgba (51,51,51,.65);

    }

    the site with the hotspots is located at:

    and without to:

    stuchfield.com/about_nm.htm

    If anyone could help ID really appreciate it as it has been frustrating me for the last few hours!

    Thank you

    Sandy

    Sorry to say this, but I think it is a very bad idea to use image maps for navigation.  They are so reprisé labor-intensive to update more later.  And they are not web friendly.

    Use a CSS menu system.  CSS style menus are web friendly and easy for people who rely on screen readers & translators to navigate your site.

    The example works. I thing that I understand the problem.

    I go to the LaunchExecutable is not the right path of the exe. I pass java-jar + path of the exe path to XML format. All LaunchExecutableEx knows is that he has launched java-jar (where it returns 0). Path to the java executable is not relevant to LaunchExecutableEx.

    I guess I'll have to do something else before the call to LaunchExecutableEx to verify executable java and XML are present.

  • Cannot find the specified device, path, or file. May not be the appropriate permissions for access you.

    Hey everybody,

    I was running Windows vista professional for more than 2 years yesterday, I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled vista prof. (entirely new, different CD key). Everything works very well excenp for one thing - I had saved some of the programs and files on my external hardrive before formatting my laptop. Now, when I try to access these files I get the following msg-"cannot find the specified device, path, or file." You don't have permission to access them. ".
    I am logged in as administrator.

    Help, please. I reallly need the files.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Jihirshu,

    It looks like permissions.

    Try this on one of the files on the disk to see if it allows you to copy the files.

    1 right click on the file, then select Properties
    2. click on the Security tab
    3. click on change, in the name box, type "Everyone".
    4. in the boxes next to the permissions below, put 'Total control' for everyone
    5. click OK, and then close the dialog boxes
    6. try to copy the file that you just modified.

    If the works above, you must change the permissions on all the files you want to copy.  Normally, you can just highlight all the and follow the steps above to change the permissions on all files at the same time.

  • Files or folders is not displayed when drive accessible via the path UNC path (or mapped drive) and not recorded in the field

    We have some users who are mobile and authentication of field across from site to site VPN not success not always.  For this reason, I give UNC paths for a shortcut or 'network' and otherwise mapped through a script when the map includes, for example:

    NET use S: \\10.10.22.11\Sharename / persistent: no password/User: domain\username

    This always gives the user access to actions you want outside of the domain.

    However, there are times where a folder or file saved from within the domain is not accessible to the remote user via the link above.

    I evaluated generally it was a matter of time and the spread and if I navigate from a performed computer and use the full path with the file name, the file opens. If, however, no such full path with the file name is used, the files or folders remain invisible.

    Since it is intermittent, I'm afraid, that I have little additional information.

    My hope is it's the common or at least known and there is something I can do to alleviate the problem.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.
    The description of the problem, I see that you are unable to install World of Warcraft and error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have appropriate permission to access the item".»

    This problem may occur if you do not have permissions for the file or the location of the file, if the file is located on a site that is not accessible at the moment as a network location or an external drive that is not currently connected to the computer or your antivirus software may block the file.

    Don't worry; Let's try a few steps that will help you solve the problem.
