Pause between tracks when burning CD using WMP.

When I burn a CD that contains songs that flow into each other (ie: live music), I noticed a short pause between tracks.  How can I avoid this?

Hi twozillas,

Some CD, when some of their songs are ripped, can include one or more seconds of silence in the music file ripped after the end of the music. Other CD may include gaps of silence at the beginning of some songs. Many CD marks the beginning and the end of the songs with the introduction and the end of his audible on each track. The Player automatically adds a gap of two seconds between songs when burning audio CDs to avoid the next song begins immediately after the end of the previous song. Gaps of silence extra included in the CDS ripped music files can create, inconsistent pauses between songs. Since the pause of two seconds of the Player cannot be disabled, the only way to solve this problem is to use an audio file editor to remove the gaps of silence in the recordings of the song themselves.

  • Pause between tracks?

In ripping a song from a CD in a music folder, the silence before the next song is included in the duration of the recording. For example, a record of 03:36 length is 4 seconds. of silence before the start of the next track. If the length of this recording (TRACK 1) is presented as 03:40 in the list of songs that I'm about to burn it to a CD. If I choose to have a pause of 2 seconds between tracks on the CD I want to burn, it will be the pause between TRACK 1 and TRACK 2 2 dry. or dry 6. ? In other words, Windows Media Player does not remove silence at the end of the runway before inserting the 2s pause?

As far as I know, he burns the track as it is. I do not use to rip like, well well, is just not very well. There are some freeware like AudioGrabber.

If she add seconds to the beginning of the track (or finish) then the easiest thing is to use an audio editor like Audacity (once again, freeware) to cut the silence off the beaten. That's how I do it, and at the same time you can "normalize" all tracks so that one is not too strong compared to others.

    Hi jason.sloan,.

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

In response to your question, I'll move this to the Group of sounds and multimedia.  It is in relation to WMP so I this redirects to this community forum to have more responses from the community and MVP who review these groups of the forum.

Just to give you an overview, WMP has 2 second gap between songs indicating the change of track.  If this delay wasn't the jump track would lead you at the end of the recording.

There is a way to edit this shift, however, it is usually something that is sought in order to maintain differences in song and be able to distinguish between the pieces of music.

I havd had problems with ripping out the sermons of a CD. Once ripped off I then burn the CD. Reading is where I hit problems. The tracks are torn off individually and in reading, there is a pause between each track, and sometimes the last few tracks are missing, although there is enough space left on the CD.

    Hi Hazel75,

Welcome to the Microsoft community. According to the description of the problem, there is a pause between the music tracks and the last few tracks are missing who are recently burned to a blank CD. Provide the following information:

    ·         What version of the operating system is installed on the computer?

    ·         You get the error message? If Yes, what is the exact error message?

  • unknown problem using WMP 12 no sound when played the song in the folder but has sound when he played in the player

    Hi all

I have a weird problem using WMP (Windows Media Player v12).  When I double-click a song of in my library, the trail seems to play, but didn't have all the sounds.

However, if I hover over the same path and then click Preview, the pop-up, the track plays with sound.

When the track (s) do not play, all indications show the way to correctly play through of progress ' Now Playing ' screen, but no sound.

In the past, when I clicked on any MP3 file, he would play using WMP.  Now, when I click on an MP3 file, it brings just "Now Playing" and looks LIKE he plays, but no sound.

I have looked & looked for clues as to why it may be of WMP, but I can't understand the problem.  I also searched the Web for 'day' drivers in the Win System Manager, but Win says that pilots are "up to date".

I have rebuilt the DB Library (twice) by removing the DB files in from WMP to a procedure in a WMP support forum. I also went to check the audio device in Device Mgr Win (mine is one on one). Everything seemed ok.  I also changed the devices to "Win by default" to what I think my onboard audio device is called.  I thought that that can do, but it's not.

I was struggling with this since the day of the year.  Please help me solve this problem!

    Hi, Pie,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Appreciate your efforts to try to resolve the problem that you have set so far. I guess that is not a problem with the driver that ultimately, the songs are playable using the media player. It could be a corrupted in Windows Media Player framework that is causing the problem. Let's run the Windows Media Player troubleshooting utility that resets all parameters to the player. Check out the link to do so:

  • Much more time gap between tracks using the latest firmware.

Everyone has noticed there is now a gap of 5 or 6 seconds between tracks because they have updated their firmware to the latest version? It was about 1 second.

Is it just me or is this a known problem? If the latter is their a workaround?

Thank you very much in anticipation.

It's just you. Format you your memory internal after the update? This seems to be the last step in the realization of the full capacity of the update. My shortcomings are the same as before.

  • HP CP1515N pause between multiple impressions.

We have a HP Laserjet CP1515N and that you have installed using windows 7 for the first time.

When we try to print several copies of a document, that they will pause between each print before operating. This makes it very slow to print a large number of copies at a time.

This seems to happen more often on Publisher 2010, if printing on a word document it seems not having the problem. If I use a machine with windows XP and Publisher 2003 and print the same document, it does not have this problem.

I have the driver HP Color Laserjet CP 1510 Series PCL6 (0.3.7071.0) if it helps.

    Thanks for all advice :-)

What I think could be the cause is Publisher 2010.  I don't think that's any kind of error, or anything really adjustable.  Looks like it's in the way that Publisher 2010 treats print jobs.  You can try upgrading the memory, or the print spooler to see if it works to speed it up, but I think it's just in the operation of Publisher 2010.
