I'm on disk check utility, how do I know when its done and how I know whether or not, I have a problem?

I have Microsoft windows, I have a laptop, windows vista, I ran CCleaner, Speedy PC Pro, Uniblue registry Booster and security system from Microsoft that comes with this system. Now, whenever I run these or any program on my computer that has to do with safety or clean my computer or any fixing problem, I get a message that appears from the bar saying run disk utility to check off tasks? I know you probably want to know what the message says, but I can tell you that he keeps telling to run check disk utility.  the full message is "corrupt Registry Booster.exe file or directoryc:\program key is damaged and unreadable. Run the chkdsk utility.  What can I do to fix this?

... Initially re-read your error message.
...." Corrupt Registry Booster.exe file the file or the directoryc:\program

data\microsoft\crypto\RSA\machine keys is damaged and unreadable.

Your registry booster has damaged your system.

Uninstall Speedy PC Pro and Uniblue Registry Booster. They is snake at best, disastrous at worst oil.

As the CCleaner, it's ok as LONG as stay you away from registry option in the left column. Never use registry cleaner... period.
Registry cleaner could be useful in the hands of accomplished computer experts.
In the hands of regular users, it's a time bomb.

You said... more security system from Microsoft that comes with this system.
Only the security system that comes with the operating system is Windows Defender and Windows Firewall.
This is not enough. Advise to install Microsoft Security Essentials...
It's a free program and good enough for home use.
A point to note: stop Windows Defender because he has his own Defender. 2 defenders running on the same computer will create conflicts. It's normal.

How long disk check run...

Depending on your system. More "junks" in the system, more time. In general, it takes some time. When it runs, don't interrupt, don't stop the computer.

How do you know you have a problem or drive no check...

The system will create a log of disk check. Here's how to access the Journal:

Start > in the search box, type event viewer > Enter >
the column on the left, click on the pointer before Windows logs
Select (left-click) Applications, and then
Click with the right button on Applications
Select search
in the 'search box', type chkdsk
Click next
leave the search window
the middle column, you will see Wininit 1001, click
right column, under the event 1001, Wininit, click Properties of the event
A new window with the diskcheck newspaper.
You can use the slider to display, or click the button copy and then paste it to the one that you want to use, such as Notepad or wordpad.

Because this message appeared startup and shutdown has slowed considerably. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

The system said to do a check disk.

Here is the tutorial to do disc check... chkdsk.
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/67612-check-disk-Chkdsk.html

If the tutorial seems to be a bit confusing, try my version...

Start button > in the search box, type cmd > turn to upper-left, done right click on cmd.exe click on Run As Administrator > in the window black and white, at the prompt of flashing, copy and paste this command line... chkdsk/f/r
    * note: there is a space between 'chkdsk' and ' / '.

    > Press the Enter key > you will see a message that says: he can do right now, but you want to reboot (I am paraphrasing) > type Y as in Yes > press > release cmd wind > restart your computer.

Check the disk will begin to run at startup > do not stop the computer > it will take a while > just wait > the computer will restart when done.

  • Startup MacBook Pro-comment problems prevent health going to disk/check once again

My 13 inch Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.5 (said mid-2012, but it was purchased in fall 2014) has had problems starting

A few weeks ago the computer is stuck on the loading screen (white, with the Apple and the buffering of spinning icon) without marketing properly. After you have manually turned off and left for a long time he worked well on the next test, so I took care of it has been saved and so didn't think much, and it works pretty well in recent weeks, sometimes being a little slow but that very occasionally and not debilitatingly so and it probably is not related to this problem.

This morning it was still once stuck on the loading screen, and try again in 5 or 6 times solves nothing. The VRAM reset did not help either. After an attempt to boot into safe mode (filled a little progress bar then disappeared and the computer continued to buffer without purpose), I once again reset the NVRAM and tried a different boot safe mode, with the same results. But this time I left it half an hour or so and on the next attempt (start normally) it miraculously worked a new and everything seems functional. After a new backup with a preparation period slightly extended backup (at least half an hour on the first abandoned attempt, then at least 15 minutes, until correct on the second trial has started), although it is common on my computer, I have enough fear turn the computer off and tempt fate again, if I want to see what can be done now.

What should I do to check the health of the disk, potentially fix it, find out why this is happening and avoid this problem again in the future?

I decided to watch from the disk utility and am confused by the Setup program. There is an 'APPLE HDD Media HTS541010A9E662' entry in the list, with a "MacIntoshHD" paragraph below, and both have different information displayed... I ran check disk on the higher level entry and it seems to be out very well ("the Volume Recovery HD seems to be OK"), but I haven't run one on the low level input as it says my computer may be "slow and unresponsive" while doing so, and I'm not entirely sure of what use there.

It cannot be storage associated with as I stil have 610 gb of free 1 terra (although a large part of what I have (130 GB) is in the other category for a reason any).

  • Disk check frequently, but not consistently on boot up.

After letting the disk check run sometimes check once again the next time you start and sometimes will be going for a while before disk check to run again.  How can I solve this problem?  I use Windows Vista Ultimate Edition on a Toshiba Satellite laptop.

    Backup your stuff.

Search for hard to specific hard drive diagnosis from any manufacturer of disk utility.

    Use it to test questions.

  • The disk check does not not on the external drive

I am restoring a backup to an external drive, the drive seems to work very well.  However, the backup stops showing communication errors.  The software company was told to run the check disk on the external hard drive.  I click Start and nothing happens.  Device Manager indicates that the drive works properly.  It's just Check Disk does nothing.

How do check drive working correctly?

These are the drives on which you were trying to run chkdsk?  If so, the problem may be with the electronics in the case rather than the drive itself.  See, for example, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1979433/open-lacie-porsche-design-9230-case.html

So really, they both failed completely at the same time, it's unfortunate and unusual (unless there was some common external factor).

Although hdtune is a good utility, it might still be useful to check with Seatools (LaCie was bought by Seagate several years ago) - unless the drive makes strange noises when it is turned on. in this case, more you do, the data you will lose.

Depending on the amount of data is worth to you, it has undertaken is specialized in recovering data on damaged disks.  This service is not cheap.  DriveSaversis probably the most well-known, but there are many others, including one that says it specializes in hard drives LaCie.  Many will give you a free estimate of the costs to retrieve data.  I have no personal experience with any of these companies and none of them can recommend at the expense of others.
