• Laptop of HP ENVY m6: busy cursor and dialog boxes flicker

  Hi there, I downloaded Windows 8.1 10 last night but since then have had problems with the constantly busy cursor (sparkles the blue circle and turn off quickly), as well as with selected dialogs flicker. I checked with the Task Manager, but can't find anything that could potentially cause the problem. It is interesting on an attempt, the pitcher kept taskbar icon flashing in the taskbar. I have attatched a screenshot of a paused task manager as programs keep fast switching, it is therefore difficult to assess where the problem may come from. I rebooted several times and reinstalled AVG a couple of times I've heard that could potentially cause problems. I also tried to install a new graphics driver, but who worked for apparently without success. In addition, Windows repeats that she is perfectly up-to-date and solves no problem.

  How can I solve this problem? I can't understand what my computer tries / load.

  I generate a signal over time. This means that I give the program of the amplitude, frequency and time how long signal must be performed (for example 10 minutes).

  So now the samples is transferred from the buffer to the device. I wrote a callback function (int32 CVICALLBACK OnEveryNSamplesEvent (TaskHandle taskHandle, int32 everyNsamplesEventType, uInt32 nSamples, void * callbackData)) which generates the following pattern when the first batch set of samples are transferred to the device. This has the advantage that I can't calculate a very large table at the beginning of the program instead I calculate every time a part of it at the same time when the buffer is written to the device.

  Then and now to my question.
  I don't know what happens when I break the task (DAQmxStopTask (taskHandle)
  I tried and it has the function, I would have but is there the risk that my buffer can cause an overflow? Is the set of the program as the calculation in the background stand still when I break the task?

  (My theory is that, with DAQmxStartTask (taskHandle), I'm starting to transfer the samples of the buffer in the device. When I stop the task he doesn't transfer the samples more and then the calcualtion in the background also still stands)

  Well, that's easy to fix - change the appearance of window properties if the toolbar is not visible, while the code runs, and there will be a pause button for your users to click.

  Many of our applications have a function somewhat like this.  My colleague implementation in a very simple way: he put the graphical indicator within a box structure.  Connect a Boolean control "pause" to the structure of the case, and that's it.  Data acquisition runs constantly but will only update the chart when the pause button is false.  This approach might work for you?

  I create a VI to control a stepper motor by varying the frequency of output for the engine.  Above certain frequencies, the motor requires an enjambements ramp to reach the desired frequency.  So I want to configure my VI for the ramp slowly (speed of rise of 1 kHz per second).  I have a while loop and inside I call DAQ create virtual channel (CO Pulse Freq), then a VI calendar implicit to generate samples continues, and then I call early.  Basically, another while loop checks the status of the task and waits for 1 second.  What I see is that the frequency for the acquisition of data entry create vi virtual channel changes, but the output frequency does not change since no change in speed is found on the engine. However, if I stop the task after the 1 second wait, the frequency entry takes effect and different speed is observed on the engine, with a slight delay in the response.  The delay is undesirable because it defeats the purpose of the continuous rise.

  I'm looking for, so essentially a way to update the settings of task dynamically without any delay/mark a pause.

  Does anyone have a suggestion?  Thank you in advance.

  Channel property node actually cannot change the parameter during execution of the task.  If you put a probe on the frequency entry, it seems that the value is updated, but if you actually connect a scope on the physical output channel, the value is not changed.

  I discovered that to change the setting on the fly, I use writing DAQ vi the task.

• DAQmx how to control the level of tension AO paused for a relaxing break?

  I have an application where I need to generate a waveform of a fixed frequency (~ 200 kHz) and the amplitude, but for differing them burst lengths and different lengths of time between bursts.   I don't think there is a way to establish a certain level on the analog output, based on a relaxing break.  I watch using a redeclenchables task analog output and do every hour of beginning to the required voltage.

  I am currently in the middle of a download of automatic update of Windows (for Vista). I have a dial-up internet access downloads of this nature tend to be very slow. At the same time I am trying to download another (big) program via internet. Progress on the other this program are practically at a standstill, and I think that the current windows download may be an obstacle to my another download. In view of this, I want to 'Break' of my Windows activity until I can complete the other. How can I do this (I have try click left/right clicking on the download icon of Windows in the lower right task bar but nothing appears to facilitate a break). I see that this option for a break is not available w/XP, is it the same with Vista? If so, what would happen if I changed "automatic updates for Windows'"Manual updates for Windows"- this would allow me to pause. If the manual conversion take effect immediately w/the current would download?

  Once the downloads have started - if they are started automatically or manually, there is no break. If all goes well, it is too much and the process will be completed and then the other your download should go faster.  Just be patient and the next time, try to avoid multiple downloads - perhaps you may need to change the download of the scheduled update calendar at a time where you are still less likely to use the computer.

• Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK does not open new task

  I am building an application and trying to launch an activity to another task as my main business.  The activity, I'm throwing in a separate task will be started from a separate application.  If my application is running but paused and that the external application tries to start activity that is supposed to launch into his own task, my activity paused is brought to the foreground and activity which is supposed to launch into a separate task launched above it, instead of being launched in a different spot.

  I put the taskAffininity on the activity of the empty string ("" ") and I also put allowTaskReparenting to false in the android manifest, but it has no effect and the activity is always launched on top of my activity paused.  I don't see a FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK in the unsupported API section.  Is there a way to make this work?  Is this supported?  It works fine on normal android on a variety of devices/API levels.
