Pavilion 17-f053us G6R30UA #ABA: go to sleep

I recently used Paretologic PC Health Advisor to correct what I thought, it was a mistake in the registry. rather, this program has changed my power settings so that when I close the lid of the laptop, the laptop turns off. I uninstalled the program and removed everything from my laptop. However, I can not the portable to the State before the program all messed up. I want the laptop to go to sleep when I close the lid, not to turn off the unit.

I went to Control Panel, power options, chose the closing the cover, but under options, I get that: do nothing, hibernate, shut down my wifes laptop (exactly the same as mine, purchased together) lists the sleep, not hibernate. I tried the Hibernate, but he died too.

I use the power setting recommended HP and has been devoted to the plan and restored settings by default for this plan.  I also used: powercfg - restoredefaultschemes

What can I do else?

everything is good again. I had to update my video driver for another program and sleep is back!

Thank you for everything.

Do not know why. There is no physical reason the card wouldn't fit and work on your laptop.

    Hello-

I have a Pavilion 17-e110dx (F9L87UAR #ABA), running Windows 8.1. Today, I put a DVD in my optical drive and when I heard it turns, I ejected the drive, but the drive is now stuck to the INSIDE of my computer... Please help!  The Player opens and closes without any problem... where's my drive?   How can I safely remove the optical drive in order to take out the drive? I don't want to damage the disc, because it contains irreplaceable photos.

Also - I bought this laptop a month ago, refurbished and it is still under warranty.

    Thank you!

It must always be inside the optical drive. It is a closed box. Turn the laptop on the back, open the service Bay and search a single screw with an icon of DVD player next to him. Remove the screws and the DVD player should slide out of the chassis with a little help by behind with a flat blade screwdriver. Pages 47-49 in this manual shows how.

    Manual

Once the disc is out of the chassis, you can use the pin hole to open it with a folded-out paperclip. Completely open and you should be able to see the drive in there to remove it.

  • Pavilion Notebook PC 15-079er: problems with sleep and shutdown 15-n079er HP Pavilion Notebook PC.

    Hello world

I have a huge problem with my Pavilion. I used Windows 8.1 earlier, and I decided to upgrade to Windows 10. I did not like something (can't remember what) and decided to return to Windows 8.1. Almost a year passed, I am again on Windows 10. But if I SLEEP my computer:

    • Screen goes black, everything seems normal.
    • No matter how long wait, fan keeps spinning and power LED, LED Wi - Fi on.
    • Keyboard input does not help. Does not meet what it is.
    • The only thing left to do - stop hard.

And if I shut down the operating system:

    • Windows normally stops, close all applications, screen goes black.
    • Fan on, led on.

I did not notice these problems with restarting and the hibernation.

Two things I've done in this gap of the year:

    • Replacement screen. An old broke. Thanks to my cat...
    • Formatted the drive. I don't think it would do anything diffirent.

So, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

  • HP Pavilion x 360-P1F10UA #ABA: short Popping noise through headphones before playing them all the sounds (brand new HP 13-s128nr with Realtek)

    Hello

I hear a sound of pop via helmet whenever I play music or even he plays Windows system sounds.

The noise is short, it is as if once you plug in your headphones.

I believe that it has something to do with power management, because it seems that the sound system goes offline when nothing is done and once it turns to play something it makes noise.

I found similar questions that people have had to face, but none of the worked for me.

    For example:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-PC-sound-and-audio/HP-Pavilion-G6-2240sq-strange-sound-speaker...

    and

    http://Rog.ASUS.com/Forum/archive/index.php/t-35046.html?s=927083fd01c9f0ec873b7e9e8da8d47e.

I did the online conversations with HP Media, but they were not able to find a solution. What they were doing was to uninstall/reinstall the drivers who did not work for me.

In my view, that it is a software problem.

I didn't expect that from HP, but I feel a little disappointed in my choice. I hope I can fix and not return.

I would be grateful any suggesion.

    Thank you

Hi, I have been looking for a solution to this problem and found that not using the Realtek HD Audio Manager/B & O stop audio popping. The problem with this driver is that it makes the card its close after 10-20 seconds of no audio output in order to save battery power and to our advantage, there is no way to disable this "feature". What you mean, its break-up, is similar to the helmet being handed over to since the restart of the sound card. I see that the audio is not as great after this fix. To do a choice so audio sacraficing a little quality to not burst or better audio quality and popping. I found these steps of the forums hp here, thanks to SteveCT99.

    1. Go to the Windows Device Manager > sound, video and game controllers section.
    2. In the list of the audio device drivers, look for Realtek High Definition Audio.
    3. Right-click and select disable. Down arrow on this driver, indicating it is disabled. (NOTE: at this point, you will not be able to play music files.)
    4. Right click and select Update driver software.
    5. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
    6. Select Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
    7. You should see a window that says Select the driver to install for this hardware device. NOTE: If you see a window that says something like This is the best driver for this device, close the window and repeat steps 4, 5 and 6.
    8. In the scheme box, select Audio device high definition (this is the device driver audio substitute) and click Next.
    9. In the Update driver warning window, click Yes. You should see a confirmation with thehigh definition Audio Device display window. Click on Close.
    10. In the list of drivers of audio device in the section audio, video and game controllers, you will notice that the high definition Audio device now displays instead ofHigh Definition Audio Realtek.
    11. When prompted to restart, click Yes

    I hope this helps!

  • HP Pavilion PC 2 x removable: PC HP Pavilion x 2 removable - battery when in Sleep Mode Work-Around

After a lot of research, trial and error and re-trial... Here is my proposed solution for those who like me have tired of having the X 2 die on them while you sleep!

Option 1 - Activate put into hibernation

Basically, this will disable Windows 10 'connected standby' feature in which the Tablet is supposed to go into a deep 'Riks' sleep while still being somehow able to keep control of e-mails and other things in the background. The problem is that, because many drivers (such as the Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM)) do not seem to have been implemented for the x 2 on windows 10, then the Tablet continues to drain energy.

The solution is to go back to the good old "Hibernate" feature. It will take a few seconds longer for the x 2 to return to normal mode and cost about 700 MB of disk space that is used by the hyberfil to temporarily store data of RAM memory. The x 2 will be generally enter hybernation 5-10 minutes after sleep, but you can set the type below.

    To enable the hibernation

Go to control Panel\All Control PanelPower Options\Edit Plan parameters Items\

    Open "change advanced power settings".

Expand the subtopic 'Sleep' , and under 'on battery' select Hibernate.

If you get stuck - more detailed instructions can be found here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2859-hibernate-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

Option 2 - persevere with sleep "connected standby".

Unfortunately in my experience, it is only frustration and disappointment, but you can try to identify what prevents your 2 x to enter sleep and disabling / updated drivers to see if that helps. To help you in this quest, you have the following which must be run as an administrator.

Press the Windows key + X and click to open the command (as admin) window

Paste it below and press ENTER to execute

    powercfg /batteryreport
    powercfg-energy
    Powercfg.exe SleepStudy

Open c:/Windows/System32 and search for files

    sleepstudy - report.html

    energy - report.html

    battery - report.html

More information on the interpretation of the results can be found here: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/PowerCfgTheHiddenEnergyAndBatteryToolForWindowsYoureNotUsing.aspx

    I hope this helps!

  • The HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC: Output mode no 'sleep'

So, I'm having a problem that seems to have just started today, out of nowhere, where my laptop seems to not want to exit the mode 'sleep'.

So here's how the question is: If the laptop is forgotten, you know, idle for a while, the screen goes black. I'm used, that's just what I think, is sleep mode, never really learned the term appropriate for that, I just call it sleep. Can be standby. But anyway, it's the normal thing when the screen goes black after a short period of inactivity. Normally simply move the mouse or something will do the screen to come back and it's good.

But, just today, I'm having a problem where the screen is not. There's just black, and I've had it happen twice up to now (back to back); Once when I closed the laptop and once where I was left alone for a while. In both cases, when I got home to try and 'wake up', the power button light on it stops flashing and becomes solid (normal that when you wake up the computer), but the screen remains black.

Now both times I was able to get the display normal return but a hard, just reboot by pressing the power button. But of course, as it happened a second time, who offered no permanent change. And I checked "hybrid sleep" or something else, and it is turned off. So I don't know what's going on, or why he began so suddenly.

  • Pavilion DV7 Prod # B5R46UA #ABA: remove windows 7 after upgrading to windows 10

    Hello

I've updated my machine to Windows 10 months ago and want to remove all the old Windows 7-64 related things that are no longer useful or necessary for Windows 10.  Is this possible?  If so, what is the process to do this?

Also the partition HP tools will work with Windows 10 and given that this machine works now the new OS now delete all the old software remaining in the recovery partition that includes more than 20 GB of space?

Since I did not intend to return to Windows 7 a recovery option will be available strictly for the recovery of this machine in the future for Windows 10 or this machine is recovered to its original configuration?

In addition, I would like to replace the original hard drive 650 GB by SSD drive or a hybrid of approximately the same size.  What you do is recommended and is this something I can buy directly from HP to make sure that it is not compatible with this computer?

Thank you & looking forward to your response.

In my personal opinion, passage to an SSD is a great upgrade and I did with my portable HP. I wanted to just Support HP could do for you if communicating with them was a relay option.

I can't you what specific SSD willl or won't work, but most of the readers to connect and transfer data as a mechanical HARD drive so shouldn't cause many problems using a disc retail Ex: Samsung 850 Pro.
