  If you want to run W7, there must be W7 64-bit, and then you can use the g6t-2000 drivers.

  I have HP Pavilion 2230tx g6. I bought laptop with 4 GB of RAM (1 x 4). Then I switch to 8 GB (2 x 4). I heard that this model can use no more then 8 GB of RAM. But my question is what happens if I try you put 12 GB (1 x 4, 1 x 8) or 16 GB (2 x 8 or 1 x 16) of RAM? I need more than 8GB to work! Thanks for all the tips and advice!
  PS. Maybe it's patch or update for 2230tx change the max RAM size?

  If it is not visible in the BIOS, then it is the restriction of the BIOS or motherboard - if you have the freedom to test out you can go for that.
  If the config is compatible to the system, Windows will load normally but usable RAM may be 8gigs right even if you load the RAM size more in it.

  I'm new to this forum. I bought Pavilion g6-2230tx a few months back and installed Windows 7 professional 64-bit. But the problem I am facing from day one, is that I cannot use one of my three USB ports. Also my Sd Card Reader behaves erratically; When he reads the cards occasionally. When I'm checking my Device Manager Windows it shows also that 1) 3) USB controller re and 2) PCI device Ethernet controller does not properly (exclamation point in a yellow box).

  For knowledge of all I have to say that my pc came with BACK as operating system so that I can have both hands free to install any OS on my condition.

  If anyone can help me I will forever remain oblieged.

  Upgrading the video card is a non-starter. The video chip is soldered to the motherboard and not something that can be removed and replaced.

  More memory will help the video a bit. Not a lot. You say you have 4 gigs which is not bad, so an upgrade to 8 will do any type of work only a little better and video games a little bit better. Don't expect significant increase in the frequency of images of the games, for example.

  Note: I also had problems with USB 3.0 to Dual Boot... (Win7)... I had to install the latest Catalyst drivers... then googled the ID of material... and found "SMBus drivers'... which came with USB 3.0 drivers...

  In HP G6 2230tx laptop, I can't find where the speakers are found, although I can hear the sound coming from close to the hinges. But I don't know if it comes from above or below.   I contacted the telephone support from hp that they can't help because I don't have my warranty now. My video driver is 2.5 years I want to updrade it sexrched in the official site got it too but don't click and download the driver. Phone support told me to connect with my serial number and model of familiar but nothing happened. • My HP Pavilion g6 fan does not work.

  I bought a HP Pavilion g6 2230tx a few months back and its cooling fan has stopped working.
  It was working fine, but the problem started when I played Euro Truck Simulator 2 full settings. The cooling fan has been throwing a large amount of heat and the fan was moving quickly, but I continued to play. Later that day, when I turned on my laptop, it showed an error which was: "the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly and continued operation can cause damage.
  Fan system (90 b)'.
  Then I turns off after 15 seconds.
  My laptop is under warranty until 2016-06-16 [YYYY-MM-DD] and the Security category is "guarantee of the factory." {Deleted personal information} & product number is C9L64PA #ACJ. Now my question is that how much HP will take to repair or replace my laptop fan. Will it be free? ;-)

  iTunes does not recognize my iPhone on my HP Pavilion Windows 10 5s, so cannot sync the phone running. I downloaded the latest OS for the phone and the latest version of iTunes on my PC and have tried all USB ports several times. I also reinstalled drivers USB to the PC.  The phone is recognized on the computer of a friend under Win 7. All shows when I plug it on mine is a page showing the 'Apple iPhone' folder display of storage internal (2.18 GB free of 14.7 GB). Troubleshooting in devices and printers, where the phone displays as "Not specified Apple iPhone" generates a message saying that "Apple iPhone is an older USB device and may not work with USB 3.0 and plug it into a USB 2.0 port." But when I use USB 2.0 (I tried several times using each of the three USB ports on my PC), troubleshooting the error message says "Apple iPhone won't work correctly with USB 3.0." This seems to be a recent problem, since in March 2016, I could spend a few songs from my PC to my phone using iTunes.

  I wish I had some ideas of people who have experienced this problem, I find to be a more frustrating one.

  Well, you aren't the only one. This just freakin happened to me. I spent the last three hours with apple and Windows supports. Now I'm reinstalling Windows 10 by last resort of Windows support councils. I got the same message USB. In iTunes, under devices something removed my 5s and the iPad. But it remains 6 s wife. I tried my computers 2-(SS) 3.0 ports and 1 port 2.0 ordinary. I tried all four thinners cables I have. I will let you know the result of the Windows reinstall.
