  I solved the problellm. After stripping the system of all the games and all other third party software, I discovered that the problem would occur when connected my net. If I started and did not attach the net audio problem has not occure.  It turns out that one of the files system temp to explore has been altered by a virus which, down, loaded each time that the system connected to the net.  Problem showed when testing the hard drive.  Ran the disk check which fixed the corrupt files, then reinstalled win 7 and other necessary software.  All right.

  Once I got the correct version of Windows 7, the installation went well.  I found all the necessary drivers.  Had a lot of bad to do Win 7 update.  Now solved by performing a clean boot.  Still waiting for delivery of 8 GB of ram.   Trouble with outside the file sharing working group.  I will address this issue on a forum of Win 7.

  You will not be able to get the Recovery Manager, but if you had created the recovery disk before upgrading the OS. Then you might have used the same back to the OS provided with the system. So now, you may need to buy a set of recovery disc.

  You need not install W7.

  If you want to update the BIOS (which I don't recommend unless your laptop is having issues addressed by the BIOS update), and then update the BIOS by using the file on your laptop support page by using the operating system supported.

  It goes the same for firmware.  Firmware and BIOS updates are hardware specific and are not pilots (they are the binary code that can be compared to the brain and nervous system of the unit).  If a problem occurs during the update, or you apply them to the wrong material, you can start your laptop in the trash.

  I installed a new graphics card, power supply, memory and fancy new monitor, printer and scanner.  Graphics card stopped working after about a month.  AMS suggests that I update my bios.

  My computer is kind of old.  Not sure when I bought it, but the bios is 2008.

  I looked on the support site, and HP has a bios update from 2012, but he does not appear in Windows 7.  I'm under Win 8.1.  Does anyone know if I can / should I use?

  The update of the BIOS won't do harm to your PC unless it fails during the installation.  There is always a low risk to the update of the BIOS.  If Setup finds Windows 7 as the operation of the platform and then it will not install.

  I suggest you RMA graphics cards before looking for a PSU or of the motherboard problem.

  Finally tried to load the drivers manually Sp 67245 pointing to the directory intel saved once again

  This time the driver loaded even if I tried it last night (another HP message mentioned something very similar)

  I note that I am in dual boot Win7 and 8.1

  When I started the computer was missing 2 drivers PCI Simple Communications ControllerBCM20702A0 & SM Bus Controller on two operating systems

  For WIn7 IntelChipset Driver SP 65025.exe solved the problem of controller Sm driver & 69680.exe SP Broadcom 2070 / 20702 Bluetooth Driver Install BCM20702A0 driver

  To Win8.1 manually pointing to the directory Intel Sp 67245 CWSETUP\SP245 responsible for resolving the SM Bus controller driver
