• Sync does not work after reinstalling Windows 7

  Sync works great between my Windows 7 Desktop and 8.1 tablet. The PC got a clean installation of Windows this weekend and now Sync does not work. I do not receive my bookmarks/history/etc on the desktop.

  The problem seems to be with your ISP - you can refer to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1118958 and they may be able to find a workaround by changing your diet or to help you configure a different MTU for the network.

  I managed to solve this problem by making an own uninstaller software (including the reg key etc.) as described in the KB.

  After that, I installed an earlier version of the desktop software (6.0.0). It works for me.

  Sync is not intended to be used as a backup device, but simply to synchronize data between multiple devices.

  As an alternative to the synchronization, to find your old data, Firefox, try this. Please note that I have not used Windows 8, to let me know if this makes no sense.
