Pavilion a6752f: HP Pavilion a6752f compatibility

Hello

We bought a HP Pavilion a6752f in early 2009. It's all stock, nothing has been changed. Although, we replaced our purchased but the same GPU. I was wondering - my PC is compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit? Thanks in advance! Been stuck on Windows Vista 64-bit since 2009.

Hello

It would be possible to install Windows 7 64-bit drivers and software are available:

I'm afraid there is no Super detailed for this unit available compatibility list, however there is an ' information processor upgrade"section describing what CPU of the series which you are able to upgrade to.

  • G7-1261NR AMDA4 - 3300M Pavilion: motherboard compatibility / level

    I have a Pavilion g7-1261NR with AMD A4 Processor - 3300 M Llano FS1 QE310UA #ABA

For some reason, all of the 3 USB ports do not work, and no solution Support HP will fix them.

So I have to replace the motherboard apparently. That being said, my question is: what is the best motherboard to the g7 that will fit in my laptop and accept my processor?

My wife has a model completely different g7, and I have swapped out the motherboard too, while I say g7 all seem to have the same internal dimensions, indicating motherboards are compatible across different models. If I have to replace mine, I might well have best out there for a few dollars more than a direct replacement for my current model.

    Thank you!

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

Best motherboard for AMD A-series processors would be this one:

For use only with the computer models equipped with the AMD A60M chipset and a graphic subsystem with 1024 MB discrete video memory 649950-001

It has the best dedicated video chip. ATI HD6470M. Now you have just the graphics that are integrated into the processor.

It won't make a big difference between this and your motherboard in terms of features or performance. If you want to improve performance, you must also upgrade the processor and your top options are an A8 - 3500M. They are not expensive, given the limited demand for AMD processors. It would still be a noticeable uprade.

  • Pavilion p6267c: compatibility Windows 10

I have recently installed Windows 10 on my HP desktop.

My Microsoft Wheel Mouse Opticcal works fine at the start; But if the computer goes to sleep, the mouse does not work when the computers came back upward.  I have to unplug the mouse and plug it in again to make it work.

I couldn't find a driver for Windows 10 online, so I called Microsoft.  They looked at my computer and told me that they don't think that it is compatible with Windows 10.

Is this likely?  Is there a fix without incurring a cost?

    Thank you.

    Hi there @Winyah67,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that Microsoft has indicated that they believe that your computer is not compatible with Windows 10. I'm happy to help you with this.

When I checked your computer model, I found that there are no specific drivers for Windows 10. This isn't an insurmountable fact. If you upgraded your computer using the compatibility check, then Windows 10 already checked your system for compatibility with the operating system and then went ahead. When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft stated that any system that is running Windows 7 or 8.1 was eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 10.  Of course, to see the wide range of hardware and software installed in networks, it is impossible to check all the possible combinations of hardware and software and components elders are not likely to get the specific drivers of Windows 10. This has always been the case when the most recent operating systems are available. Old programs and devices do not always work with it.  In the case of Windows 10, the preliminary compatibility test was to see if there was material that was absolutely incompatible. If it is passed then the existing driver might work or Windows 10 had an internal driver that he could use.

Now, all that being said, you can always try to install and use a 7 or more former Windows 8.1 driver and see if it will work, or you can try to install again, but this time using the mode of compatibility in Windows 10. It can solve the problem. See this Microsoft supportthat paper can help you with this: how: install and update drivers in Windows 10 -answers.microsoft.com

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

    Hello

I don't foresee any problems with your choices.

Relatives on the slot PCI-E x 16 must be vacant.  Examine the characteristics of the motherboard.

These "how-to" HP articles should be useful.

TIP: Unlock and slide the optical drive forward before you remove and install the power supply. This helps facilitate the removal and installation of the power supply, but it is not mandatory.

  • HP Pavilion p7 - 1227c: GDDR5 graphics compatibility question card XFX Radeon R9 380 4GB with HP Pavilion p7 - 127c?

I bought this Radeon R9 380 4 GB from Ebay and installed it in my computer, but it won't work. Turn fans of the graphics card but the PC screen remains black. I contacted the seller who said that the video card has been tested prior to shipment and that it may be a compatibility issue with my PC. I know that this graphics card has a PCI Express 3.0 interface 16 x so that my PC has a PCI Express 2.0, but I don't think that this could be a problem.

Do you know if there is a problem of compatibility between the graphics card XFX Radeon R9 380 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and the HP Pavilion p7 - 127C?

Note: I move the power supply to 650W.

    @Astyx, welcome to the forum.

You are right that the PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0.  However, your problem is the motherboard.  The Radeon card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy BIOS. The BIOS may not be walking in the UEFI.  PCIe 3.0 cards requiring UEFI will not work in any other location.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps to exploit without UEFI are the GTX 660/670.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t CTO: compatibility problems, ask questions about knitting-by-turn or possible motherboard replacement.

I recently baught an EVGA GTX 1060, as this 630 became quite long in the tooth and I thought that I would try to future proof myself a little as the rest of my components seem to be working very well.  However, I can't get the map to work correctly on this particular computer.  Oddly enough, I can get past that screen startup finally after several short beeps and let it sit, but it takes fowever to reach the office and clearly is not executed properly that the resolution is wobbly and software from Nvidia cannot even detect the card.  I guess I had got this far because of the onboard graphics of some sort, but AFAIK this motherboard which lacks.

I know that the card works fine as I tested it in my other Tower, so I struggled to find a solution.  So far, it seems that the problem is most likely the motherboard, as HP does not have a new BIOS for it since the beginning of 2013 (which I did go ahead and install it).  If true, I find myself with either two options, it seems that the ditch system, entirely or find a motherboard that works with all my old components.  I'd rather not have to empty this workaholic, when all other parts work great, if it is not a work around I would like to know if there are motherboards I could pass that would work with the rest of my components.  Normally I would not bother with even apply for, but I hear a lot of chatter on HP PCs pre-constructed having compatibility problems.

I bought this computer there is in the case of four years that I would be able to update as I do with any other PC, but I didn't know at the time that HP has a tendency to not update the BIOS settings for anything beyond a year which I admit is incredibly frustrating.  What is done is done however, and I want to make this work without having to clear the entire system.

GPU (stock): Nvidia GeForce GT 630 (this is replaced by the EVGA GTX 1060)

    @Faver, welcome to the forum.

Your problem is the BIOS.  However, it is because the 1060 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The BIOS may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last cards only not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670.

MSI made cards with a switch that can be used with a Legacy BIOS or UEFI.  If you decide to go this way, you must contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.

The upgrade of the motherboard can be a problem.  HP has taken advice their specifications.  Therefore, they are not necessarily the same as the commercial versions.  Please make sure that the holes in the motherboard matches the accessory in the case.  In addition, some members have had problems with the connectors in the connections case before, for example, the power button.

  • Pavilion Slimline s5780t: compatibility Windows 10

    Hello

I have a friend with the model listed above. It was recently upgraded to Windows 10 (translation: Microsoft forced the upgrade on him without his consent). His PC was working fine before the upgrade, but since then, he has been presenting all kinds of different problems.

Before you start to look at the details, I just wanted to know if this model of PC is compatible with Windows 10 in the first place. I came across the site of HP in the hope of finding this 'picture' of the models tested, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

Could someone be tell me if the s5780t flag has been tested with Windows 10 or direct me to where I might find myself?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

HP does not support this model for W10, and there is no W10 driver for it on the support page.

Here is the link for the product... it's 2011, which is older that the deadline for what tested HP of the PC for the W10.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-PC-series/5035352/model/5060992/document/c02682452#AbT0

Here is the link to HP on compatibility with W10...

This PC must be able to run W10 OK on the basic material.  I have two HP business class PC with Sandy Bridge CPUs and chipsets, and they work fine.  Audio different chips well (Realtek).

Now if this model has a tuner TV and other optional devices, those who can not work.

The Beats Audio may not work... However, try this driver W10.  It works on many HP PC with audio IDT bat.

  • Pavilion 1301tx g6: 10 windows upgrade compatibility

First of all, I really want to try the new windows 10. I use windows 7 Professional for hp pavilion 1301tx g6 and it's grahics driver amd hd 7450 m. My question is if I upgrade my laptop for windows 10, will be this driver it is necessary for the new operating system? Let me rephrase the question, can I get the graphics driver to my laptop for windows 10? Ireally wantto besure as to its compatibility. With my other laptop sony vaio, I tried to install the new os and I get BSD. They (CC) said the graphics driver is not compatible, but when I click on the logo of small windows on the bar he spots says your pc is compatible. This time I really want to be sure as to its compatibility. Please help me in this matter.

@SBKH: Unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 driver for your device. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

You can try to use Windows updates to find the drivers from Microsoft deposits for your device: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03330139

If that does not do anything, you should read this another link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv6-6000-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5048664/model/5077076/document/c04758308/

If Windows Update doesn't give new drivers, you can pursue alternative which are described in the linked Microsoft Windows Insider community thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/wiki/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-to-install-and-update-drivers-in-windows-10/a97bbbd1-9973-4d66-9a5b-291300006293

If you then run into trouble, install the drivers through Windows Update, you can try to use of Microsoft Windows Update Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

Also... If you want to test the upgrade, then before doing this, consider using a third-party application Imaging/restoration as Macrium Reflect to image your machine off so that you can easily restore it if something does not work.  And don't count on the Win10 GoBack function back on Win7, it is not reliable and can leave your computer in a damaged state.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

  • Compatibility of the broken keyboard Pavilion dv6

    Hello

    I have a keyboard broken on a:

    Laptop HP Pavilion dv6-6110ez (LS222EA)

I checked the keyboard is faulty by testing virtually everything and then disconnected - manic BIOS, beep stops. In the contrary case, the PC boots, so it bascially functions and also perfectly fine.

There are also a few messages in the forums with similar symptoms - false characters appearing, "auto-repetition", etc.. Seems to be a classic problem, but makes the PC unusable without an external keyboard.

The replacement part is 640436-BG1 - Swiss layout (the original HP & Flextronics P/N is 634139-BG1).

But this part is not available to the user of part of HP or through HP replacement parts shop, or at the local (Switzerland) offical HP parts supplier.

The exact part is available from 3 Parties at an apparently inflated price, but not locally (--> customs issues!)

I can get a similar piece (570228-111) from a local supplier at a price reasonable. They claim that the compatibility is a fairly wide range of HW dv6-6xxx and 7xxx dv6, dv6-6110sw dv6-6117eg, which seem to correspond to the models mentioned in the service and maintenance guide relevant dv6 and (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02842252.pdf).

The local official HP supplier can also deliver this one but wouldn't listed no compatibility.

Keyboards are certainly pretty standard and interchangeable enough individual within the same range of models (makes economic sense), if someone can give me some advice on what replacement keyboard would work in practice?

    Work P/N 570228-111?

    Thanks in advance.

    -Patrick

Thanks for the tip, this is the cheapest around a good margin, but they offer only in the United Kingdom and I live there :-(

He also says "Call for availability", hmmmmm...

I think I'll just grit my teeth and pay the "part replacement premium" after all. At least the 'proper' Party will certainly work.
