Pavilion p6267c: compatibility Windows 10

I have recently installed Windows 10 on my HP desktop.

My Microsoft Wheel Mouse Opticcal works fine at the start; But if the computer goes to sleep, the mouse does not work when the computers came back upward.  I have to unplug the mouse and plug it in again to make it work.

I couldn't find a driver for Windows 10 online, so I called Microsoft.  They looked at my computer and told me that they don't think that it is compatible with Windows 10.

Is this likely?  Is there a fix without incurring a cost?

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that Microsoft has indicated that they believe that your computer is not compatible with Windows 10. I'm happy to help you with this.

When I checked your computer model, I found that there are no specific drivers for Windows 10. This isn't an insurmountable fact. If you upgraded your computer using the compatibility check, then Windows 10 already checked your system for compatibility with the operating system and then went ahead. When Windows 10 was released, Microsoft stated that any system that is running Windows 7 or 8.1 was eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 10.  Of course, to see the wide range of hardware and software installed in networks, it is impossible to check all the possible combinations of hardware and software and components elders are not likely to get the specific drivers of Windows 10. This has always been the case when the most recent operating systems are available. Old programs and devices do not always work with it.  In the case of Windows 10, the preliminary compatibility test was to see if there was material that was absolutely incompatible. If it is passed then the existing driver might work or Windows 10 had an internal driver that he could use.

Now, all that being said, you can always try to install and use a 7 or more former Windows 8.1 driver and see if it will work, or you can try to install again, but this time using the mode of compatibility in Windows 10.     I got a laptop HP Pavilion 15 running Windows 7 64 bit SP1. Original, it is Windows 8 Basic but as much, I don't like him and he retired. Everything works fine now just that it cannot find the software for the Ethernet device. I've been downloading different version of what I found, but none works.

    The error message that desplays after the system recovery process, it is "Windows cannot verify the Publisher of this driver software".

    I tried clicking on the button 'Install anyway', at this point, more than 5 times.  The process does not move forward and I feel frustrated and turned off my computer.

    Thank you.  By showing the work you've done to a representative at the Geek Squad, I was able to buy and install a new hard drive for my laptop.

    I then used the recovery disks that were created shortly after that the laptop was purchased in 2009.  Windows Vista is now on my computer.

    Use the W7 64 bit drivers for this model.  There is no W7 32 bit graphics drivers, so there must be W7 64-bit.

    To the graphics driver, you must only install the AMD graphics driver that will install the drivers for the Intel graphics cards and AMD.

    HP only provides drivers Windows 8 and 8.1 of Windows for your model. However, I have an older G6 Pavilion provided with Windows 7 installed, and I did it with success a clean install of Windows 10 on it. Since your computer was made for Windows 8, I assume that the upgrade process would be smoother for you.

    A little tip: I recommend that you have a wired Internet access available to your computer during the installation process so that Windows can download the drivers for your computer. I tried without a connected network cable, and I found myself with no Internet capacity after installation. I had to do another clean installation with a connected network cable, and this time the installer found all the correct drivers: map Wi - Fi button, graphic, touchpad, webcam, reader of cards, all. I didn't have to install anything manually.

    I can't advise you on the caddy HARD drive for your DVD burner, but I've seen messages on the subject in these discussion forums. I did replace my HARD original with an SSD drive.

    You can look at my profile and read my other posts for questions, I met with my BIOS. I hope that you will not face this problem because your machine is more recent.

    No need to format, even if you did the recovery HP would erase any formatting.

    On my old computer, it was easy to burn photos to a CD - R. I tried to do it on the Pavilion laptop with windows 8.1 but without success. Try with the office, the message says "windows can't burn to the current disc. Please insert a writable disc in driver E. " But I've been using a disc that worked on the old computer. When I tried it through Media Player, it didn't just start burning once I inserted the disc and no progress has been demonstrated. When I checked the properties of the E drive it showed there's nothing on the disc.

    If she did not work with Cyberlink so let's try another method. It is possible to burn without using software as if you were in the first place. I've included some tutorials and I think choose USB option is what caused this problem for you. Here's a YouTube video on how to burn a CD and the same thing but in steps written here.

    I have a g6-2323dx pavilion and removed windows 8 because I like not and knew from the beginning that I would need drivers for win 7.  Anyone know where to find the g6 drivers for win 7 or someone did it for g6, because I could not fine the appropriate drivers for what whether? I can provide Hardware Ids if necessary. I have already scoured the web, found a few sites that offer drivers, but turn out to be nothing but bots and viruses. If you need is, I can just go to each individual manufacturers drivers, Web site and get that were not able to a decent list of hardware specs real with manufacturers that is listed for the networking, hp support site just shows ' network/10/100 lan card' not ' realtek 8136 "card... ect.»

    Here are the specifications of your laptop HP Pavilion 2323dx g6. For your model, HP seems to provide that drivers of Windows 8. Most of the Windows 7 driver from the drivers PC laptop HP Pavilion 2123us g6 page should work on your computer from HP g6-2323dx.
