• Pavilion dm4-2015dx: the left speakers

  I'm not all the sounds of the internal left speaker on my laptop.  The two parties work in the headphone jack.  I replaced the internal speakers with new ones - does not solve the problem.  Then I replaced the motherboard - still does not solve the problem. Anything else I can try?

  I reinstalled the driver of the theaudio - no help.  When I tested each speaker in a stereo configuration, the two speakers worked fine.  When I played an mp3 of my music files, the problem still exists.  So I think 'it's maybe a software problem  BINGO!  I worked with Media player, so I switched to Groove and everything works as it is supposed to.  Media Player does not work well.  I wonder if anyone else has this problem and if there is a fix for the Media Player.

• Problem reassembling Pavilion dm4-2015dx

  Okay, so I just bought both a front and rear bezel for my laptop since it broke out a few weeks ago and I just installed them alongside my old screen. I had finished the reassembly of the laptop (to my knowledge) except when I turned it on, it just made noise whirring as if it was about to turn on, beeps twice and then off. I also noticed a smell of burning from the monitor. So I disassembled it once again and noticed nothing extraordinary (again, to my knowledge). The only thing I can think of that could be the cause could be the fact that I use an old screen (which contains a cord for the coverage of the HP logo and the webcam, although the hood frame not backlight accompanying) in combination with a new front and rear bezel. Really, any suggestions would be helpful at this stage. I'm doing something wrong? Suggest you just buy a new LCD? Help.

  What you ask, it is beyond the intended scope of the forum.

  What you should have done, is to use the Insidemylaptop website and also watch videos on Youtube that show your laptop model disassembly\reassembly.

  It is unfortunate that you don't have any experience before disassembling your laptop. This is why we suggest here in the forum and recommend that the service is done by someone who is experienced or certified for the repair of desktop computers and laptops.

  If you have replaced the whole screen broke with an old, that may be a big mistake if it was not entirely compatible. Burning odors when one turns on a laptop is not a thing of God.

  It is impossible for someone on your work on internet quality assurance. We are certainly an internet company connected but we have not advanced this far.

• HP Pavilion dm4-1150ea: Bluetooth stopped wotking on Pavilion DM4

  I have a HP Pavilion dm4-1150ea running under Windows 7 64-bit.

  I bought a receiver bluetooth audio and paired with the laptop and installed a driver. I was able to listen to audio to the receiver but when I closed the laptop and opened it later, it stopped working.

  I looked in Device Manager and the bloetooth radios are no longer there and there is no device under network adapters. They had been there before.

  I rebooted several times and it still does not work. I managed to do the work once and it coincided with put the power cable in. However, it did not work for a long time.

  HP Wireless Assistant says that Bluetooth is disabled in Device Manager.

  I tried to download the latest driver for bluetooth on the HP site, but it won't install because bluetooth is not running.

  At one point, I got a message saying that he was not a USB device. I can see a warning about "Unknown device" icon in the Device Manager USB controllers section.

  I tried to do a system restore, but that failed because it could not access a file.

  Any ideas how I can get blue tooth works again?

• Replacement of the frame and hinges - HP Pavilion dm4 laptop

  I have a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop of 2.5 years. The first hinged on both sides broke that makes it harder for the laptop to close properly and now the frame is breaking apart. Is there a way I can get/buy replacements before other parts are screwed up.

  Yes, I also have this problem (dm4-1050ea).

  It all started on February 2015, when my aunt noticedv that my laptop was nt close properly.  It could be be made to do by pressing half upper (screen cut) to the front to the rear of the closure.

  The hinges then becomes deective that the screen don't would not SOUPLESE nd would not sit just to the place (angle) you open to.

  Following the hinges too stiff beame to exploit, came shortly after the left of the screen/lid and the window broke near the LH hinge (rather than though the bezel as shown in the image above). Then the right hinge broke off, then the screen become deective (mainly a band along the LHS - worked with detached hinges OK))

  So, I find myself with computer work, not 100% functional & broken and needs special care to use. the screen does not work in all areas (a replacement looks like £30-$50), with the virtually hanging screen, need to rplace lying hinges (£10-$15) and also nees any other bits (?) and the knowledge to fix it.  HP say they can't stand any more of this model and have no theparts (from end of 2015).

  It may be beyond the capacity of an almighty ccompany such as HP to find parts, but it does not seem beyond the my ability to get parts of - maybe-2nd hand - other HP broke! - But what I lak is kno detailed ho a skill to perform any repair.

• HP Pavilion dm4: graphics driver Intel & AMD causing Windows Crash

  My laptop is

  HP Pavilion dm4-3107tx Beats Edition Entertainment Notebook PC.   I tried to install the graphics drivers from this link:

  but I could not install the graphics card intel. It is said that the cell does not meet the minimum requirements of the graphics driver.

  I also tried to install AMD and he did. But every time that I reboot, Windows startup crashes.

  Thank you for your query.

  I understand that you have a problem installing your graphics drivers.  After formatting the drive and installation of the Intel graphics driver, you have a problem starting.  Did you use the Recovery Manager to format and reinstall Windows 7?

  You only need to install the driver AMD of the HP driver page because it contains the two pilots.  Please try this process:

  • Uninstall and remove two graphic drivers
  • Restart your laptop
  • Run the HP Support Assistant to help find and install the graphics drivers
  • You can also after the uninstall, remove the driver and restart, download and install just the driver AMD.

  If this problem persists, try removing both drivers and using the Recovery Manager to install the drivers:

Thinking 8-16 GB

  I understand that your 500 GB HARD disk is full and you want to install a larger drive and more ram.  Here is a link to HP Pavilion dm4 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. Please note Chapter 3, page 24, section 15 modules of memory and point 18 drives for replacements recommended for your system. Please be aware that the maximum memory is 8 GB. (found in Chapter 1, page 2, memory). As a 2 TB drive has not been tested in this model, the result is unknown.  This does not mean that it will not work, only that it is not a walk recommended and not supported by HP.

• Pavilion dm4 touchpad

  I upgraded my Pavilion dm4 Entertainment notebook for Windows 10 and my touchpad has stopped working. All my settings are correct, and I checked to see if my touchpad driver was that it is up-to-date. I have no idea what to do. I have not had this problem before. It does not allow me to use it to scroll, highlight or click. All it will let me do is move the mouse and zoom in & out. It drives me crazy. Any suggestions?

  Method 1.

  I suggest you completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall.

  Follow these steps.

  • Press "Windows + X" and click on "Device Manager".

  • In the list of devices, you should see the drivers for the touchpad.

  • Right-click on the device and select "Uninstall".

  • In the dialog box uninstall, make sure that you select the option to remove the driver package from the system. This causes the installed driver package more soon to be deleted.

  • In the Device Manager Action menu, select ""find the hardware changes " option." This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

  Method 2.

  Moreover, if there are no updated drivers available on the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer, then don't download the latest drivers and try to install in compatibility mode of Windows 8. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

  Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  a. download the driver from the manufacturer's website.

  b. right-click on the driver configuration file and click on 'Properties'.

  c. click the "compatibility" tab and check the box ' run this program in compatibility mode for " and select the Windows 8 operating system from the menu drop down and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

  I know there are a lot of post on this issue, but nothing works for me.  I have a Pavilion dm4-1160us entertainment laptop running windows 7 64 bit.  I uninstalled the drivers both graphics and chip and reinstalled (warning says that I was installing was older than the one I had).  Maybe I'm not find the correct drivers to install. There is no audio device HDMI registered on the machine. AUDO devices listed are: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC for speakers and headphones.

  • Completely uninstall the Audio driver.
  • Install driver from the downloaded file.
  • Turn off the TV and the laptop.
  • Connect the HDMI cable.
  • Start by turning on the TV.

  Hi, my F12 key is the amber light and cannot be disabled. And I can't use wifi on my laptop.   Go to Device Manager and right click on the adapter wireless Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000 BGN.

  Select uninstall and check the box uninstall driver.

  Restart and install the latest driver directly from Intel for this model of card.

  The second driver on the list is for W7 x 64.
