  Recently, I tried upgrading my laptop RAM 8 GB which is max you may have to wait. The RAM sticks were (x 2) DDR3 4 GB Samsung 1600 12800 mhz 1.35v. The system has detected the new RAM, showed the new memory and even spent the memory test. But this isn't the windows startup. I tried to clear CMOS. But without success. Do not let me windows. BIOS version is up to date (F29). Is there any setting for this?

  • Reset the BIOS
  • Perform a hard reset
  • Connect the laptop to an external monitor

  Do you see an image that is not flashing on the external screen?

  Hello

  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to see if it will go into the Windows Recovery Console.  If so, use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If Windows loads in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point prior to the issuance and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will try to restart normally.

  If the above didn't help not, but you can access the Windows Recovery Console, choose "Start using the last known good configuration" and press enter - see if it's farther.

• my laptop cannot connect wirelessly to the internet with the built-in wireless adapter

  G50-118NR my client specification identifies my network home qwest DSL WPA2 as public wireless whenever I connect wireless using the Atheros AR5007 802 wireless network adapter. 11 b / g WiFi and does not connect to the internet.  I can change the Private type, but it does not help.  I have restored the laptop using Vista Home Prem 32-bit recovery CD and that did not help.   The wired connection works perfectly and other 'g' and 'n' USB wireless adapters also work very well.

• NB200 laptop cannot boot from USB CD/DVD drive / blinking cursor

  I have a toshiba nb200 - 11L, a little less than 2 years (no guarantee!). Recently, it has developed a problem that prevented him from starting the system and all that happens is I have a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of a black screen. The partitions of the options only are F2 and F12, but these will not allow me to enter in safe mode or use the toshiba recovery option.

  I bought the toshiba on cd rom recovery disk in order to complete a re - install but the bios displays only the HARD drive and floppy drive as an option and it doesn't seem to be any way to add new options.

  I checked the hard drive that seems to be ok. I fear that the problem may be the motherboard that I think will make any repair uneconomic.

  I have a 2 years old Hp Pavilion dv4-1412tx laptop and recently I have a problem with my backlight of the screen. It wobbles a lot and sometimes totally blackoff when I have the screen at certain angles of tilt. It wobbles too much even when I slightly move or shake the laptop. I changed the inverter, but the problem remains. I feel is wrong with the cable/Ribbon that connect the screen on the main body of the laptop. I checked upward with a local computer store and they told me that there is no spare parts for the connector of cable/Ribbon for my particular model. I even made reference interview dv4 guide manual that I downloaded from the hp site and I can't find any references to this particular piece. Is there anyone can help?

  Yes. I just got my replaced dv4-1412tx LCD cable and it works fine now. It took almost 3 weeks for research technician and wait for the new cable to arrive. The part S/N is DC02000IO00-screen LCD - PA (the characters after 2000 is alphabet 'io' not '10'). You can do a google search and even get it on ebay.

  This seems to be a common problem for older models dv4. If you google on the web, you will see a lot of people are facing the same problem. I wish the Hp technical support team can read this message and give appropriate assistance to those in need.
