I would like my pentium to an I5 chipset. Is this possible? If so, can what version of the i5 I use?

Hello

Are you talking about CPU or chipset? Your machine uses 'Intel HM55 Express chipset"that supports multiple CPU. Please use the first manual on the following link:

    Hi for dog,

Windows 7 has been available for download on the Microsoft Store until the latter part of 2012 - however, now, you will need to buy an installation disc from a store.

Windows 7 drivers are available for your laptop - see the link below.

  • Pavilion DV6 - 1247CL upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 8. 1

I want to improve my Pavilion DV6 - 1247 CL Windows Vista at Windows 8. 1. I read on the site of Microsoft support that the only way to upgrade Vista to Windows 8.1 must do a clean install of DVD. Will I have problems with the HP drivers, etc... ? If so, what should I do to avoid these problems?

Yes there is no direct upgrade path from Vista to Windows 8. 1. I provide a counterpoint here. Your laptop is powerful enough to run Windows 8/8.1 and I bet all the drivers work just very rare possible exceptions that will be easy to fix. I would say what you can do to give up Vista is a good thing. You might want to consider Windows 7 as an alternative, but all that will take place in 7 runs generally 8/8.1.

  • Pavilion p6267c: upgrading the video card ATI Radeon HP x 64 on hp pavilion p6267c after upgrade from Windows 10

Improved my p6267c HDMI (with factory-installed ATI Radeon HD 4350 graphics card) to Win 7 winning 10 and lost some display resolution.  Had to move to resolution of 1920 x 1080 (recommended setting for my HP 2509 m monitor) up to 1680 x 1050 to maximize the size of the rear screen, to what she was using Win 7.  Now the screen's size, but the text is a bit fuzzy and just not as strong as before.  I've updated the driver to the most recent available for this old 2009 ATI card: 8.970.100.9001 which is the latest ATI and Microsoft for this card running Windows 10.  I tried the support hp and google for a replacement graphics card that will work in this office with its 300 Watt power supply.  I will modernize the card and power if necessary to refine the text I get now.   I'm not a gamer, so did not need graphics high power.  I can't believe there is not an answer out there for someone who has experienced the same problem.  Although I love Windows 10, I even considered back to Win 7.

PROBLEM SOLVED!   I took your suggestion and actually found a good deal on a different graphics card to replace the ati radeon HD 4350. BestBuy.com, I found a highly rated card that users have reported similar problems of fixed resolution after the 10th Winidows upgrade.  The map was available on sale for $40.99 (Orig 59.99).  It was available in my local store for 43.99, but they it ot me for the price online.  I am now running my monitor of 2509 m hp at 1920 x 1080 resolution recommended and everything's fine.  Here is the link for the nvidia GEOFORCE 610 GT 1024 MB DDR3 (model VCGGT610XPB) card:

The provided Driver CD is not working, but the website www.pny.com gave a newer driver for Windows 10 (64-bit).

You physically impossible to move your USB 3.0 only medium is a PCMIA card that has connections USB3. With respect to the processor that depends on the P/n, and then repair will tell you if you can or cannot go to i5.

    1. the older system with Win7 should not go Win10 that HP provides no support any drivers for it unless it was made in 2013.

    2. your specific HP PS comment is false with no facts to backup. We should refrain from making these comments - does nothing to help other users.

    Hi all

My laptop is HP pavilion Dv6t 2000 CTO, product no.: NQ615AV, run the Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

    It has two unknown device:

    1. PCI Express Root Complex
    2. Intel PM55 Express Chipset LPC Interface Controller - 3B 03

    Driver status: code 28.

I haved installed driver: audio, graphics, Player cards, chipset (sp45629), quick launch.

    Please help me!

    Thank you very much.

The Unit came with Windows 7, or is it upgraded to Windows 7? If you upgrade, what was a facility on the spot or own?
It was like that out of the box, or was it a recent development? Nothing changed at all before that? It is strange for drivers just disappear.

Have you tried to use the automatic update of the Intel driver? If not, go here and select it. It must analyze and find the drivers for the listed products that both are involved with the motherboard and chipset.

    Hello

Sorry, but HP is not currently supported on your laptop with Windows 7 drivers.

You can try dowmloading the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 WHQL driver from NVIDIA. . Try the detection function on the page of the NVIDIA driver.

You may find that a driver that can be used for the games is going to be difficult with Windows 7.

Have you tried Windows Update? I just read that there is some news of NVIDIA GeForce Go drivers available.

    Best regards

  • Pavilion p6-2133w: upgrade Windows 10 Pro activation after replacing the processor and motherboard

I upgraded a Pavilion P6 W10 Pro in September. Everything was going well until the motherboard and processor failed. When I replaced the hardware I am prompted to activate Windows - I have the product key for Windows 7 Home Prem OA office machine that does not work for W10 Pro. I don't know how W10 Pro ran six months and support MS insists I do decline to W10. Two questions.

1 how W10 differ from the W10 Pro?
    2. How is this W10 Pro could have been improved in Windows 7 Home Prem OA? Looks like a decoy on the BONE.

    Greetings,

The replacement of the mother/CPU card can be extra monkey wrench in this situation.

You cannot use a key of Win 7 Home on Win 10 Pro.

You will need to install Win 10 and then move on to Win 10 Pro. Win 10 going to Win 10 percent if you had an activated copy of win 10 Pro.

    1. other features such as BitLocker and domain join.

    2. I have no idea how you've gone from Win 7 Home win 10 Pro. Were you a BETA-Tester (Windows Insider program)? I upgraded from Win 7 to win 10 Pro, because I was a BETA-Tester,

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro but ignored the input of the product key. Windows activated, but not right away.

    See you soon
