    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02548013

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See p. 23. Your laptop has the CPU i3 - 370 M and UMA (Intel HD) video so, unfortunately, the processor is not extensible because it is soldered to the motherboard. Put video updated would also require the replacement of the motherboard. CPU upgrades are very difficult and rarely justify financially, in any case, but in your case is not possible at all unless you replace the motherboard, which is even more expensive and less be justified financially. The cost of high end motherboard and CPU and work, you might as well buy a new laptop.

But all is not lost. The best upgrade, you can do is to install an SSD. You can also switch to 8 GB of RAM. An upgrade will be useful, together, they would be a game-changer.

You would need 2 x 4 GB modules specified thus:

    Memory module (DDR3 PC3 - 10600 1333 MHz) - 4096 MB 599092-001

    https://www.Amazon.com/HP-VH641AT-4-GB-DDR3-PC3-10600/DP/B0030L3B8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1472066313 & SR = 8-1 & Keywords = 599092-001

This model is very, very picky about the memory and it must have 8 black blocks on the side, not 4. Also very intolerant of memory not specified in general. Remember that I bound will work. 'How to' on the manual p.60.

SSDS are a little harder to choose (as many options) and what I need to know is your budget. I recommend at least a concert 500 class SSD and which will cost $120-160. Since you have 10 Windows, it would be easy to download the Microsoft recovery media directly and simply reinstall, then find the drivers and applications and migrate the data. The installation will be ignited automatically the first time that the computer is connected to the internet. You can also clone the existing content of the new SSD hard drive, but I do not recommend with a facility that is malfunctioning.

We also probably discuss blowing dust and verification of thermal management in general. A laptop that suddenly becomes very slow, as you describe may have a hard drive problem, too. You need to run diagnostics on the hard drive and also just to check to see if it is full. Drops of performance as a rock if the hard disk reaches 90 percent and more capacity.

Indeed, I am of the India.

First of all, I would recommend what I felt the better for OUR laptops. Mine is a DV6 6121tx with the config following-Core i7 2630QM at 2.00 GHz with TB up to 2.90 GHz

    12 GB DDR3 RAM

256 GB SSD + 640 GB HDD (will tell you more info on my dual setup of HARD drive later.

    HD6770M 2 GB with DDR5 Mem

So everything I post here, you can directly go and fix it.

For my double HARD - SSD drive setup, here go it.

4.SSD - GB to 256 GB Samsung 840 EVO (best value) or 840 Pro (expensive, but with the best possible performance). Buy SSD that from PrimeABGB - the best online store for SSDS.

Just a few errors that I don't want to make you-

1 put the SSD in Caddy and cable of optical drive on a HARD disk. Reason: your SSD will be connected to the Sata 6.0GBps port. You may think that you can directly put a SSD instead of HARD drive and put the HARD drive in the caddy, but HARD DRIVE could vibrate in caddy culminating in his death.

2 carefully remove the ODD mounting plate and put it on the caddy. You get an extra façade with caddy. With cable, you can still use your DVD burner drive as external.

For your RAM, anyone with a 1333 MHz will be. CASE latency for most of the brands are the same. Do not go for a 1600 MHz, as it will be a waste of money.

I should also the total list of expenses involved in this upgrade-

    1 SSD EVO - Rs.11, 000

    2 SSD Caddy-Rs 750

    3.cable - Rs.650

    4.4 GB OF RAM-~ 2600

    Total - Rs.15000.

Believe me, you will fall in love with your laptop again.

Just a word of warning-reading on google how to make the best of the SSD. Its much different from your HARD drive and a lot of need to follow different practices. Also, I recommend for a 128 GB, as I personally have 185 GB free on SSD after winning 8 + all apps + 3 heavy games installed. So you can save any amount it.

    Good shopping

  • HP Pavilion dv6 6080 ep: update of HP Pavilion dv6 6080 ep memory

    Hello

I own a HP Pavilion dv6 6080ep. It came with 4 GB of RAM and it has an intel processor i5. In order to do an upgrade of RAM I get Manual HP on memory full capacity. It is said that for this model, with the i5 processor it could go up to 16 GB of memory. When I searched for the spare part of HP, he said that both the 621569-001, the 4 GB and the 634091-001, for the 8 GB, should be replaced by 641369-001 and 670034-001. Let me stress to you that these replacements have slightly different form of the original. I searched among the brands of memory there, specifically Kingston and crucial that said for this model I can get 8GB in mind. I think sincerely lost now. The amount of memory can my laptop really gets and there is no record of RAM I should know about off?

    Thanks in advance,
    Paulo

PS: I was planning on getting a tp of Kingston KVR1333D3S9 / 8G add to my original 4 GB. (for a total of 12 GB)

This is max 16 GB of DDR3 - 1333 PC3 - 10600 SO-DIMM aka. DDR3-1600 will downclock at 1333, and that's what you're probably see. I'd get 2 identical modules and not mix and match old and more recent memory. You prefer the modules with 8 blocks of black memory on each side (low density) as the HPs like the better guy.

    This works, for example:

    http://www.Amazon.com/G-skill-204-pin-so-DIMM-laptop-F3-1600C11D-16GSL/DP/B00HHDUEDG/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&QID=1427144332&SR=8-14&keywords=DDR3-1600+so-DIMM

Even though it says 1.35 volts it will work also to 1.5 volts if necessary. memory of 1.35 volts is a better product because they choose only the best RAM for low voltage memory chips.

    Hello

I have HP Pavilion DV6-6169se, and I'm looking to update.

Can I know what is the available upgrade options?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Since the following specifications:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02866520

    My suggestions (using this order):

    1. RAM: you can go to 8 GB, this will improve a bit.  Please use the following site to scan your machine. It will tell you exactly what you need and where to buy, or you can also use the information to buy elsewhere:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/systemscanner

2 replace the HDD with a SSD: you can see many improvements during startup, downtime, open applications and save files. If you run applications that require a lot of Scriptures, SDD is much faster than the HARD disk.

3 CPU: upgrade CPU on laptops is a delicate issue. Please check the list before I go buy. The first manual on the following list a unelistede CPU is supported:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & LC = in & Product = 5116493

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

There are several faster processors (i7) listed, but you can't use them because of the motherboard. There is a different motherboard for dual processors and quad core and you already have the fastest dual core that is compatible, so you're at the top of the curve without upgrade potential.

    Thank you

Your laptop uses an Intel ICH9 Southbridge chip, which is capable of operation SATAII (300MB\s).

You can still use SATA600 HDDs, but they will be compatible down and don't use the SATA specification of your laptop sata controllers motherboard are capable.

Hybrid disk hard mobile compatibility with your laptop is unknown. Most people upgrade laptops equipped with SSD and existing hard drives.  You can avoid the uncertainty factor by installing a legacy hard drive or an SSD.

  • Pavilion DV6 2155dx: upgrade HARD drive to SSD

I want to upgrade my laptop Hp HDD to the SSD. Very successful on the 2 HP desktops. But not a great success on the laptop. Windows does not start with the installed SSD. Black screen with how to text of amendments, but no solution. Checking the BIOS it seems too basic and has no provision to select the correct setting. How can I upgrade the laptop to recognise and start of the SSD, as desktop computers.

Problem solved. Maybe this helps someone else.

For reference, the SSD HARD drive migration has been completed with Samsung software tools.

Although a similar migration was very successful on 2 offices of HP prior as the PC starts fine, this time the laptop set to level did not boot from SSD.

Based on the reviews elsewhere on the web, with the portable operating from the original HARD disk, I adjusted the BIOS boot sequence to boot from the internal CD-ROM. I was then already migrated SSD HARD drive. Then I started from a prior agreement prepared the repair Windows 7 Bootable disc - now I know why they are so very precious! - and started to repair startup disk said. After a few additional steps miners, he says the problem fixed and carried out traditional, clean startups.

Also, I can confirm that the Pavilion DV6 works very well with a 250 GB SSD. Most good, this is a speedster. There is therefore no limitations to 160 GB the HP Document seems to suggest.

You can't pass the chipset. Even with a desktop computer you could do either. The chipset is what is integrated on the motherboard in a notebook and on a motherboard for a desktop PC.

The graphic solution that HP has tested with the motherboard installed are the following: what you have is the only option offered HP. The installed AMD A8 APU has the AMD Radeon™ HD 6620 G of the graphics on the APU chip as a system on a chip.
