Pavilion dv6-2111TcX: upgrade a dv6-2111TcX msata ssd
Hello
Can I put my dv6-2111TcX (Date05/2010) with a surfboard msata? I found there are two slots miniPCIe (AverMedia & WLAN) in the laptop.
And that the limitation of capacity if so?
Thank you
N ° the use of the as peripheral storage mSATA came not until the 2d and 3rd gen Intel Core processors and yours is first generation.
If you try to put a mSATA drive in one of the ports, it will not be recognized and can prevent the laptop to boot.

Hey people,
I want to improve my lapotop hp (pavilion dv6-2138 core i5 M430 2.27 GHz), 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD HD.
Will it work on this laptop?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, it will be.
Pages 4-10 and - 11 of this manual:
You need 2 of them:
4096 MB, 1066 MHz DDR-3 DIMM 579156-001
Any SATA 2.5 inch SSD will suggest working and I have the 250 gig. A concert 128 is a bit of containment and not much cheaper:

Can I put this DV6-1160ed (Date06, 2009) with a surfboard msata?
And what can the size of GB?
Thank you Jan
P. 66 of the manual here:
TV tuner module. This laptop is previous mSATA cards storage, so if you put one in the slot (it should) the system will not recognize that anything is present. mSATA WSSD support arrived with Intel Core 2d or 3rd gen processors and yours is the much older era of Core 2 Duo.

HP Pavilion dv6-6b78el: HP Pavilion dv6-6b78el HDD SSD upgrade
Hello
I'm interestend in the upgrade of my SSD and HDD to, to do this, I have a question.
First of all to all types of SSD less 2.5 "fit in my laptop? Second question on SSD info, I need to check something on the speed or it wont fit my real compatibility motherboard? Third and last question is about the connector, I saw in my current HARD drive, it is compatible with all types of SSD or I need to check something when you purchase it?Thank you for your time.
Good day to evryone.
Here is the Service Manual:
See pages 52 to 54 for the procedure to access the hard disk, remove and replace.
To answer your questions in order: no, your laptop is not compatible with the small mSATA readers that resemble the memory modules. The only type of SSD, you can use is a 2.5 inches wide 7 or 9.5 mm thick SATA SSD. These are the most common type and there is a confusing choice from there. My own go - to SSD is a Samsung 850 Evo:
You need to check the speed or anything like that or worry about the configuration of the BIOS, if you use Windows 7 or higher. Treat is as a hard drive. The physical package of the reader; in other words, where the connectors and the holes of mounting and the form and the size of the box itself are the same as a hard drive mechanical except that it is likely to be thinner, 7 mm instead of 9.5 mm. He always perfectly fits in the cart or the slot where the old drive.
If you need help for reinstalling software or anything else, after the return.

Pavilion dv6t-7000: upgrading DV6t - 7000 HD for SSD

I think to upgrade my hard drive to an SSD. I have a 640 GB SATA drive with form factor of 2.5 "X 1/8 h. I would appreciate if you could recommend an SSD compatible with more storage capacity of 160 GB and a guide on how to install it."
Thank you very much!
The best SSD on the market is a Samsung Evo 850. A 240 gig can be purchased here:

ProBook 6450 b (ATI): the upgrade of my Probook with mSATA SSD
Hello! ProBook 6450 b. I want to upgrade my computer with mSATA SSD drive. I've got slot free mini-PCIE (what is expected for the WWAN card). The problem is that I don't know if this Probook (updated of course!) BIOS supports modyfications like this. Can anyone help?
Kind regards!
I happen to be sitting here with his cousin the 6530 b working on it for a friend and I can tell you that it is earlier than mSATA WSSD readers. The crack is only for a WWAN card. If you put a disc mSATA in it the computer does not respond.

6199ee Pavilion - LX218EA: upgrade of ram hp pavilion dv6-6199ee
can I switch from ram to my labtop hp pavilion dv6-6199ee from 8g to 16g?
Hello
The following link shows its specifications:
It says clearly: expandable up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory (means 8GB max).
But the maintenance and Service Guide says, it uses Intel processor (CPU) for this purpose, you can upgrade to 16 GB (page 5):
Please use the right part on page 66 of the manuals or at least same specs above.
Kind regards.

HP Pavilion DV6-6169se: the HP Pavilion DV6-6169se upgrade
Hello
I have HP Pavilion DV6-6169se, and I'm looking to update.
Can I know what is the available upgrade options?
Thank you.
Hello
Since the following specifications:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02866520
My suggestions (using this order):
1. RAM: you can go to 8 GB, this will improve a bit. Please use the following site to scan your machine. It will tell you exactly what you need and where to buy, or you can also use the information to buy elsewhere:
http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/systemscanner2 replace the HDD with a SSD: you can see many improvements during startup, downtime, open applications and save files. If you run applications that require a lot of Scriptures, SDD is much faster than the HARD disk.
3 CPU: upgrade CPU on laptops is a delicate issue. Please check the list before I go buy. The first manual on the following list a unelistede CPU is supported:
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & LC = in & Product = 5116493
Good luck.

Pavilion dv6-3225dx: laptop fails to boot after upgrading RAM.
Hello
Recently, I tried upgrading my laptop RAM 8 GB which is max you may have to wait. The RAM sticks were (x 2) DDR3 4 GB Samsung 1600 12800 mhz 1.35v. The system has detected the new RAM, showed the new memory and even spent the memory test. But this isn't the windows startup. I tried to clear CMOS. But without success. Do not let me windows. BIOS version is up to date (F29). Is there any setting for this?
Thanks for all the help!

HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej: Upgrade CPU
Hi HP.
I want to improve my processor.
Current specification: Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv6-3310ej CPU: type of processor - Intel Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz BIOS version: F.29 OS: Windows 7 professional 64 bit manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
With the processor on which I can replace my current processor?
Here is the Service Manual:
There are several faster processors (i7) listed, but you can't use them because of the motherboard. There is a different motherboard for dual processors and quad core and you already have the fastest dual core that is compatible, so you're at the top of the curve without upgrade potential.

Pavilion Dv6-1446ee: RAM UPGRADE
HI experts,
My laptopn Pavilion dv6 1446ee has two slots of memory, each use "1 GB PC2-6400, 800 MHz, DDR2 RAM"
Now, if I want to upgrade the memory to 4 GB, then should I modernize the two slots? Or upgrade to the 4 GB single slot will work?

Hello
Your machine currently have 2 x 1 GB, you can switch to 2 x 4 GB (8 GB total):
http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c01963543
1 location with 4 GB works but why you would do this, DDR3 RAM (DDR2, not) is cheap now
Kind regards.
