Pavilion dv6: need window7 boot disc

I need disc window7. What I have to buy or I can buy a software from Microsoft?
The windows Boot Manager screen appears.

Hello

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be of the same version that originally came with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write a ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Image is Digital River.

Images of Windows 7.

  • Pavilion dv6 - 7095ca: no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key

Thanks for your help and please excuse my bad English.
Please check item 7, if you're in a hurry. This is the point with my Pavilion DV6 - 7095-CA:

    (1) the operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit), the provided original with my 7095CA Pavilion, more updates HP until 2013, and all Windows updates until July 2015.

    (2) now I can't access the operating system and I have no interface UEFI. I can see that I press F2 at startup, just a test simple disk in BIOS f.0Une (the test shows that the disc is OK)

    (3) return in 2013 it took a drive failure. I did replace the disk and reinstall original Win7, all updates, including the HPS, win7 updates and all my personal software.

    (4) at this time, I bought a spare hard drive and did a complete copy of the disc using Partition Wizard bootable cd. The second disc has been tested and worked perfectly, with all of my personal software on this subject.

So I have 2 HDs identical with the same system on both drives, fully working and tested.

    (5) a few days ago I came across the HP website and made a few updates, including the BIOS f.0Une (the last BIOS update, was of course).

    (6) after BIOS update ran, I received the message "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".

    (7) I couldn't solve the problem, so I did remove the hard drive and install my backup drive, which lay in a dry place without danger from 2013.

    (8) I turned on the computer and got the same message "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key", and I couldn't find any way to solve this problem.

Now I'm doing a new installation on a third HD everything works very well, so far, in the new facility and I will never buy HP again.

My hard drive has failed and now I'm making constant pop ups to replace

I think Windows to transfer to an external drive until I can replace internally, but I need to access the bios to set the options for monitoring of the boot every time I use f10 to start in the bios it is as if it is popped and gives me the error screen smart disk where my only options are to start windows or run diagnostics.

Yes, get out of the hard drive and connect it to another PC. Get assistance from your service manual for the procedure to apply for, it:

  • Dual-Boot Pavilion dv6 does not work

    Hello

    I bought a Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7 pre-installed. Now I want to dual-boot with Linux (Fedora).

    (1) this laptop has a 500 GB hard drive. So, using diskmgmt.msc, I shrunk the size of the primary partition by about 100 GB. Now, I have that much free space.

    (2) figured out the magic handshake to get the BIOS to run (the F10 hold to power up).

    (3) connected the DVD of the Fedora Installer. He settled in saying that there is not enough space. Tried several options for installation in 'free space' and 'replace existing Linux installation. Same question. Note that I have not yet tried Ubuntu.

    (4) booted back to Windows 7, looked again diskmgmt.msc. I noticed that I have the following partitions. 'System', which is 200 MB (NTFS), player C which is now 351 GB (NTFS), D drive Recovery 13 GB (NTFS), HP tools 103 MB (FAT32). Here are the possible question, all these partitions are listed as "primary". I read somewhere that there may be only 4 primary partitions (it can be extended partitions).

    My questions are:

    (1) is the fact that all primary readers are allocated to preventing me to install a secondary operating system (in this case Linux)?

    (2) if so, what are the disadvantages of the removal of the partition of HP tools (except perhaps less boring tools automatically runs all the time - with no apparent way to stop).

    Thanks for your interest.

I've heard nothing back for 20 days, which raises the question to know if HP support people even read this, much less provide support on this forum. In any case, I managed to run dual-boot on mine. I hope this helps someone out there doing similar things. Here are the steps that I had to do (and some I do not have):

    1. Created the HP recovery discs... Well I tried to anyway. This process is configured to do one time only. Unfortunately burning failed on the first (I put by mistake a double layer DVD-R in the drive, but the drive itself is supported) and burning failed, but the process seems to still consider that he "get". Bottom line, if I ever corrupted hard drive, I'm out of luck (unless a HP support person has other suggestions).
    2. Bought a 1 TB external drive which has an ESATA interface with intention to save the different partitions of Windows.
    3. I bought Nero 9, which is supposed to make backups. However, he seems to have a bug where it said that I could not make a backup disk of an account that does not have administrator rights. The account I was using has Admin rights, so I guess that the program cannot handle permissions Windows 7 style yet.
    4. Defragmented the big drive (351 GB) C.
    5. Using diskmgmt.msc, used the "shrink" option to reduce its size to 351 GB GB 251, who did not assigned 100 GB on the disk.
    6. Using diskmgmt.msc, assigned a drive letter to the partition of HP tools (see the list of partitions in the previous post).
    7. Using Windows Explorer, tools HP Score Watch now upward because he received a drive letter (it was not visible before). I copied the contents of HP tools in a folder on the C drive, just in case I needed to get it back. It's only a few MBs.
    8. Once again using diskmgmt.msc, deleted the partition of HP tools. This frees up a single primary partition on the disk.
    9. Rebooted the laptop from the Fedora 12 installation disc. Now grub / gparted is happy because he is free to use partition.
    10. Chose to install grub on the MBR, definition of Win 7 as the default bootloader on the player option.
    11. Completed the full installation of Fedora.
  • HHD has failed and needs to be replaced on my out of warranty Pavilion DV6 (Windows Vista)

I have a laptop DV6 Pavilion running Windows Vista that I bought in 2009.  I realize that is no longer under warranty HP so I have to pay for any changes or corrections to this computer.

Earlier this week, the hard drive (the one included with the computer) failed with error 03f0. It is my understanding that this error is a fatal error and the drive is essentially 'toast '... Unfortunately, I do NOT have a backup of the image of that hard drive. I have just the recovery disks that I created when I got to the computer originally.  I quite like this computer I would try out running back (if possible) without having to spend a LOT of money. In my simple mind how how I get this computer running and upward would buy/install a compatible replacement hard drive and boot the system with the recovery discs. Unfortunately, I think my plan is simply probably naïve and I probably need to do other things. So I need some advice before you start this process and possibly wasting my time and money.

I need answers to some of these questions:

-Will it record Windows/Vista OS and more recovery disks to get the computer running with a new hard drive?

-If I need Windows OS disc, can I go directly to Windows/8?  OR do I need start with Windows Vista and then upgrade to Windows/8 later?  Use recovery discs and all Windows operating system? OR I can get running with just the disks in the Windows operating system?

-If I can get the hard drive and Windows operating system loaded, I guess I need HP drivers, etc... Does it mean that I have to get the disks from HP's Windows operating system or can I get it from Microsoft or Amazon and download the drivers from HP later?

Thanks to anyone who can help me here for advice! It will save me a LOT of time and money.

  • HP Pavilion DV6 3122TX recovery deleted partition, need to install windows

    Hello

I have a Pavilion DV6 3122TX laptop. System would block extensively when I ever access any file, was not a virus or whatever it is, I discovered it was the HD due to the error at startup screen "error of hard disk, hard drive 1 (3F1)", I ran all the auto controls and diagnostics but nothing improved. So I formatted the disc completely deleted all partitions even recoveries and other (my bad).

My recovery disc can not be read by the laptop DVDRom Red flashes for a few seconds and then nothing happens, "said no system disk. Replace the disk and then pres any key blah blah blah... "The drive is fine I checked. I changed the boot options to boot from a CD/DVD internal.

I need as soon as possible a working windows as a temporary solution. I can't install Windows 7, it seems because of some lock (turns on it was unable to detect the HARD drive). Windows XP cannot see the player because of the requirement of AHCI driver (cannot switch back to IDE) due to the lock of the BIOS. Then I tried the method of slipstream AHCI driver, now, here's my problem I just can't find the AHCI drivers for my laptop since I can not connect to Win to check with CPUz. Can someone direct me to text-mode drivers for this laptop at the wake in winxp x 86 using NliteOS. I'll take the laptop to be fixed at a service center next month, but now I need a solution. Even if you can fix my recovery solution, it would be great.

I can access the hard disk using Linux. So the HARD drive is ok, please do not refer me to change the HARD drive that is not an option right now. (HARD drive was the problem)

    Sorry for this long post
    Thanks in advance...

    Hello

Hard drive error, hard drive 1 (3F1) is the disk failure hard try loading in the Bios pass Diagnostics, perform the test, if it fails, you will need to replace the drive. In case your hard drive is not detected in the Bios, you must reinstall the part of the rear panel.

  • Files fragmented in disc of recovery on laptop Pavilion dv6

Product name: HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    Product number: LH601UA #ABA

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I recently installed Piriform Defraggler to use as a tool for disk defragmentation. I finished scanning and defragmenting the drive and decided to scan the recovery disc. My analysis showed me that I have a fragmentation of 91 percent of the 14.6 GB on the disc. I don't not sure if that means anything or not, so before I had rushed around trying to solve this problem, only to cause damage, that I wanted to check what to do here.

    Hello:

A very good move on your part.

It is recommended NEVER to defragment the partition recovery under any circumstances.

The fact that this partition is almost full and very fragmented has no effect on the overall performance of your laptop.

Never store all files on the partition recovery no more.

Pretend it does not exist (unless and until what you need).

  • Recovery disc for HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx

    Hello

Recently my hard drive crashed on my HP pavilion dv6-1245dx running Windows 7 (64-bit). I bought a new hard drive, but I don't have a recovery disc for my Windows 7 64-bit operating system course. I tried to look in the Support & drivers of order recovery disks, but they offer only disks of Vista. How can I get the recovery disc for my computer? The warranty on this computer is exhausted.

    Hello:

Product for your laptop specifications indicate that it comes with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

What is the version of the Microsoft Windows product key sticker on the bottom of your laptop?

If it is Vista, you will need to order a set of recovery disks Vista.

If you have the product key 25 character Windows 7 64 bit you can make your own regular installation of W7 media and allows to install W7.

Here is how to do this if you have the product key for W7...

Use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. The link below. You need a DVD or a 4 GB flash drive using the USB compilation method.

Use the product key of windows 7 of 25 characters to activate your installation.

    http://download.CNET.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-download-tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below. Download the Windows 7 version that is on your product (Home Premium, professional or ultimate) key to apply.

  • HP pavilion dv6 with restore disc

I need to restore my laptop. He keeps asking for the disk, but I never made any.  Is it possible that I can find a download?

    HP Pavilion dv6 notebook

    Product number: LW260UA #ABA

    A8 - 3500M APU with Radeon AMD

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

  • Pavilion dv6-2155dx: need to fix the card wifi for dv6-2155dx

Hey guys. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6-2155dx with a Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card. The card was to die for a long time now and about to go off completely. All other PCs and phones connect properly to the internet here, except that this laptop connects, but drops to around every 15 minutes, limited connectivity or so and I have to turn off the wifi and then turn it back on to operate for another 15 minutes. Its incredibly annoying and I need help to make sure that I have buy the correct replacement so that it will work. Here is the info I have:

    HP Pavilion dv6-2155 x
    No. WA781UA #ABA

Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card
    Running Windows 7 64-bit OS
All the drivers are up to date, the computer is free of viruses, spyware, etc.

Basically, I need to know if there is a model specific card Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 that came with this laptop that I need order. I've seen several different of these cards for sale online, but they have all the different numbers and I just need maybe a link or something to show me the exact replacement I need.

Thank you very much for your time and help!

    Yes, you need this one

    https://www.Amazon.com/Intel-5100-512AN_HMW-wireless-572507-001/DP/B00O0GG1L2

The maintenance manual does not list a Centrino Wireless - N 1000 card. You must not only the correct chip, but he must have a part number of HP. Probably your card has this number on it, on a label or on the label that the number of "SPS" and it will be 6 numbers and a dashboard and then three other number 001 usually.

The 5100 card is dual-band 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz so is in fact a better map and will work.

    Post back with more questions.
