  • should I take out the battery when the laptop is plugged in

Hello everyone, starting here. I have a question about my hp dv7-4274nr laptop... I said, when you use the computer should I take out the battery when it is plugged in to the 110 (ankle) is this true?

    Thanks Mike

No, the only reason would be if you use the laptop on the sector for a long time, like a month or more, then drain the battery in 30-40%, and remove, store in a cool place.

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

Is this a laptop battery? How old is it? You may need to buy a new

  • Battery does not charge even when it is plugged

    Hey world-

I currently have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 I bought in April 2008. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my battery has not been reloaded, even when it's plugged in, and I confirmed it by clicking on the icon the battery and reading, "plugged in, not charging.» Because my battery is over a year old, I advanced and bought a new battery AND a new laptop computer charger, just in case where it's the two that were dead/defective.

However, the issue has not changed: battery still says: "plugged in, not charging.»

I checked with different points of sale, I changed my savings 'power' on my computer and I looked over my ports - everything is in working order.

How can I get this problem resolved?

    Hello

    Is worn or old battery?

Check with Dell Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in the Dell forums
for problems known. There may be BIOS or other updates available from Dell.

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today
systems overload are not a problem.

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

  • Freezing up ONLY when it is PLUGGED in, DO NOT when executing a battery

I'm having a problem with my computer toshiba laptop.  When I plug it and use it, it freezes. After many experiments, I discovered that when I leave it unplugged and run it just on the battery, it does not freeze upwards.  Help.  This is crazy.  What would cause such a thing.  I tried other points of sale, I tried to use the power strips.  It freezes only when it is plugged.

    Hi zianez,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message?

    3. do you have other external devices connected to the computer?

    Method 1

I suggest that you reset the parameters of power plan on the laptop to default settings, then check if it works.

    (a) open the power supply Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Power Options.

    (b) according to the plan that you want to change, click change plan settings.

    (c) now, click change advanced power settings

    (d) click on restore defaults for this plan.

    (e) click applyand OK

    Check if the problem persists.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails then I suggest that you check in the event viewer to find out the cause of the issue and after return with details.

What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?

  • My battery does not charge even when it is plugged and my orange light blinks when it is plugged.

My cord broke first, then I got the exact cord to fit my computer. Them I got 75% battery charge, but even when it is plugged in the light to connect it to the computer itself has never been white once again, it flashes orange. Now, I'm down to 2% and I tried to load it. It will not be loaded. I tried to take the battery out and just have it is plugged in, but still it flashes orange. Not white as before. What could be wrong?

The battery? Batteries will you know. Tried to contact the Office of support for your laptop brand?

  • The battery charge falls even when it is plugged into the satellite series

I have a laptop satellite and although it recognizes the power adapter when it is connected and that the icon in the taskbar shows "load", the percentage of the battery charge seems down.

It is only while the laptop is turned on, because it does not charge the battery when it is turned off.
I didn't know that he used the power of the battery so that hip, so I'm puzzled by this not only why the battery doesn't seem to be in charge, but also why the battery seems to fall once the laptop doesn't have to use it anyway.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

I saw this problem on my own laptop in the past. even if the laptop is charging, the battery seems to fall in charge.

This indicates that the battery life is coming to an end, there are a limited number of cycles of load for a battery before it dies.
Also when you have the computer is off fresh is always lost at a considerable pace, because the battery is good, "die."

You can't do anything on this issue except to buy a new replacement battery for your laptop computer to a repair center authorized Toshiba. This should answer your question.

  • The screen brightness on battery and when it is plugged

Good if the brightness of the screen while it is plugged is currently set to '100% ', but I can't seen anything, but when I disconnect screen illuminates a lot even if it is set to '40% '.

Anyone have any ideas? I tried fiddling around with different power plans, but no luck for now. So I can't basically works when it is plugged in that gets really annoying.

    Cheers!

    Keith, Brian,
    Thanks for your help.

  • BlackBerry smartphones which drained my battery?

There's 1 billion to these threads; I don't know why none of them can be consolidated and stickied so we don't have to re - write one every time.

Heres my thing because it probably isn't related to one of the others.

I've suspended my cell phone service because I can't afford it so, basically, I was using my storm as my alarm clock.  Last Tuesday (24) I had fully charged it when I went to bed. didn't this storm but only to set and turn off my alarm.

Sunday night I still had energy from the battery to the left; Fortunately, I think he said I had about 65% + or something

Last night or rather this morning (Tuesday) I went to set my alarm clock and my storm was DEAD.  I took out the battery and then put it back in but nothing happened. No re only enabled buttons.  Now, why the hell there he said I had more than 50% and then hours later he wasn't still on?

Here's the next puzzle game.  So I knew I had a spare part; battery fully charged, so I inserted, it turned on and voila 'passed all tests.  Now, I went to bed at 230 am (late I know) I watched about 20 minutes of video and then had a playlist of songs about 4, so I can go to sleep my alarm was set for 845 am. I know for a fact that he went off cause that I turned it off and oddly enough I went back to sleep.  When I really woke up at 11:00; My Storm was DEAD; I took the battery and put it back in, but nothing happened.

So lets pretend for a minute that my playlist, drained my battery. is it possible that the battery had just enough power to wake me up when it has been set to turn off?  Or what?

I did a search and found that same plugging in the unit to a charger that can take up to 20 minutes before it is competely on again so I do.  But a fully charged battery is dead to 9hrs... why? Was - it because once the playlist which made it still drained battery? I am sure that I left it on a playlist one night before but it certainly doesn't have the completely empty.

Storm would not turn on at all.

    30minutes on 1 battery

    30 minutes on another battery

1 h on the first battery

    NOTHING

He took down to the store and they said that my charger port in the thing was faulty... that he was not in charge.

It is a possiblity that the storm gave me a false reading all the time.

It took more than 5 hours to RELOAD my battery COMPLETELY; and he has never done this before so my another storm was really defective since it was not really good battery.

    Theres my solution

I am out of work at 3 pm by the time I get down, it could be 330 pm or maybe even at 16:00. I now have my other (spare) battery which could take awhile too lol

  • iPad does not load when it is plugged.

My iPad and iPhone don't charge at all or very slowly when it is plugged into the outlet House or in the car while they are on. They must be turned off in order to load. The battery icon shows that they are in charge. I use a couple of different USB cords. My main USB cords are cords original Apple. Would the battery icon show that happens when there is no change in the percentage of charge?

Should I have all the applications closed during charging? Are my old just get or carry out USB connections?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello

Buy a new apple charger also try another point of power.

    See you soon

  • Satellite M60-132 charges its battery when its on!

    Hello

I have a M60-132 who had a battery problem. I plug it into the socket and turn it on, then when it goes to windows it charges the battery for a few seconds and after that it stops loading process, but she still continues to operate.

When I turn so far, it starts to load. In short: it will not charge the battery when the phone is turned on and the work!

Please tell me whats wrong with it? How can I solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Hello

    In my opinion, there are two possibilities;
Either the laptops battery is faulty, or there is something wrong with the electronic power supply on the motherboard.

If the battery is defective and then a short replacement would help you but a motherboard problem is more complicated, and would be a costly affair.
But in both cases the parties must be checked by a technician before replace you it.
