Pavilion dv6t-7000 QE: upgrade factory ssd for the four edition dv6t-7000
I have a laptop DV6T - 7000 CTO Quad Edition, 64-bit Windows 7, I had configured with a 160 GB SSD from the factory. It works great, very fast, but I want to move to a larger ssd. In looking at a crucial or sandisk pro now, 480 GB or more.
My question: if I use the cloning software that will copy everything to the new ssd, included windows operating system?
I really want to do a complete reinstallation of the operating system that I don't see the need for it. Most likely I will modernize in any case next year to win 10, or whatever they called.
Somehow this update seems easy enough to do, but I want to anticipate any potential isses before we start.
What do you think? This who should I look for? If there is a problem, can I pop just my current ssd right in?
Thank you
Yes he clones above. Choose a proportional resizing of partitions. And Yes, if the clone does not work, you can always pop concert the 160 original. I use Acronis True Image Home 2014 for cloning and it works fine. Some versions of the Samsung 840 and 850 equipped with a migration kit which has the SATA Adapter USB and a CD containing software for disk cloning.
You can also buy a separate kit:

my toolbar (for the PDF edition) does not appear in a newly opened PDF file. What is the problem?
Hi Joanne,
If you are unable to display the toolbar by choosing View > show/hide > elements elements toolbar, please send along a screenshot of what you see. (And just double check that you open your PDF files in Acrobat and not player - that is a mistake that I make here and there).
Best,
Sara

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Windows. I replaced my PC with a Mac. I need a download link for the Mac version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. I am only to find a link for the Pro edition.
Your license will work for the Windows version and it is too old to qualify for a swap of platform (I don't know if it is a Mac version of standard far in the back - I think that there is for Windows).

This post pretty much answers your question, too:
However, the hard drive on your model is much easier to go to:
Page 49.
I recommend the Samsung 840 Evo SSD. The price is usually very good and performance is also very good.

Upgrade to SSD for MacBook Pro 13 "(2011)
I want to upgrade to a hard drive SSD for my notebook Early 2011 MacBook Pro.
What are the specifications of the SSD looking?
Is that the kind of 2.5 "(7mm)?" I was looking at the card SanDisk Ultra II or similar model.
What is the process or the workflow to change SSD? (he just plug or do I need a prop?)
I backed up my current HARD drive for Time Machine on a G-Drive external hard drive. Can I restore my backup for the SSD of Time Machine, or are there additional steps?
Thank you in advance.
Any SSD with a box 2.5 "will be compatible with your MBP. I recommend OWC SSD or critical based on my experience and other participants of CSA veterans.
Installing the SSD is the same as for a traditional HARD drive. Watch this video:
https://eShop.MacSales.com/installvideos/macbookpro_13_unibody_early11_hd/
You must format the SSD in Mac OS extended (journaled) disk utility. You can use Time Machine to restore your data on the SSD.
You can follow these guidelines:
Ciao.

Upgrade to SSD for HP ENVY 15 t-k000
I'm looking to upgrade the standard hard drive Toshiba MQ01ABD100 with a Samsung 840 Evo 1 TB (1 TB 5400 rpm). When you watch videos to see how to replace, (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04330942 video shows that the hard drive is connected to the motherboard with a connector zif to adapter sata.) My question is can I unplug the old hard drive adapter and plug it into my ssd for sata 3 speed or I have to do something else being the standard disc sata hard 2. What choices do I have if I do something else?
Hello
SATA III is backward compatible with SATA II. I think that your machine uses SATA III. You can check yourself by using the following small program:
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/PC-Wizard/2014.2.13-Setup.exe
(Check out, to the title of the disk controller, SATA III is 6 GB/s)
Kind regards.

Upgrade to SSD (for OS) T430i
Hello!
I read a lot of discussion about adding an SSD to a ThinkPad, and now I intend to do the same thing.
My only problem is that almost everyone recommend to replace the disc main HARD (containing the preinstalled operating system and recovery partition) with the SSD (of course in this case, the main HARD disk goes to a Ultrabay HDD caddy).
But I don't see any serious reasons to do this, except loss of flexibility of the Ultrabay.
It's not much easier to place the SSD drive in the Ultrabay caddy, which has no moving parts, so the lack of rubber rails won't matter? Then, I simply change the boot order to boot from SSD.
The question in this case, is the my bad idea (mentioned above)? So OK, I'm not an optical device, but I have an external DVD-rom, so this isn't a real problem. Are other disadvantages?
Thanks for your response!
Both methods work very well. It's actually a little easier to use Ultrabay for the SSD because many of the new computers mobile readers use 7mm and 7mm SSD are not as common. The downside is that you will not be able to eject your disc of data and move it to use elsewhere... But yes, in both directions. I tried both and there is no problem.

Pavilion X 360 13: guide to disassembly for the Pavilion of 13 inches X 360?
I am planning to upgrade the HARD drive in my Pavilion of 13 inches X 360 (AMD processor) with a fast SSD, but I would like to first of all make sure that I am looking to the right guide to disassemble the laptop in order to perform this kind of lung transplantation.
HP support has a guide step by step to replace the HARD drive, but it uses the 11-inch model and I'm not sure of the disassembly procedure is the same for the 13-inch (different hinge design, maybe the bowels are unwilling in the same layout, etc.). Here is the link to the guide I found: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-13-a100-x360-Convertible-PC/7234922/document/c041792...
Is this the right one for the X 360 13 inches, too?
Thank you very much.
"The guide is titled as".
Removal and replacement of the hard drive for HP Pavilion x 360 PC".
That should mean that it is for the x 360 series. The inside of the laptop must be also quite similar. This is not nearly as involved by removing the hose from radiator to the processor and graphics chip.
