• Radeon AMD in Pavilion dv7 notebook driver problem

  I have a pavilion dv7 notebook and for a few months, I had problems with my graphics driver.

  It began with a notice that my license was expired, so I went on the AMD website and tried to install the update. I ran dxdiag to find tool that I use an AMD Radeon HD 6620 G graphics card. I could not find my product on the list to manually install the update, so I tried the Downloader tool from amd driver and he had a problem of recognition of my graphics card. I then tried to update with the help of Support HP and that seemed to work for a while.

  Yesterday my screen changed the lowest resolution and a notice came it was not recognizing my graphics driver. Yet once, I tried to update manually from the AMD Web site. When this does not work I downloaded the driver AMD Downloader and after installing everything he said is that "your computer does not contain a correct graphics card" and closed the program.

  I am lost at this point uterally, and any help would be greatly apreciated.

  AMD does not support the graphics system from HP to address personalized and won't provide any drivers for it. As a general rule, HP does not provide "routine maintenance" updates and usually only releases updates to fix known problems. You could take the computer to a professional, however they will be able to do anything more than I suggested and maybe even not so much than that.

  I have the HP Pavilion dv7-3079wm for a few years, never had a problem until lately. the wireless button does not illuminate. I tried to restart, to update and restore. If I connect with the ethernet cable it sometimes the wireless button lights but does not stay on, I can't take outside more. Any ideas?

  Go to devices and network manager and uninstall the wirless driver restart the machine and check if the light works fine. You can also visit the HP website and update the Bios.

  I just do a fresh install of Vista 32 bit on this laptop Pavilion dv7-1000ea.

  I have trouble getting the wireless operation.

  Device Manager is not recognizing that there is a wireless inside the laptop adapter, even if there is.

  The wireless light is orange. I could not do it turn blue.

  I installed ALL necessary drivers - nothing is reported in Device Manager does not.

  I have updated the BIOS and also tried it revert to an older version to see if that makes a difference or not.

  I assured that wifi antennas are properly fixed inside the computer.

  I tried to ensure without wire is activated in the Setup (F10), but there is no option for it!

  I tried to use HP Wireless Assistant to turn it on, but it won't let me open the utility.

  I tried enabling wireless through the Windows Mobility Center Control Panel, but there is no settings for wireless in there.

  Can anyone help?

  Sorry everyone, I managed to fix it. I took out the wireless card and put it again and then it was recognized and began to work.

• Pavilion dm3-1060ea: HP Pavilion dm3-1060ea starting problems

  My HP Pavilion dm3-1060ea keeps trying to start up, but never really reached. What I mean by that, is that it shows the HP logo on the screen, but then after a few seconds, the screen goes black and the whole process starts again!

  When I press ESC or f11 makes beeps, beeps is inconsistent, so I have no idea what to do. Also, the only light that turns on is the power one bolt.

  Hi, just upgraded laptop WIN7 and installed MS Office 2010 and use MS wireless mouse. The touchpad is also 'off '.

  There are a number of different programs of cleaning out there, but some of them are nothing more then spyware and HP does not have one himself. Personally, I use CCleaner on my personal computer at home, but I can't recommend a particular program.

  Regarding the upgrade to Windows 8 there is no drivers for Windows 8 for your model. That says Windows 8 could still work and you can find most of the drivers, but some things can not meet as it should that pilots will be not specific to your model.

• HP Pavilion dv7: Wireless connection problems

  My laptop says it's connected wireless, with the signal strength excellent, however when I click on search via IE or Chrome, it indicates that it is not connected to the internet. On the network and sharing Center, this also indicates that it is not connected and said that the network is unidentified but then it shows an intense tone.

  When I connect the cable to the router, I can search on the internet.

  My mobile phone and computer laptop boyfreind both work on the wireless connection.

• Pavilion Dv7-1135nr starts

  This laptop was working fine and all of a sudden went black. Attempted to restart with the following results:

  The sound of spinning for short period followed by lights coming on, no departure by car then Caps lock and Num lock lights began to Flash simultaneously.  Still no start.  Trying to determine if this is a repair value or the default is not worth the money to repair.

  It is still in warranty? If this is the case, you can having repaired for free by HP. But I agree, if it's out of warranty, it may be more cost-effective to replace Notepad vs repaired.

• Pavilion DV7-4278nr: Audio problem

  I had my computer updated to windows 10 and repaired the motherboard to a repair facility.  Since I got the computer back audio sounds different.  I have the system audio beats with the subwoofer triple bass installed but I do not hear the bass that goes through the subwoofer.  How can I check to make sure that it works and the store does not remove it?  When I go to Device Manager and check the sound he said AMD high definition Audio Device.  When I connect to the hp support page it lists all the drivers for this computer, so I'm not in a position to ensure it is the correct driver.

  According to the specifications, this laptop has a BD player.  But does that mean I can burn BD discs (double layer)?  I found no related POSTS to answer my question.  I have VideoStudio Pro7 and get an error message every time that I try to burn a BD.  I'm ready to buy the discs double layers (non-BD) so I can have higher capacity discs, but if the drive does not burn discs double layers, I'll keep my money.  Thank you very much.  peace

  Then out of no where, a few hours earlier, my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7-6135dx) started acting... First, it would show my wifi like "no internet, secure... In an attempt to "disconnect' to reconnect - I accidentally hit"turn off"- to which a person has helped me get this back off to disable... I've had the internet for a few minutes - but since my battery was almost dead & I was by my parents home, I decided to wait until I'm home... Now that I'm home, whenever I try to connect to the Internet (using Chrome) nothing will open... On the contrary, he says, "this site is not reachable" as well as "DNS address was not found. Diagnose the problem"and it has a blue 'Reload' button... But then I also noticed that I had to click on the Chrome icon as 6 times after restarting my laptop - when I tried to open Chrome... Furthermore, when I tried to open Avast Antivirus - I had to keep clicking this icon, so... When Avast has finally opened its doors - I tried to do a "Smart Scan" to "Virus scanning" and stopped at 6% & would not move for about 1.5 hours... I don't know what to do...   Hello, im having some problems with my HP Pavilion dv7 notebook. The operating system installed on my laptop is Windows 7 Home Premium.

  After that I installed a visual theme yesterday, it has messed up my explorer.exe, which means that it wouldent show my office and all... So in order to correct that I had to start my computer in safe mode with commandprompt and enter in "sfc.exe/scannow" and after this has been done, it fixed the problem and the explorer.exe worked again. But when I run that command...

  Then the sound outside the laptop icon is red, BUT the sound works on the computer.
