Sat Pro M30: No wireless connectivity

Hello

I have a network problem with my M30 Pro from Toshiba.
Given that I've updated Windows with the latest Service Pack, there is no possibility to connect to my DSL router more. Before the update it worked fine.
The router is a Zyxel P-660HW. The Signal is good enough and the router is to the management tool of Windows wireless.
I tried to manually enter an ip address, dns server and gateway-standard. After that he have a connection, but it did not work for internet access.
someone had the same problem?
Is it possible that I need a new driver for the wireless module?

I'm grateful for any help.

Hello

AFAIK the SP2 installs a Windows Firewall. I recommend you to disable.
In addition, I recommend to visit the website of the router manufacturers.

    Hello

Have you used the Atheros WLan or Intel WLan card?
As far as I know if you unit has an Atheros WLan card you should always use the Atheros Client Utility to connect to some networks.
In this case, the option use Windows to configure my wireless network must be disabled. If you the Intel card this option must be checked.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300-1EA - wireless connection, drop all the time

Hi, I have a problem with my wireless connection fall all the time on my Satellite Pro A300 1EA.

It happened earlier, but I've fiddled about a little with change of drivers and the removal of the connection settings for the registry and it then worked fine for months, until yesterday.

There were several updates for Windows installed yesterday, but none of them have been updated driver for the wireless card, and they don't look like they should cause problems. The fact that the problem happened before makes me think that the updates can be anything to do with it.

I use the * Intel PRO/Wireless 3945/4965/5100/5300 * for Vista 32 - bit version 12.2.0.11.3 drivers from the Toshiba download page.

Other computers on the same access point have no problem, so I think it is specific to this laptop. The connection speed is normally 6 Mbps, but I cannot even check e-mail now without the abandonment of the connection.

Laptop will be thrown against a wall soon if no one can help you.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I've already made sure power settings are at maximum to the WLAN card, even if on battery, or what power management.

    Hello

Have you tried to use the Windows System Restore feature? After that your WLAN should work fine again.

In addition, I can recommend the latest WLAN driver in the Intel page, it s version 12.4.xxxx. I installed the driver on my Qosmio laptop and don t have any problems with it: [www.intel.com].

    Hello

When your device is running on battery power, please check the properties of the WLAN card and on the Advanced tab, you'll find the power management option. Try putting it at the highest level it.

  • Satellite Pro L300D loses wireless connection randomly then can never find

    Hello

My Satellite Pro L300D loses the wifi connection at random times and I have to turn off the network for the L300D BT box to connect again. Throughout this, my other laptop Toshiba works fine on the network, as does my PC, so the network is fine.

Any help would be good and would save me lose any more hair.

one of the two: or the Ruter have electrical problems, but you said that another computer is not working properly, so it must be a physical problem with the unit your problematic computer wireless, if wireless is the drop of water at all times, you must check this problem with a service provider.

  • Satellite Pro 2100 - no wireless connection

I have just acquired a Satellite Pro 2100, thin machine, but I installed a wireless 802.11 card Belkin g and he said he joined my wireless network and I can actually connect to the internet, but he refuses to see the other machines on my network or be seen.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hello

As far as I know that you don't see other units on this path. You can see the other wireless units if you use some additional software like ConfigFree (latest version). On this way, you can communicate with other units (chat or Exchange different files).

Perhaps another third party software can be useful for you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g wireless connection problem

I have a printer wireless OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g.  My PC is Windows 7 (64-bit).  Recently, the printer wasn't working reliably and we took to reboot our router frequently at the same time.  Router problems seem to be solved because my PC at home and the work laptop are well connected and running.  However, the printer would not work last night when I really needed.  The documents would appear in the queue, but never reach the printer.  Today, I uninstalled all the software of HP using the CD of origin and reinstalled all the latest software and drivers from hp.com.  Of course, I rebooted the printer several times during this process.  Using the Network Wizard wireless via the screen of the printer, I am able to locate my SSID and enter the WPA key.  The printer confirms that it is connected to the network.

If my computer and printer are both connected to the same network why can't the HP software locate the printer?  Whenever I try to run the installation/Setup program it tells me that there is no HP printer on the network.  As I said, this printer has worked on this wireless network in the past.  I also downloaded and run the scan HP and difficulty of the program to see if she could solve the problem without success.

    Any other suggestions?

Well, what I'm going to make you, it's just a basic uninstall and reinstall the printer. I'll describe the steps and you are right, we can use the USB > wireless Assistant. You can access that by running the software after the installation of the USB. Here are my steps...

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it. Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

The START menu type "%temp%" and press on ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl+A and press on REMOVE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

Follow this link to download full feature software and drivers of the printer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=3752459

Install and let me know the result!

In addition, here is how you set a static IP address: allocating an address static IP to your printer of HP Wireless - Windows 7 - YouTube

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 loses wireless connectivity

After sitting idle for a period ranging from a few minutes to a few hours, my 8600 OfficeJet loses connectivity with my DI-524 router. When this happens, the 8600 shows an IP from 192.168.0.128 (only the IP I never saw him show). I can not print from my computer Windows 7, check the ink levels or ping the 8600.

I can restart the 8600 and all will be well (at the same IP address) until the problem recurs.

I would try to set a permanent IP address to the printer.  The router know not how to deal with the printer might not go to sleep and could end the connection.  In my view, affecting an address permanent IP will correct this.  You can choose an IP address outside DHCP-range routers. You can check the routers web page to see what this beach is to guess just using a maximum of low IP (maybe try 192.168.0.254 or 192.168.0.5).

PS. It seems that the router DI-524 is an older router.  Have you updated the firmware on it lately?

  • Satellite Pro M30 - how to recover data?

I get a disk read error when I try to start my Sat Pro M30 running XP Pro, right after the In Touch with screen Toshiba.

Using the Revovery DVD that came with the computer when buying and the Advanced mode entry, I try to use the local Image file checking. It does not seem to find any Image file. Is it possible to recover or reconstruct the image file?

There is some data that I would recover from the HD, so I'll try to avoid reinstalling the system until I got the files.

Attempted to read the HD using a cabinette and a new NP running Vista, but it did not work. Is there a general problem reading a HD XP, Vista?

Suggestions how to do to retrieve the data would be very appreciated!

    Johan

cabinette? Do you mean 'hard drive USB cart?

To recover your data, you can connect the HARD drive using a USB adapter to another PC on XP or Vista. The drive should appear as a drive letter (for example, drive E :), and you will be able to copy the files.

When you say "but it did not work", what exactly was the problem?

  • Satellite Pro M30: What DVD burner is compatible?

Hi people, ask yourself if you can help.

I have a sat Pro M30 but it came with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. I decided that I would be able to write DVDs with it also. Can someone point me in the direction of a substitute for the current drive - I really don't want an external, but a replacement for one that is already there. Product ID and where to buy would be really nice.

    Thank you
    Richard.

    Hi Richard

As far as I know MS M30 is similar to Satellite M30. As far as I know that the Satellite M30 has a Super-Multi drive Matsu * a UJ-820. I guess you can use the same player with your device.

    Hello Derek

If some components of hardware in Device Manager not preloaded properly visit the Toshiba download under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page > support & downloads.

You will find all the necessary drivers (WLAN and his driver). When the wireless network adapter is correctly installed, you will be able to configure the WLAN connection.
