Laptop HP (TPN-i119): install disk hard netbook
Hello
A friend asked me to upgrade their HP laptop.
It has only 2 GB of ram and 30 GB of storage.
When I downloaded the manual (this is the celeron version) he says his memory 2 GB ram, and it has a kit of pilots of 32 GB of mem.
That is why the work not as easy as I thought.
Two questions:
(1) can I put a hard drive internal in place, and I have to buy the hard drive bracket and cable (p/n 813510-001)?
(2) can I increase the ram, or am I stuck with 2 GB?
Any help appreciated seriously...
Thank you
Matt
We will need the exact model, but generally, if the manual says 'onboard' memory it is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. Same thing with MEM... which means usually a welded on hard drive module. Some allow a standard hard drive more, but the devil is in the details. What exact model?
Never mind. Is this?
Supports up to 2 GB memory max on-board system (only for the Celeron processors)
See also p. 37-40. You can have a MEM, installed with an adapter or a SATA hard drive, installed in a slice.
I would say get a 120 regular gig SATA SSD and hard drive support and install an upgrade.
Hardware hard drive Kit (including support and cable) 813510-001
I couldn't find the hard disk on amazon or ebay kit that lets HP Partsurfer's:
http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=813510-001
Not sure that this laptop is worth any investment to upgrade, to be honest.

helppppppppppppppp
I tried to reinsatall windows 7 I formatted the hd and windows loaded, but it happens with no devices signed drivers found tried everything can think of my little mind so if anyone can help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee oh made all the drive controls hard memory etc. everything ok but does not start disk from which is a genuine copy of windows 7
Hello
Given that you get a Smart error (301) for the hard disk, it's almost certainly why you run in question when try to reinstall Windows 7 and to fix this, the drive must be replaced.
It is a fairly simple procedure as indicated below.
Your laptop is listed as coming with a 320 GB HARD drive, however the reader at the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop and offers a bit more storage.
The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 53 of your & Maintenance Guide.
Once this is done, just install Windows 7 onto the new drive.
All the drivers you need can be found on the following link.

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini running on Windows XP, that I dropped and broke a plastic wedge. The broken plastic cut a wire to the screen, leaving me with a white screen. I was able to use the fn 1 toggle to turn on a second monitor via a HDMI cable. However, I decided that the blank white screen bothers my eyes, I went into the display settings and select 'make this my main screen' which means, do my main screen TV. However, he turned off the TV screen instead of the empty white laptop screen. The Fn 1 button no longer works. I tried to do a manual telephone walkthough with Dell system restore. By restoring the computer to its factory settings, I should allowed to use the Fn 1 button again to turn on my TV via HDMI cable - without success. Therefore, Dell confirmed that I had a software internal problem and recommended that I post him for repair (no guarantee). The Dell Inspiron Mini has no CD Rom internal drive, however, I have the original disks supplied with the notebook software program which is five years (or more). The Dell Inspiron Mini operating system is Windows XP.
Now, I have a laptop HP large format, with CD Rom drive, running on Windows 7. Can I use my HP CD Rom to install the original records of the original Dell Inspiron mini Dell program? Thank you.
Thanks for the tips.
You are welcome. :)

HP ENVY 13-d099nr notebook: can I install a HARD drive in this laptop?
It's on the way to my house. http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/PDP/HP-envy-notebook-13-d099nr-Signature-Edition-lap...
Is it possible to have an installed HARD drive? I really wanted a laptop SSD and HDD but after taxes and a full warranty of 2 years, $1 100 is my limit. I wonder if down the line, I can install a HARD drive.
HP has provided a Service Manual:
It is a modern, skinny high-tech machine and is intended for the installation of a hard disk of 2.5 inches wide laptop or SSD inside the chassis. Storage options only are modules of WSSD m2.

All my iTunes music is on a disk hard Ext. connected to my home network through a router. Is it possible that devices that are part of my home network share iTunes can access the music on this disc hard Ext. without my laptop being on?
Additional information: the laptop is what I used to install all the music, via iTunes, which is located on the external hard drive connected through home network router.
Is it possible that devices that are part of my home network share iTunes can access the music on this disc hard Ext. without my laptop being on?

Hi all
I recently bought a y510p ideapad. It came with pre-installed win8, and I have no recovery CD. I intend to play with linux on this laptop, but do not want to lose win8. So before I have potentially immediately reformat, I think to make a copy of clone of my HDD on an external USB drive. The general plan is like that,
1. make a copy of mobile on external USB HARD drive
2 mud with linux - and foolishly autour reformat the entire process
3. have fed up with linux and want to return to windows
4 copy of retrospective data from usb driver external HDD latop
5 return to the comfort of win8
With the help of this tool (clonezilla) will work in the above scenario?
http://www.MakeUseOf.com/tag/free-advanced-hard-drive-cloning-solution-from-Clonezilla/
If not, are there any other alternatives (free if all goes well) I could use?
My intention with the backup, is that after that I have 'restore' things, "a key recovery" button should continue to work as before.

Make the plan will cause OKR is not functioning properly. To prove this to get a hard drive of exact size and make a clone of hard disk of the device. Remove the hard drive from the unit and place the disc clone hard inside. You can now play with the disk hard clone to your hearts desire but OKR first test if it still works. Even if OKR no longer work, you can proceed with the installation of linux. Once you're disgusted with Linux everything you have to do is replace the hard disk clone with the original hard drive and you're back to win with OKR 8 still works.

I would like to replace my drive 160gig hard with the disk hard 320gig on my laptop running xp. Is it possible to transfer the exact content from one disk to another without having to re - install operating systems and programs etc. ? I would that all is the same except the size of your hard drive will be increased.
Is it possible to transfer the exact content from one disk to another without having to re - install operating systems and programs etc. ?
Yes.
You use the disk cloning software. In some cases, a new player may even be bundled with software that will do this for you.
Unless your laptop has a second drive Bay (most don't), you will also need an external hard drive enclosure. As a general rule, these connect via the USB port, although if your laptop has a connector FireWire or eSATA you can also use these interfaces.
You must select your external enclosure based on 3 criteria: the type of connection to the laptop. the physical size of the disc (2 1/2 inches for computer laptop drives); and player interface (determined by the connection of the internal drive of your laptop). For example only (no recommendation), if you wanted an enclosure for a 2.5 IDE drive "which connects using USB 2.0, Newegg has 17 products
The (slightly) more expensive items among the software, you will need. For example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817155602 this particular House will work with SATA or IDE drives.
If you buy an external enclosure that doesn't include cloning software, the software may be available for free from the manufacturer of the new 320 GB drive (e.g., http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp?swid=119) or you can get it separately (this is not an exhaustive list):

How am I supposed to install windows 7 on a laptop computer that is not a hard drive
Well, I just got Windows 7 for my laptop, but it's not a hard drive. How do I get there for free?
Hello
· What is the number and the model of the computer?
· Has the operating system installed on the computer it pre-installed?
If the operating system came pre-installed on the computer then you can contact the computer manufacturer if they provide for the free upgrade to Windows 7.

I don't want Windows 7 at all so I'm ready to lose all data, so how can I do to remove it?
You say that you have started from the XP CD, but something is wrong with that
you do. Just boot from the CD and follow the prompts for a
clean install. A new installation by formatting the
drive and does not care what version of Windows is installed (or
even if any version of Windows is installed.Ken Blake

I put a new hard drive in my laptop and when I install Vista I get this message: "windows cannot configure windows to run on this hardware of computers." I can't install an oem on a new hard drive version? This is the portable original in all other respects.
original title: new hard drive and vistaHello
strange that you can request that
HP computers have been known to not let you install Vista on a non HP bought replacement hard drive
There were a few posters with this problem here
If the OEM disc for this particular laptop, you should be able to reinstall it as many times as you want as long as you have not changed the main material (the motherboard)
You can change the hard drives, RAM, etc.
I presume that you boot from the Vista DVD

The hard drive failed on my HP laptop. I bought a new hard drive (not HP) and loaded the HP recovery disks, but a screen will appear that says it is not compatible. Can I use this new hard drive, or should I buy a hard drive for HP?
I looked at a few tech forums and from what I can tell, HP crashes their system you can't use hard disks of third parties. To make a third hard drive to work (depending on the online forums), you will need to bring a technician certified in HP in order to run a utility of DMI (?) and "tattoo" the hard drive for HP use (estimated at close to $45).I can't find a technician certified in HP in my area and Geek Squad said that they can do it more... my laptop is now an expensive paper weight, or there at - it another option (short of spending hundreds of dollars on the purchase of a new Vista + MS Office license)?Hello
posters have reported problems with the use of a replacement hard drive not HP, etc.
as you say you know the answer to your problem buy a new hard drive from HP and then reinstall using their recovery disks
If you have problems with the HP recovery process, contact the manufacturer
It's their recovery process not microsofts

A hard drive with my Adobe leases was virus-infested and destroyed before Adobe products could be uninstalled.
I had to uninstall the 2nd install computer (laptop) in order to install on my new desk.
I would like to reinstall on my laptop but cannot because there is no way for me to uninstall from the destroyed hard drive.
Your instructions tell me to contact me about this.
Help, please!
Normally, you do not have to uninstall anything, you only need to disable. You didn't need to uninstall on the laptop, nor do you need to turn it off. If it is for the creative cloud then you should be able to install and connect on the laptop now and he is likely to ask you if you would allow all other facilities to be disconnected. You can select Yes which will erase all of the activations, and then after that the laptop is turned on you can connect on the new desktop still once more.

Greetings,
I am in a bind and need help to repair disk hard "do-it-yourself". My fault ID: 9C353G-GLV870-QFPJWJ-60E703
I am no longer under warranty and have no funds currently to be considered in a service center (if it is still available for my location).
Can we please: 1. tell me what means this failure code? and 2. Is this something I could fix me?
Very unhappy that it was not used much yet failed prematurely! Computers these days come with kill switches after a certain period of time after the purchase?
Thanks in advance to anyone who might help.

The model is dv7 - 7333cl.
He made a place for 2 hard drives, but the specifications say that it came with 1.
This video shows adding a second hard drive, but you can easily view it how remove you and replace the original hard drive that is located on the right in the video:
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=cLP8kjeLW-Q
No doubt, you can recover most or all of the data on the old hard drive with a USB to SATA adapter.
Ein bischen kleiner aber billiger:
Windows 10 can be reinstalled on a new drive hard if your installation has been activated before. The activation servers Microsoft just know your computer and will be reactive. You must Access the media creation tool and have it make a bootable DVD player or you need a usb thumb drive at least 4 GB.
After the back if you want to discuss before, or perhaps find an SSD.
