  three different scenarios are possible here: loads, radiation or sharing. I would start by looking at V$ SQL_SHARED_CURSOR, V$ SQL and DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT to determine which of the three is underway. "Charges" means the plan gets years out of the pool shared more or less 'naturally', either because the pool is not large enough, or because there are a lot of other things in it, or its fragmentation is the cause of space to use less efficient internal cleaning and so kick more often. "Radiation" means that the cursor is marked invalid because of DOF or updated statistics against an object referenced in the query. There are called "loads" and "invalidation" columns in V$ SQL DBA_HIST_SQLSTAT views and who can help you to understood if one of the two scenarios took place.

  The third scenario, sharing, is a bit more subtle. It could be for example the size of one of the bind variables changes considerably from time to time, and so the cursor can not be reused. In this case, a new child cursor would be analyzed, and the reason why existing cursor could not be shared could me more often found in V$ SQL_SHARED_CURSOR views.
