Satellite L10-102: screen goes down and then comes very quickly.

Hi, I have Nooteboom L10-102. Sometimes during work, the screen down abruptly then comes very quickly. Like the natural eye blinking. ? s there a kind of great power problem or comes from the different fault.

I need advice to fix the problem.

Thank you...

Hi, manual

Believe me, according to your explanation, that it is not easy to say exactly what is happening. In my opinion, just an intensive audit can train with a few explanations.

Is that your permanent unit connect to the AC adapter when this happens?
Is the monitor off feature enabled in the power manager?

On this path, it is not easy to tell what's happening.

    Hello Respect137, welcome.

It would appear that running DirectX files installed on your system were corrupt. This gives a test:
2 follow the instructions which is there to install the package to update DirectX
    3. Once installed, restart your computer and try to run the game

I downloaded ie9, it does not open. a window opens as it tries and then stops (very quickly) no error messages appear.

I tried to reinstall, ran a scan for problems, the saved settings. I can still access to safari or chrome.
I noticed that some other features in windows now do the same thing while trying to open a new window and it does not work. I have vista 32 bit.
IE9 is showing as a program and all the settings seem ok
my windows will not install updates?

    Hi Robin,

Since you are facing problems of opening IE 9 and a few other features in Windows, you can try these steps and see if it helps

    Step 1:

Check if the problem persists in safe mode with network.

Start your computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with networking, you can try to perform a clean boot and see if it helps.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

After the troubleshooting steps, please refer to clean the boot link to put the computer to normal startup mode.

    Hope this information is useful.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Install these updates of 2 drivers and then restart the pc and try again see if the problem occurs.

You can also restore the default settings in the Nvidia Control Panel by clicking on restore by default in most sections.

  • Red/purple/magenta strange "shadow" that goes away and then comes back

When the file is loaded, it looks like this:

Once you touch ANY cursor (or do anything really), this happens:

  • When windows update is running on my machine (and updates), my screen goes down to 1024 x 768.

When windows update is running on my machine (and updates), my screen goes down to 1024 x 768.  I have a HD card of ATI all-in - Wonder and an Acer X203H LCD with DVI connection.  If I use system restore to go back, I can get higher resolutions, but Windows does its thing and I'm back at low resolution.  I can't change the settings manually as 1024 watch as the highest res available to the general public when this happens.  There must be some weird conflicts.  I tried to update the drivers, that made no difference.  Is there a setting Aero or the conflict at stake here?  In the past, I've had trouble with a display of balnk and I had to go back to the 2008 version of the driver to get things to work.  From there, whenever I update, I can keep high resolution, but after the last windows update (security of IE8 and much smaller pack that was released on March 28-30), it dates back to 1024 x 768 again.  Control Panel and catalyst control the two show that as more high resolution available for refresh rate. Suggestions?

Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Vista will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

    Try this:

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Then:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

If your computer is a laptop... Search support

Select Microsoft System Restore Click next to three windows now you will see a list of dates, select a date prior to the installation of the update, then click. Let the computer do its restoration. Once done see if your problem is solved, if so try the update again, make you that the update is for 64-bit Windows 7 computers before you download it again. If that happens again once you know what AVG is not compatible for your computer.

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
