Pavilion G7: I have problems

I have a series of problems.

1. broken monitor that I connect to one of the two external monitors, one with a VGA cable and the other with a HDMI: everything worked fine and then nor monitor received a signal.  What happened at the start, it is that I stumbled on the HDMI, actually pull out the piece of metal that is inserted in the port.  I went and go to the other and the external monitor did not always receive a signal.  I thought that maybe I had folded the port but that could not have caused the monitor which is connected with a VGA cable receive still no signal, but I don't know that for sure.   At through several tutorials and finished next to remove me the battery from the RTC for 10 minutes.  I was very careful to follow the instructions.  When I turned on the laptop, not only the two external monitors have not received signals, but broken screen was black.

2. once I turned on the laptop and got no results on screen or external monitors, I noticed the shift caps lock and Num Lock key are flashing.  At this point, I considered the possibility that I needed some guiance staff.

3. I'm writing a book.  To make sure that nothing is lost, I was emailing the most recent project to different e-mail addresses.  I was in a new project when the HDMI Cable is broken and had not yet sent this project.  I have another laptop and was hopeful that I could connect the laptop with the screen broke from my other laptop and recover the last project and save it to another laptop.  I was not successful with this problem.

I suspect that in today's world, I is not even a little bit knowledgeable about the technical issues of my laptops. I can, however, follow direction extremely well.  I have little fear of exploring possible solutions to most problems and stubborn to a fault. I will exhaust evey avenue in my power to solve most of the problems.  Basically, I'm not afraid to try something new and so far, I have been very successful and have learned a lot so far.

Thank you for posting. I read your post, and I understand that both external screens has stopped working after that the HDMI cable is accidentally released. I wanted to help with that.

Do you see a pattern of flashing LEDS on your laptop? It may indicate a hardware failure in your laptop. Please see the document below:

Computers laptops HP - computer will not start and emits a LED or a beep Code

Let me know the results of the hard reset or other troubleshooting procedures.
