Pavilion p6152f coprocessor "other devices" with an exclamation mark in CP

In my Device Manager, I have an exclamaition mark on "another device, coprocessor," I just did a complete new installation of Windows 7.  I think that... the other device is in fact my chipset.  There are no availiable chipset driver for win 7 (64 (b), and vista chipset driver will not work. I also installed the original nvidia driver for win 7 on the HP site...

Any ideas?

Thank you

  • Minor problem with the New Installation of Windows 7 on my Inspiron E1705/9400 - two entries for "Base system device" under "Other devices" with yellow exclamation point

    Hello

First of all, let me tell you about my system.   It is of a laptop Inspiron E1705/9400 with the Core 2 Duo T7400 processor clocked at 2.16 GHZ.   It has 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive on the Hitachi Travelstar nine 500 GB (7200 RPM).   It also has the GeForce Go 7900 GS video card.    Previously, it had Windows XP Professional (32 bit) and worked well.   But, I have three computers in my home and Home Office and would they work better together on my wired home network, so I'm upgrading all three to Windows 7.   My two desktops (a Dimension XPS 420 and the other Dimension XPS 430) seem like they will be no problem to upgrade to Windows 7.   But, this laptop was not on the list of Dell Windows 7 compatibility.   However, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor that I have downloaded and run seemed to say that it was OK to do a clean install of Windows 7 32-bit and he had only a few minor issues, where it says search the drivers updated from the manufacturer.   Initially, the laptop came with a 100 GB hard drive.   For my use, which becomes very small, so I decided to get the exact same 7200 RPM drive 500 GB size.   This will allow me to do a clean install of the 32 bit Windows 7 OS on the new hard drive and not have to wipe the old disk to do so.   I can just keep the old HD and paste it back whenever I need to get something out of it.

So, here's my minor problem.   After the transfer of some elements off the coast of the old hard drive, I installed the new 500 GB drive and installed a cleaning of the 32-bit version of Windows 7.    I'm happy to announce that I have not had virtually no problems with installation and everything seems to work fine.   He seems a little more zippy than before and I have not met so far that doesn't seem to work.   I went through most of features and almost everything is superb.   But there is a minor problem, showing in Device Manager.   At least, I think it's a minor problem, but maybe someone can give me feedback to know if she is or not.

In the Device Manager list, there is a category called "other devices" now and the icon shows a little white circle with an exclamation mark.    When you expand this category, you see two identical entries that say "Base system device" and the icon has a yellow circle with an exclamation mark inside.     I know from experience that it is not a good thing to see items in the device manager that have a yellow circle with an exclamation point.   I clicked on both of them and neither one really tells you what the device is, or who did what is site you would go to a driver.    On the general tab, it has the following information:

    -Device type Other devices

    Reference of the manufacturer- Unknown

                         Location     -         Bus PCI 3, device 1, function 3

Under device status, it says the following:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the item or a set of device information

To find a driver for this device, click Update driver.

Each of the entries seem to be almost the same thing... but not exactly.   The other has the location

list PCI Bus 3, device 1, function 2... instead of function 1.   This seems to be the only difference.

I tried the button to update the driver, but that doesn't seem to work.   No matter if you say it looks like your

computer or to look for a new driver from the internet, it does not find anything.     As I said at the beginning,

the system seems to work very well... but, given that I don't know what this device is or does, I might be missing something.

He drives me crazy just have these yellow circles with exclamation point hanging out in my device manager.

I could really use some help here.    Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bryan Ray (Richmond, WILL)

BTW, I just downloaded and installed the driver pack from this ftp location and it worked, even for Windows 8.1 - 64 bit.

    Thanks Steve!

  • Other devices with yellow! and cannot connect to internet after reformatting

I reformatted my gateway with the original XP disc. Now the multimedia audio controller is missing and there are several "other devices" with yellow! I tried to update the drivers on the site of the bridge for this model, but it's still a mess, and I can't connect to the net!

    Hi BrianFiles,

If you have reinstalled Windows XP after formatting the hard drive, then you will need to install all the necessary drivers on the computer for devices work correctly.

You can try to search for hardware changes in Device Manager and later proceed to reinstalling the driver.

    1. Click Startand then click run.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc , and then click OK.
    3. In Device Manager, click on your computer so that it appears highlighted.
    4. Click Action, and then click find the hardware changes.

I suggest that you download from the site of the Bridge and save all necessary drivers on the hard drive and then try to install the drivers, check if it helps.

Also reinstall the drivers for the chipset on the site of the bridge.

If you still cannot get sound on the computer then go to the link below and run the troubleshooter available, check if it helps.

  • In Device Manager, OTHER DEVICES has yellow question mark

I always have problems with sudden black screens with auto restart.  It has been suggested that I get a new video driver, so I went into Device Manager, and since there is no list for video devices, I looked in the other devices section (which has PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus controller, video controller, and video controller - compatible VGA) there is a yellow question mark next to each one.  I opened each of them and read, "Unknown manufacturer", and "the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28) ' how to find who is the manufacturer and model and the version?

It might be true that it doesn't work with Windows 7, I never said it would work with Windows 7 (it's the XP forum, don't forget!) but there may be something similar.  Since WIndows 7 is so wunnerfool, they just left that have a completely since there must be no need for this.

99% of the things on which I work is some flavor of Windows Server, XP or Citrix and haven't seen nobody wants to even consider moving their campus everything to Windows 7 and I do not see happening any time soon!  It is not in their plans at all.

I support a handful of populous (just a few) who have systems that require Windows 7 for some features and other things though, but they are just itty bitty compared to the basic XP installed.

  • Some files reader with an exclamation mark under the icon.

Some Player files have icons looking weird with either an exclamation of a check mark under the icon.  When right click on these I get a message that the Explorer is resrting and then it does.  What is the problem with these files?  I am trying to include some but couldn't because esplrer restarts when I try.

    Help, please.

These red exclamation point icons are certainly not part of windows. Here's what I found.

These icons of red circle with a white exclamation point are called "icons of status" and are found in the following products. The following Web sites show the status of red exclamation point icons with a description of how they are used.

Antivirus Symantec System Center (also other Symantec products)
    http://Service1.Symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/docid/2001031510414248

    Mozy online backup.
    http://Mozy.force.com/support/mozyKnowledgeWidget?docid=78225

Some McAfee products also use the software online that shows these status icons, Mozy backup. There may be other products that also use these icons.

    If you use Mozy backup

    1. Right-click on the Mozy icon / in your system tray and select settings > more settings.
    2. Click on the Options pane, then the general tab.
    3. To remove icons, disable the backup status icons Show on option files, and then click OK.
    4. To add icons, check the backup status icons Show on option files, and then click OK.
    5. You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

If the option to display the status of the backup on file icons is greyed out, click Change options that are currently not available in the lower right.

  • I signed on the sync, I have the code, but do not seem to be able to enter on my other devices

Running W7 on PC and laptop and have Android signed all managed to synchronize. the PC has generated 12digit code, but I can't find how to pair the devices I tried using Mozilla, but my computer doesn't seem to have the same screen and can not get the possibility of devices pair

29,0 Firefox and later use the new synchronization version that uses a Firefox account and use just the name and the password and no longer use a sync (recovery) separated key (the key of synchronization is derived automatically the password).

This version is completely different from the version previously, and you need to install Firefox 29,0 or later versions on all connected devices.

You can enter the name and password of the account Mozilla on other devices with a Firefox 29,0 or later to add additional devices.

The new version of synchronization used in Firefox 29 and later again use a recovery key to encrypt the data locally before you download, but this recovery key is generated internally from the password of the account in Firefox, so you no longer need to worry about this.

  • Running/debugging on a device with Flash Builder 4.7 on OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and iOS7

I can't start my Mobile Actionscript project on a device that has installed iOS7. He received this error.

Error occurred while installing the application:
    Invalid <device> specified

I can still deploy on my other device with iOS6, I'm under FB4.7 and OSX 10.9. Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

    Hey ghelton,

This may or may not help your cause, but I can say that I have the same configuration that you mentioned and can deploy on iPad Mini 6.1 and iPhone 5 7.0 with no problems after rolling back my version of Java to 1.6.

You have the latest version of iTunes installed so that you can view your device iOS 7 in without any problem?

If you have Xcode, you see your device to the organizer and if so, it is not grayed out?

You have authorized system events in the privacy of security & > privacy > accessibility in system preferences section?

    Hope that helps,

    O.
