Pavilion Slimline s7727c: Pavilion Slimline s7727c restore disks

I had a problem where I was getting the blue screen of death, and also the computer worked slowly and blocking to the top after getting rid of the blue screen problem.  I wanted to restore to the factory settings and found that the D: drive is empty.  Do not know where the files are gone, but want to know a reliable source to buy the files to restore the factory settings.  So far, I found a restore.solutions of society, but do not know if they are reputable.  Any ideas would be appreciated to get this computer going again, at a normal speed and do not take 15 to 30 minutes of starting.  Thanks in advance.

Wmm383, welcome to the forum.

Given that HP is not likely the disks, I suggest try this company.  They have been used by several members of the Forums.

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Pavilion dv7 - 427 RN4: command restore disks from HP

I recently had my laptop repaired according to 3rd party warranty service that came bundled with my laptop. The drive has failed, but it was returned to the unit. They have restored the operating system, but it doesn't have much of the original content about it. I want to know if I order my model-specific restore disks, it will contain the same exact content (ie. office, backgrounds themes, program of fences) as when it was bought new.

    Thank you

Yes, the HP System Recovery media have all provided with this unit originally. It'll be like that comes from the factory and you just turned on for the first time.

  • HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx recovery disk

    Hi all

I have a hp Pavilion dv7-6b55dx hard drive failed.  Fairly easy to install a new hard drive, but its been a bit more difficult to find any kind of information recovery disk.  The laptop has a hand, and we only had a very short time. Ever created of my own restore disks (I know, I know).  It used Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.

I can't find anything on the HP site regarding recovery assistance, its seems that my camera is no longer supported.  I spoke with Microsoft, although the Windows product key is always on the computuer itself, they said I have to buy a new operating system on their part.  And then even after that, I guess I would have to update the other pilot material as well and may require some sort of recovery disk?  I've been on the HP site, it doesn't seem to be another option to pay to speak with someone, and at this point, I'm afraid that I would pay to hear that there nothing more they can do.

If you can't tell from my post, I'm not the most computer-savvy person.  I searched online for ideas and found no too.  Most other suggestions are a few years now and do not seem to apply more.  Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello:

This is the page for support and drivers for your PC.

Select the OS from W7, and the last element is a link with the command retrieve media.

If for some reason the link does not (some members report on the forum is not on some models), then you can call HP at this number and see if you can order records by phone... 1-(800)-474-6836

If HP sells more recovery disc for your PC, you can order a set of this provider no HP.

  • restore disks

I have two identical HP computers (Pavilion d4890y).  We have a failed hard drive.  Whatever the restore disks I use to rebuild the new hard drive?  They are not labelled differently.

Here are the specifications and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion d4890y. If ordered them in the same way, then no descendants using a set of HP recovery disk. If they were ordered with different configurations, there may be issues when you use the wrong set of HP Recovery Disc. You can compare the recovery discs to see if they are same... simply display the disks in your computer and compare this file counts and space used on each drive.

    Please send Bravo

I have a HP Pavilion Media Center m8300f desktop PC.

I don't have restore disks... I don't see ANY option in the bios to RAID 0 configuration...

How can I configure RAID 0 before installing Windows?

I was able to get the job by finding a bios PIRATE/MODDED Raid0/scratches.

For some reason any HP disabled raid in the bios that they provide.  Is not acceptable.

  • HP OEM Vista restore disks work after installing Windows 7 RC?

The title of the post pretty much everything says. I would like to try the Windows 7 RC, but I also wish I could go back to Vista, at some point. It seemed that the restore disks did not have a complete reinstall the last time (it resets windows pretty quickly). If I load Windows 7 RC, I'll be able to use my restore disks from HP to postpone Vista on my system?

    Thank you

    Pete

If your specific working set of restore disks really depends on if they were created successfully; However, a set of disks of restoration work should certainly work. At least with my CL Pavillion DV-4-1287, Recovery Manager also continued to work after an upgrade to Windows 7, then a reinstallation via clean install without shaped.  Initially, he works with none of the additional steps, in the second, I just need to copy the application on of c:windows.old\program files (x 86) \sminst.  Unless you have reason to do so, while a clean install is the best route, I wouldn't do a format with a clean install, since all your drivers are stored in the Windows.old folder and (dependent on model) the swsetup folder.  Windows 7 can not find the drivers for all devices (five in my case) but on my machine all drivers Vista has of worked - just needed to point the manual driver update function to the appropriate folded equal windows.old or swsetup. BTW, while drivers Vista came with my laptop running Windows 7, the same is not true for some recent updates on the website.

Oh, one last thing would be to update the BIOS before installing Windows 7 from the Flash of the bios Setup program is not yet certified for Windows 7 (no surprise since it's always a BONE development)...

  • Satellite L300 - Question about restore disks

Hello, woner if anyone can offer some advice, I recently had my laptop repaired due to a fall.

However, I thought the operating system needs to install. Confused as performed here, but instead to send back will do it myself.
I am running Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium, or it is a case of purchase of these discs and their execution, no idea about computers, don't know if there is another way. I did creat restore disks, but using them had constantly message saying waiting for the drive to become available, now it says only: insert installation discs.

    Any advice appreciated help.

    Hi tarajanes,

To be honest I really don't have a clue what you mean exactly because your ad is not very clear.

Are you using the Toshiba Recovery disk to restore windows? If so, you will need to insert this disk and boot of it. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

In case you get an error message: what message you get exactly?

  • Re: Satellite L300 - 18 d - how can I get a Vista restore disk?

    Hello world

My laptop (Satellite L300 - 18 d) has been seriously infected by viruses, all corrupt. I need to resinstall Vista but do not have the restore disc. After searching around, I managd to download a restore disk of some sites, but when I used this disc, it gave me an error code which meant the product key was wrong. I used the product key from the bottom of the laptop (I trust this is an OEM). So I guess I need a restore disk that works with my OEM product key.

How can I get the restore disc that will work with my OEM license?

Also, I tried to install XP on my laptop, but it kept giving me a message saying that it could not detect the hard drive, there is nothing wrong with the hard drive, I tested it on another laptop. Is there an any obstacle o install XP on this laptop that came with Vista of origin. Is there a security Messure somewhere that I collapsed to install XP?

    Thanks in advance

  • Question about Tecra M4 system restore disks

I am looking to buy a Tecra M4. Toshiba provide a "correct" restoration method I have no problems with restore disks, but have had problems with windows restore sometimes. They provide a factory restore disc or I have to look at the creation of a Ghost disk.

I need to know just if I can start lookging for a good approx. ghosting before buying.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi Robert,.

Portable Toshiba computers are sold with an OEM "bundle" of the software. This means that you will receive either a CD/DVD that contains an image that can be restored to the full version of the software, or a file preloaded on your laptop from which you can create your own drive can be restored.

This disk can only be used to completely restore your system to its original factory condition, and you cannot use it to selectively restore files or individual components.

You can also receive a tools and Utilities CD/DVD that contains specific Toshiba provided to public services.

If you want to create your own backup copy of your data/system files, then you will need to invest in one of the packages commercial (I use Acronis True Image myself) as well as an appropriate external environment (I use a USB hard drive).

  • Satellite L350-235 a restore disk runs on a brand new HARD drive?

    Hello

My hard drive is dead (completely) 3 days out of warranty.
Recovery discs has not yet loaded, all I had was a black screen and a mouse pointer.

So I bought a new hard drive. Problem I have now is how to install Windows on a new drive.
    What should I get Toshiba?

I obviously paid for Windows Vista, when I bought the laptop, so I'm a little confused on what to do next.
A restore disk will work on a whole new drive?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Didn t drive recovery does not happen with the laptop because you had an option to create one using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.

You now have this disc which can be ordered here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen.
The recovery disk works also with the new HARD drive!
