Pavillion A10 23 - QXT: bluetooth for wireless SoundSticks speakers connection

I have a harman karden soundsticks wireless set.  I can successfully pair it with the HP, but I have no sound.  The pc shows they are connected and bluetooth speakers light is also on, so there should be sound.  The pair of speakers with a mac book pro and an iphone, so the problem is not with the speakers.  When I plug the Soundsticks computer, they work very well.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.  I understand that your speakers work when it is wired, but not when connecting with Bluetooth, on your computer.  I'm happy to help you with this.

I would say from the HP Support Assistant to see if there is a driver more available.

HP Support Assistant

If this does not work for you, then in Device Manager, remove the Bluetooth device and then search for the hardware changes. This will force Windows 10 looking for a compatible driver, or load a generic driver. Give it a try.

    There is no WLan or BT webcams in particular for Libretto laptops!
    If you want to use a webcam Wifi/BT, you can use anyone who is compatible with your operating system.
    Generally these devices support USB interface and you can connect it you little booklet.

    My laptop has a Qualcomm-Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter and there is no sign of me have bluetooth anywhere! I thought this card was also a bluetooth card? Anyway...     I removed the label of my wireless and discovered it's the lowest of lows! Anyway...   • Connection Bluetooth for mobile phone disconnects every hour

    I connect my laptop to my cell phone (Palm Pixi to be exact) via Bluetooth and use it as a wireless router to connect to the internet. This is my only form of internet I have here in the Woods (Yes, I have cell phone coverage, but no cable/DSL). The only problem I have with it is that the Bluetooth connection is reset every hour since when I first connected to it when I turn on my computer. Normally, this isn't a problem for web browsing, since it will automatically reconnect, but I do a lot of games with her and sometimes download large files, and this reset can sometimes extremely boring all at stake in the middle of a fight and is enough to kill a large download. I searched Google many times on how to change the login/timeout settings and haven't found anything useful. Is that what I can do to change how long the Bluetooth remains connected without discount to zero/expire?

    I run Windows XP SP3 and I stack Bluetooth version 4.00.38 (also tried the latest version, the same question).

    Your laptop is missing the bluetooth hardware if your only option would be to buy an external usb bluetooth adapter.

    It is quite popular and works with all Windows operating systems.

    Another thing you could do would be to replace the existing no bluetooth wireless card with one that has bluetooth.

    You couldn't do that if your mobile phone has two antennas wireless connected to the current map.  Some laptops have only a single antenna and repair shows two in any case.

    If you go this route, you may as well go for a dual band with bluetooth card.

    Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260AN 802.11 b/g/n 2 x 2 WiFi + BT4.0 HP Part # 717381-001 would be ideal.

    Here is the link to the service manual.  You can refer to Chapter 5 for the procedures of R & R wlan card, so check to see if your phone has two antennas, and you'll be able to replace the internal bluetooth and wireless card.

    I've read similar questions on the form, and unfortunately I could not find an answer to my question. Starting from 01/12/09, I upgraded to windows 7 home edition with minor compatibility issues (negligible). But, before installing windows 7 I was able to use my headset bluetooth with Skype. Now, sype does not recognize this connection between pc and my bluetooth headset. Ironically enough my pc has allowed for the configuration of my listener. my headset is appointed to be my helmet without wireless/bluetooth for use with Skype or any other program from my PC. In addition, my PC is allowing and acknowledging the connectivity between my PC and the bluetooth headset but not Skype. I tried to reconfigure Skype, but have failed to prove any changes to the default settings. your help is greatly appreciated.
