Pay Option to convert PDF to Excel Trial

Hello

Sorry, I didn't know where to ask this question. I'm looking to convert PDF files to Excel files. I have an option to use a paid option when I open a PDF file in my Adobe Acrobat. Is there a free trial of this service? I'm more than happy to buy the annual subscription, but I don't know if it will convert the files correctly? I tried another conversion and they ave does not work well, I'm just assuming that since I am trying to convert the files are made from Acrobat, this process can be better for the conversion.

Thanks Jr

FYI there is no such thing as 'Acrobat Reader'. It is Acrobat and the free player there.

I can't say with certainty that the mechanism of conversion in Acrobat format is 100% identical to the one offered as an online service, but I guess it is very very similar.

You can try Acrobat free for 30 days and see if it works for you.

    'Marketing' talk.

Is the file being developed 'PDF' and PDF format published by Adobe for ISO a few years ago.

In the Adobe PDF Reference documents and now in ISO 32000-1: 2008 (and the following; 'Part 2') 'export' PDF is described - not "convert".

Factually, it would be 'export '. So 'convert' seems to be a malignant fever of marketing.

I need to convert PDF to Excel, however, the columns and tabs make many merged cells and the number of columns empty. In addition to not separate the columns properly, I see many not separate lines together in the same cell. I even think that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has limits. There is no way to set what points in columns to force the column break? Or create several columns that are unnecessary? PDF does not contain columns, lines, formats, styles or other aspects of word processing or spreadsheet file formats.

This is because the PDF is decidedly not a file format of word processor or a spreadsheet or something 'like' one of these.

(see ISO 32000 for what PDF "is")

Which allows to optimize the export of the content of a page PDF is to start with that tag well formed PDF (ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1).

Without that export is what it is and we performs the cleanup of any necessary content using the native application for the export of files (MS Word or Excel).

  • convert pdf to excel, wanted to see if it worked before subscribing.

And I did not want to send it to the cloud but rather to keep the test on my own machine.  Trying to save money, but it does not give the option to save as excel.

    Hi rmullen,

Adobe does not offer free trials of its Acrobat.com online services. But, if you decide to try it, and is not adapt to your needs, you can cancel within 30 days for a full refund.

If you want to convert PDF files to Excel without doing it through the cloud, then you would like to use Acrobat (not Reader), which allows you to record directly in Excel format (and others) on your desktop.

  • How to convert PDF to EXCEL when the PDF file is PROTECTED by SECURITY and I can't unprotect the file?

I have some statements of AMEX which are PROTECTED by SECURITY PDF and I need to convert them to EXCEL to sum them up.

    Hello

Around that, the only way is to get the AMEX password so that you can open the PDF file. As you have discovered, ExportPDF cannot process files that are protected by Word.

With Acrobat Pro XI, you can use the Action Wizard.

  • Other options to convert PDF scanned text document?

I often receive PDF files where the document has been scanned as an image. I'm wasting time having to retype these. I found a way online to Google to do a conversion, but it is slow (the link below if you're curious).  What are other options to convert this type of PDF to actual text?

    http://www.labnol.org/software/convert-scanned-PDF-images-to-text-with-Google-OCR/5158/

It is in the PDF, not somewhere else. You can then save it as a text file (or DOC) and get the text. Apparently, you use the searchable image, but could also use ClearScan which replaces the image of the text with the text where he thinks that it is successful. The text is on a different layer in the PDF file.

You use Adobe Acrobat or the online service ExportPDF?

In Acrobat, you should load your PDF file, then choose file > export to > spreadsheet > Microsoft Excel workbook

If you use the ExportPDF solution, go to https://cloud.acrobat.com and sign in with your identification code Adobe select the function "Export to PDF" to download your PDF document and wait the Excel (or Word) document is generated.

    Thank you

    Hi Sohail,

Please update the player to the last v 11.0.10 and then check. Also make sure that you're signed in with your Adobe ID in Reader.

Can you please also try to connect to the web url: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf with your Adobe ID and check if you are able to convert the file or not.

Also, please check the following points:

    • In Reader, disconnect and then reconnect.
    • If you use a shared computer, make sure that there is no firewall/proxy setting preventing you to access the service
    • Make sure that the files you are trying to convert are within the limits of size of file for ExportPDF (100 MB).

It worked very well for you before?

    Kind regards

  • The 30 day free trial is only *. I tried to download it six times, but nothing is really downloaded. So I just want to pay the rate, since all I need is just to convert PDF to Word. Nothing more. But the rate posted $ 1.99 / month

  • Problem with convert to PDF from Excel without taking into account the layout and graphics/graphics

I work with Excel files with graphics (clipart) and charts from the data on the worksheet. I use Excel 2007 and everything a year ago and a half downloaded the option "convert to PDF" on the Microsoft website. It has been working beautifully. In Excel, I've got a) set print area b) go to "adjust to a page" print preview can convert to PDF format and everything on the PDF page looked like exactly as it did in Excel print preview. It worked flawlessly...

    UNTIL...

.. .the most recent "upgrades" have been installed. Now the menu reads, "Save as PDF or XPS" option and the PDF is a mess. Excel text comes out OK, but any graph or Excel charts will not resize itself, and are completely out of the page. For example, a chart that is supposed to be in the lower right corner must be resized in Excel, placed in the center of the worksheet, on the text and using this approach, resize, save a PDF routine about 50 times, and you can finally wrong PDF resembling the Excel worksheet. Of course, the Excel spreadsheet is totally messed up because you have to move the chart in the spreadsheet and it's a mess, not to mention a waste of time.

I uninstalled the Converter Microsoft PDF and XPS, and then downloaded and installed the PDF Converter (alone). No luck. It's always a mess. My business is at a standstill until I get this sorted. Help, please!

    KFG

    There is a fix for this.  It is described in a strange article entitled ' Description of the fix Excel 2007 package (Excel-x - none.msp, Graph-x - none.msp, Xlview-x - none.msp): August 25, 2009 "located here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973402/

Before installing, my PDF and XPS exporting from Excel had too much size images.  Now exports are correct, just like before the Service Pack.

Unlike article, my patch was dated 13/10/2009, rather than 19/08/2009.
